OnakaThe Red Roof Rocks!

We could not have been more satisfied by booking this cabin. The cabin layout was perfect for our multi-aged family group. Certainly the hot tub during our snowy vacation was a big draw. I do recommend printing out in large type (smile) the exact location of this cabin, especially if you're arriving at night and not too familiar with the area. But the location is truly fabulous. The large table off the kitchen and the loft were great gathering spots. We plan on returning next year.

Having never been to SD before, and not knowing where to stay, I did some research on the internet, and ran across Deadwood Connections. They seemed to have a lot of properties, so we chose a few that looked interesting, and called Linda. She was extremely helpful in guiding us as to which property to select. The place looked great in the pictures, but you never know until you get there. Red Roof Lodge met and exceeded our expectations. The location has the feel of being very secluded, and the house was beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped (kids especially loved the hot tub!). Would definitely recommend, and would definitely go there again. Not the closest location to all of the main tourist attractions (Mt. Rushmore, etc.), but not a bad drive either, and if you plan well, you can plan two days to do all of the farther-away touristy stuff, and then just hang out in the Lead area.

This is the second time that I have rented this property. Each time it is a great escape. So quiet and you can see deer and turkeys right across the driveway. It is so relaxing with the hottub and all of the ammenities that are with the home. It is actually a home away from home. I will rent this again if available. I did notice it is up for sale. I hope the new owners will rent it out.

Emerson, neFun for everyone, we liked the lodge very much.
Left on 08/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We were very leary about seeing the lodge for the first time as there have been a few times things were not as promised. Not here!! Everything was as discribed on the it site.
It was beautiful. Surrounded by the hills, with trees, rocks, and local wild life created a very restful place.
Room for our whole family including grandparent, grandchildren, children with spouses and us. It was even big enough for us to invite extended family for a bbq.
We would stay here again. -

This home was very nice.and peaceful... It was so quite staying in the hills. I would stay here in a heartbeat again. From booking the room to checkout the gal was very friendly. The rooms in this cabin are very large, and not far of a drive to see any tourist attraction.
