This is a very spacious 4 bedroom home with extra sleeping areas and 3 levels - sleeps 16! The loft is a large open sleeping area with queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds and the lower level family room serves as a large sleeping area with 2 full-size beds. The 4 bedrooms each have a queen size bed.
The cabin has a large kitchen/dining area with dishwasher, 2 full baths, gas fireplace in the main living area, and a lower level game room with pool table and a private Hot Tub outside on the lower patio. We always attend Mardi Gras weekend in Deadwood and decide since our daughters and their husbands wanted to come along this year, we wanted to do something closer to the skiing and sledding area. Our good friends and their married children decided to come along. The kids grew up together and spent the evenings around the table talking and laughing. And eating... we grilled, played pool, sat in the hot tub, watch movies, played cards, drove to Leads/Deadwood...just had a great weekend. The house was very comfortable, enough room for the 12 of us to be together, yet we could have private time and space if needed. It was perfect for us, easy to find, close to the highway to get in and out.
Joanna picked this place for me after I gave her the list of things we wanted to do and needs. This was the second rental we had booked through her and she is the best. We would definately stay at Whitetail Lodge again and certainly work with Deadwood Connections.

Though with lack of snow, the location was not ideal..
we did love the cabin! It was very roomy, laid out nicely and stocked fairly well.
Only complaint was that we would have loved to do some washing for them, the sheets and towels, but there was no laundry soap.
We love that they moved the hot tub out under the stars, in pics it was inside. Outside was fantastic, ideal to only have to take two steps from the house, great idea!!
We did have alot of difficulty with the key box, very touchy.
Overall we would recommend this cabin, and we will rent it again,

We have a group of 6 couples that make it a point to ride our motorcycles every year in the Black Hills. We use to stay in hotels but for the last two years we have stayed at the Whitetail Lodge and we love it. We all have our own rooms and take turns fixing meals. It's a great time and we love sitting on the porch just sharing our lifes and stories.

My family (my wife, 4 kids) with my in-laws, brother-in-law and his wife, my parents and a nephew stayed here in the summer of 2010 for a few days to cover the beauty of the Black Hills. I grew up in Eastern Wyoming and love to visit the Hills often. Even with family two hours away we chose the Whitetail Lodge for its proximity and convenience. It was an excellent choice. The different levels of the lodge made for enough privacy to keep us in a "I love my family" mood but the floor plan made it easy to all be together when we wanted to be. My parents aren't big on stairs at this point in life but their room was on the main floor with a bathroom next to the room. The kids thought the hot tub was the highlight of the trip (I hope someday it's Mount Rushmore) and the cabin's access to many sites in the Hills allowed us to visit everything we wanted to in just 3 days while staying rested and happy. We also used the grill and the kitchen had everything we needed. We hope to return this summer again. The only flaw was the dust that settled on the porch from the traffic of other cabin's visitors. That wasn't a big deal but 20 minutes of sweeping on day one.

We liked the place and it has got everything that we expected but the restrooms are the only minus because only two and there is none in the basement. If you have smaller group then it is definetely excellent place.
