This property had just about all you could wish for, including no mobile reception! Making your own fire, looking out over the valley, near enough to pub/restaurant, village shops and good coffee places. Loads of peaceful good walks nearby, but within reach of places of interest if you want such things to explore.

A beautiful little cottage with an excellent location. Very warm welcome from the owner and the little touches made all the difference. We stayed 1st week October 2011 and can't wait to book again for next year.

This was our second stay at the cottage and we were pleased to discover our good memories were well founded. From the friendly welcome to the decor and facilities all aspects of this cottage were marvellous. The village centre of Lealholm is just a short stroll and Whitby, the wider coast and the North York Moors are on the doorstep. In short a wonderful cottage in a great location.

We found this cottage to be full of character with many details that are not always found in rentals.
The owner was very helpful and our stay was lovely.
