Entirely fenced property is .55 acres. Dwelling lies to the back of the property, bordering a protected bird reserve. Block/cement front wall by street rests 4' high and is gated by 7' tall x 14' wide pair of Caribbean style whitewashed gates. The exterior finish of the house is durable, maintenance-free white cement rendered in block style to simulate coral render (aka Barbados stone). A lush courtyard is framed on three sides by an Ipee walkway which leads to entryways for all rooms on the main floor. This walkway is supported by Roman columns covered in confederate jasmine climbing vines and is sheltered by a cedar shingled roof. Interior... floors are Travertine tiles imported from Turkey, 16" x 16", with the exceptions of the office and master bedroom where hardwoods were used. All entry doors, excluding the front door seen from the driveway, face the center courtyard and the flora and fauna within.

Solid antique brass hardware seen throughout the house was imported from South Africa (Peter Butchel, the official supplier of hardware for The Regent Palms Hotel on Grace Bay). Specialty hardware includes parliament hinges on doors and shutters, cremone locks on windows. Each entryway features both wooden mosquito screen doors and wooden panel or louvered doors. Retractable mosquito screens on the windows allows access to exterior louvered shutters, which provides not only excellent ventilation and breeze inside the rooms but more importantly an extremely quick and easy hurricane preparation. Almost every window is bi-fold, which adds to the historical looking charm of the house but also offers the versatility in choosing breeze when in the open position, or A/C when in the closed position. 12,000 Btu A/C's are in each individual room. High vaulted T&G; ceilings with isolated roofs featured in all rooms (except open rafter concept in guest bedrooms) keeps the house cool during the hottest summer season. A generator back up system can be implemented with the flick of a switch in case of any power outage. The sound system control is located in the living room which powers sixteen speakers placed throughout the property to give ambiance music wherever residents may be.

  A very special place

  First, let me start by saying, Stacie is great. She is a very helpfull host and will do anything to make your stay as great as great can be. I took my wife, 2 kids, Mother-in-law, brother in-law and his wife here for a week of paradise. I have been to a lot of the islands in the carribean, and this island holds a back seat to none. It is simply breathtaking. The people are very friendly and the food is some of the best island food I have ever had. But the thing that will always stand out in my mind and heart is this house.From the first time I pulled in the driveway to the time we HAD to leave I fell in love with this Place. The care and thought that went into building this house reminds me, so much, of something I would do myself. It is unlike any other place you will ever stay, \"Trust me\". They have thought of everything. It is close enough to the beach that you can walk, (although, my wife made me drive them, to the beach,every day), but i didnt mind because we had rented these cool doom buggies and three wheel Spikes, yet off the beaten path just enough, to make it feel like there is no one else near you. I can\'t say enough about it. It was great!!! I will return to this place in the near future. Thank you again Stacie.

  Paradise

  Just returned from Fleur de Lis/Turks & Caicos. What a dream house. Went with my daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren, my son and his girlfriend. The Villa is set up in such an awesome design, that no one felt crowded or imposed upon. Beach is a 10 min. walk or 2 minute drive. Spectacular water color and the clearest skies - soooo many stars! The Villa was beautifully decorated in a shabby sheek design and had everything you could possibly need (except food) - but local grocery store solved that problem. Wonderful restaurants and shopping a couple of miles away from this gated community. Stacie, the owner was a dream and so accommodating and helpful. Would highly recommend.

  Family Xmas

  Where to begin....from our past experiences usually once we arrive at our destination we are disappointed because the video was always nicer, that was NOT the case with the Fleur de Lys, it was even better! The owners thought of everything! everywhere you look, everything you touch is an added touch. I couldn\'t believe anyone would ever share such a beautiful home. Everything was organized, clean & user friendly. We arrived and felt completely at home within the hour, If by chance you did have a question both Stacie & Stephan were a call away & always happy to help. We were a party of 8, and were never in each others way, we only wish we had more time to enjoy the home theatre :(but the beautiful beach was calling us! The beach cannot be put into words, you have to see it for yourself. The views from the Master suite were outstanding combined with the sounds of the birds and the wind in the trees one would think you had died and landed in heaven. The only reason we wouldn\'t recommend this gem to anyone would be because we want it to ourselves. As far as restaurants go, we actually only ate out twice (hated to leave the villa) one time for dinner at CoCo Bistro, a must do! and lunch at the Conch Shack, always a fun lunch! My children rented sea doo\'s for an hour and had a blast and we went on a snorkel boat trip to Iguana island. All in all we would rate our vacation a 6*, even car rental at Grace Bay Car rentals was a breeze. Airport staff were kind & friendly & actually had great Pizza\'s at the airport. We can\'t wait to do it again, soon. Its going to be hard to top our Xmas of 2010!

  Horrible experience

  This was a horrible booking experience, the stay was ruined by continued calls to the property manager for a broken air conditioner, spa not working, and the final check out was fraught extra charges like having to pay extra for a/C (which by the way wasn't working in all rooms). Makes the whole Turks experience horrible and would never go back - not to the house... and even ruined the experience of the island. The owners were rude and not customer friendly on top of that! Don't be fooled by the pictures.
