This building is very well built but the compliments end there. My family and I stayed here for the first week of Oct, being off season, I wouldn't have expected dust and cob-web covered light fixtures and lamps and bath exhaust fans full of dead bugs. Other inconviences include the lack of any alarm clocks, no dressers or suitcase stands, no towel hooks within reach of two showers leaving us to put our towel or robe on a floor that may or may not have been cleaned in years. The floor heat in the entryway and two bathrooms was a nice touch, however, due to improper materials and/or installation, there were hot/cold spots and it never even got to the thermistats' set-point so it was on constantly. Also, there were light bulbs burned out all over the house in important areas (loft bedroom, both sets of stairs, exterior stairs, etc) and the smoke detector in the loft bedroom had been removed and stuffed in the kitchen drawer leaving wires hanging from the ceiling. They may claim that this place can accomodate 10-12 people but there is no way the small cheap electric water heater could handle more than one shower per hour. the last straw was needing to wake up early every day and clean mouse fecies off of the counters and stove. Also the club house was nice but the air hockey table was broken, the pool cues were child sized, and the out door pool that we had been assured would be up and running was not. I could handle a few incoinviences for the right price, but not for what they ask for this property.

It is very important to call the management company and let us know of any issues you have at the cabin. If you had called us right away, we could have taken care of light bulbs and the cleaning issues. I realize that's a pain, but if you were staying at a motel, you would call the front desk right away. We would gladly have worked to make your stay better!
The only response we received from your group was a very nice note in our book about how you enjoyed your stay. -

We rented Cash's Sluice Mon-Fri for 6 people. everyone was comfortable in the large, well appointed home. The home was spotless and everything we needed was there.
There were 2 minor issues- parking and wifi.
Parking seemed precarious when 2 cars were present - there was little room to exit the cars without a chance of slipping on the sloped driveway.
The other issue was the wifi. It was available at the club house but the signal was weak on all devices. We could see the network at the house but no one could connect because it was so weak.
Overall, it was one of the best rentals we have had in the last 10 years and we usually rent 2 or 3 times per year. -

I had no idea this home was not air conditioned. It was over 100 in the hills every day during our stay. The last night the cabin only cooled to 80. It was quite miserable. We normally cook at our vacation home but with the temperatures we did not. I have stayed at many vacation homes in the hills and never one not air conditioned. The cabin was very nice.

Good News! The cabin now has Central Air-Conditioning - as of July 2012.

We loved the roominess of the vacation home. With 3 floors we could spread out and relax. The place was very clean and tidy. The hot tub was superb! Our only negative item was the showers ran out of hot water after only 2 people had showered. Loved the washer/dryer faciltiy! Great option to motels every night! Everyone should be able to rent a great place like this in such a great location.

We are so glad you enjoyed it! We also love the feedback and will check into the hot water issue!

The cabin is really nice and the location is great. There were a few things missing off the list of items that are supposed to be in the cabins that made our stay a little less enjoyable than it could have been.
