Last cabin coming up the hill before Terry Peak Ski Area. Just remodeled 5 bedroom 3 bath cabin, with extra sleeping in loft and bunk house. Full kitchen, two fireplaces, and outdoor fire area on stone patio. Located on 3.5 acres with a place for horses. Located 8 miles from Deadwood, 15 miles from Sturgis. Wireless internet and cable TV. Located on a paved road.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary by staying in the Hugh Bear Cabin for a week, with all our children and grandchildren in attendance. The house is large enough that we were not tripping over each other; it was close enough to various attractions to please everyone, including picnics, hiking and tourist attractions. But it was Randy & Julie who made our stay as great as it was. We hope to return in the future. We can't imagine anyone not having as great a time as we had.

Very close to Lead and Deadwood, both very fun towns with lots to do...All the Black hills were easily accessed from this site yet was remote enough to be very quiet...
15 of my family members stayed and never used half of the space in this house...
We all agreed to come back and do this again, it was such a fun place... -

My favorite part about staying at the cabin is it's size. There are enough bed rooms to fit my whole family and then some. If you really wanted to or needed to you could sleep at least 17 or 18 people, no including couches. It was so nice to be in such a beautiful place with the whole clan. We could make all our own meals because it has a nice big kitchen and a laundry room and everything for when we went and played outside. It is also close to Spearfish Canyon so we could go on little hikes and to the grocery store which is really close. We didn't really have to go far to feel like we were secluded. The cabin is on a road that is busier during the day, but is far enough out of town that at night there is complete silence and you can see every star in the sky. The cabin is only minutes from Lead and Deadwood which can be entertaining which some family found handy since we're not all breed for the outdoors. Long story short, it was a great place for a get away!

I spent the summer 2010 in the Black Hills and stayed at the Hugh Bear Cabin. I couldnt have been better! The location is great, the host family Huber are very friendly and the cabin itself are perfect. I had one of my best summers there!
