TampereNicely located apartment near arles, Camargue, Avignon and Les B
Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We found this rental apartment with a spacious living room + kitchen combo plus a nice bedroom to be in an excellent location for exploring eastern Provence. We were especially interested in Camargue and avignon, both of which were only about half an hour's drive away. Free parking was right on the other side of the road, grocery shop and and bakery were just around the corner. With small kids the situation might be different since the front door opens directly to a village road (not heavy traffic at all, though) but for us, a middle aged couple with modest requirements, it was just about perfect.

Our stay in Paradou was an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Paradou was an excellent base from which to explore Provence, as we anticipated it would be. We found the apartment,in the early French style, very comfortable and met all our needs.
The highlight for us was that our stay coincided with the Paradou annual festival, which included the running of the bulls and various cultural events including the odd glass of red wine.
The people were welcoming and friendly.
Sophie was a great help and we enjoyed meeting her and the family.

NCLe Nid du Paradou
Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This is a spacious and well equipped apartment in a great location of Provence. We traveled out each day to other areas as far as 1.5 hours away and got to see all we had planned. The lodging is quite spacious and comfortable. It appears that it was an old stable, but we did not get the history of the building. The bathroom was updated and shower good. One drawback was that there was no outdoor space for sitting -however, the front casement windows open to let the outside in. Paradou has several good restaurants as well as Maussane which is 1K down the road. Sophie was so pleasant and accommodating. This was also priced well for our budget.

My husband and I recently rented the charming apartment for a week, while we toured the western area of Provence by car. We appreciated it's close proximity to the major attractions such as arles, the Camargue, St. Remy, Les Baux, Avignon etc. We also appreciated the convenience of the corner store, the bakery and the butcher shop, all found within a block of the apartment. The pate from the butcher's was one of the best we have had! Sophie was very helpful regarding things to do and see as well as places to shop and dine. We loved listening to the wind in the plane trees at night and seeing the children walking to school in the morning. A pleasant place indeed!

My month-long stay in the apartment in Le Paradou more than met my expectations. The apartment was ideally located, well-equipped, and the owner always available to help. Everything I needed was within walking distance (general store, bakery, butcher, hairdresser, just around the corner; bus stop less than 200m away). The area is peaceful and the local people very friendly. I walked to Les Baux several times using the loop trail and to Mausanne les alpilles a couple of times a week. The bus goes to arles in one direction and Salon in the other. From the arles train station you can go almost anywhere in France, cheaply and comfortably. There's a small open market Wednesdays in front of the mairie where you can get fresh fish and vegetables. In short, it was the perfect place for me to read, write, paint, walk, eat well, and drink good wine.

Left on 05/16/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Paradou. The property was exactly as described and staying there gave us the unique opportunity to "live" for a week in a small village in Provence with a patisserie, butcher, and small grocery literally around the corner. Sophie speaks English and was wonderful.
