Everett, WATruly the Perfect Summer Getaway!
Left on 08/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Wendy has set out to create what she advertises - the Perfect Summer Getaway. She is attentive, professional and responded very quickly to any questions we had.
We (two families with 9 people total)felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The cabin is so beautifully furnished that we all raced from room to room to see what we would find next. We were not disappointed! The kitchen had plenty of room for all nine of us to hang out while prepping meals. We also had lots of room to spread out inside and out. The layout of this cabin is perfect for groups like ours.
The moms loved that the cabin was stocked at least as well as our homes. Spices, pots and pans, zip lock bags, cleaning supplies, towels, sheets, pillows, games, puzzles, two televisions. The dads loved the location - close to Lake Wenatchee, not too far from town, the 59er Diner (serves amazing lattes, but are known for their milkshakes), Nason Creek, hiking and golfing are all in the area. The teenagers loved the hot tub and were, in fact, just as happy when hanging out in the cabin as they were when off on adventures.
We read other reviews about water pressure so we divided up so some took showers in the morning, others at night. We ran the dishwasher in the middle of the day and all worked out well.
Thank you, Wendy, for sharing your beautiful home away from home with us. We're planning to come back again as soon as we can!Response from wendy l. bannon - 11/14/2012

Thank you Debbie for the wonderful review. We loved having you as our guest! We hope to see you again.
I wanted to let you and our future guests know that the water pressure situation has been fixed so no worries with having to juggle showers.

I rented this cabin with 7 other girls and we all had such a fantastic getaway. We loved that it wasn't too far from town but far enough to feel like we were in the mountains. We all loved the hot tub! There was plenty of room for all of us and then some. You will love this cabin, were already planning next years trip!

This magical cabin was something out of a romantic movie. The full kitchen was fabulous the cupboards were full with dishes, spices and all I need to do was cook! The hot tub outside was just surreal. And the two levels created privacy for the two couples. This was a cozy, romantic get-away that will be hard to beat! The location to Leavenworth and Stevens pass snowboarding was about 15mins. Wendy was so east to talk to and accommodating!

Left on 10/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Late September, we stayed 2 nights at this wonderful home for my husbands birthday. The house is very big, with lots of room, clean and comfy. Check-in & out was simple to do. Everything was in working order & it was very easy to make ourselves at home here. We only left to tour downtown Leavenworth. Wendy is a superb owner and very quick to reply back. I would stay here again and also recommend to others.

Seabeck, WashingtonA wondrous way to experience Leavenworth!
Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in October 2011
My wife, good friends and I have stayed at the Gotta Getaway on so many occasions I have lost count! My wife and I were married in Leavenworth in March 2001 (at the Mountain Home Lodge) and go back to visit usually twice a year. We met Wendy Bannon one summer while she was tubing down the river with her kids. She told us about the Gotta Getaway and we decided to stop by on our way home to see it. We immediately fell in love with it; the spacious kitchen, warmth of the woodwork, hot tub and the fact that it was nestled away in the trees 1/4 mile away from Hoghway 2 and Cole's corner. (It's about 20 minutes from Stevens Pass sans snow and 15 miles from Leavenworth). While there in October 2010 we brought the bicycle and I ran two scenic training runs (for the Portland Marathon) to Fish Lake and back from the cabin (13 miles round trip). We plan ahead with friends and cook all meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The 2 fireplaces are very cozy for our December stays and there is nothing quite like jumping out of the hot tub into fresh snow! The cabin is always very clean and nicely decorated for the Holidays. I almost hesistate to make any positive recommendation for fear that we may have problems getting reservations in the future! Sometimes it is also nice to "Get away" from the hustle and bustle of Leavenworth. By traveling with friends and cooking meals, you can spend an awesome weekend experiencing Leavenworth without busting the bank account. We have already reserved our stays for the 2011 Oktoberfest and New Year's Eve!

Columbus, GAExcellent choice for large parties/families!
Left on 06/08/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The Gotta Getaway is a great choice for lodging in Leavenworth, esp if you are traveling with a larger party. The cabin is extremely spacious and open. It has a phenomenally equipped kitchen. There are tons of extra linens, blankets, pillows and towels, so no fear of running short there. I loved that there were tons of board games and dvd's available along with other fun things like books and cards. Hot tub worked well and was so relaxing. If you are traveling with kids or a large group, this accommodation far exceeds any of the hotels in town from a value perspective. The only downside is that you are right next door to another cabin that is very close (shares a driveway). If you are looking for a little more privacy this would not be ideal. But there was no one staying at the other cabin when we were there so it was not an issue for us at all. Also, the cleaning fee is a little steep esp if you only stay 1-2 nights, but I still would recommend this place highly. I would definitely stay here again on future trips to L'worth.

Seattle WaPerfect For a Family Getaway
Left on 03/27/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We decided to stay at this vacation rental because of it's proximity to Leavenworth, it's size, and price. It was perfect for my family, consisting of my husband and 5 month old baby and my mom and brother. There is a ton of space, yet it is cozy and it truly does have everything you need including all kitchen gadgets, games, laundry, etc. My mom is a neat freak and she thought this place was very clean. The hot tub was really nice. It was really great to be able to go sit out in it with all of the snow around and relax while my family watched the baby. This place is right off the highway and very easy to find. My brother is a climber so he went off for a few hours for a hike, and brought back some amazing photos. My only complaint would be that there are other houses right by this house. This really was not a issue for us because there was no one staying in them at the time of our visit. We would stay here again for sure.

SeattleBeautiful, Spacious, Cozy and Super-Clean!
Left on 03/25/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This cabin was absolutely wonderful! Much larger than we anticipated, yet still so cozy and warm. It had everything you could possibly want; the kitchen had more utensils and cookware than our own! I really liked the fact that it was spotlessly clean. It was beautifully decorated too. The deer heads on the wall were the perfect authentic touch!
It was also extremely easy to get to, even with lots of snow on the ground. The owner's recommendation of the "59'er Diner" for burgers and shakes was perfect after our drive from Seattle. The waitstaff gave us "UNO" to play while we waited for our food!
Loved the hot tub; we watched the full moon rise through the snow covered trees; priceless! We will definately come back again. -

Poulsbo, WAThe Perfect Cabin
Left on 02/20/2011 for a stay in June 2010
What a great place! We really enjoyed our stay. It has a cozy cabin feeling, but it is really spacious.
When we weren't out seeing the sites, like beautiful Leavonworth...we would sit downstairs in the kitchen, while the kids went upstairs in the huge "bonus" room and watched TV on the big screen or play game. There is a lot of room to stretch out.
At night after we got out of the jacuzzi, we would relax downstairs in the living room, and enjoy a glass of wine.
This cabin has the best of everything. We plan on coming back again...and again. -

Maple Valley, WAA good time
Left on 02/15/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Did a weekend retreat with Family and cousins. Great proximity to Leavenworth (15 miles) and Stevens Pass (20 Minutes?) Skied Saturday afternoon / evening at Stevens. Great night skiing, and friendly slopes for beginners.
Cabin was great to come back to with hot tub and wood stoves. Made for a cozy evening. Interior had clearly been upgraded with knotty pine walls and new carpet . Downstair bed was squeaky otherwise nice place. -

I have stayed there twice with my extended family and have loved it. there is plenty of room with a large kitchen to cook meals. we enjoy the hot tube and the peace and quiet. it's rustic on the inside, but done in very good taste. it's always clean with any supplies we may need. we usually walk the trails near the cabin.

A wonderful, spacious cabin which feels more like a home. Fully stocked with all of the necessities. Access to skiing, sledding and shopping are close by and proximity to the freeway is great in inclement weather. We had lots of kids of various ages, but felt like there was a place for everyone. If you are up for a private getaway and want to lounge around in the cabin all weekend, that works too. We did a little of both. Clean, comfortable and I would definitely rent again.

Stayed at your house twice with the Neal family...once in the summer and just the past weekend. Loved it!
Only 1 thing that I felt needed attention
1. Hot water in kitchen runs out too fast. While doing dishes, it lasted only a few minutes.
