A car is recommended as the main form of access to and from the property, due to the hillside location and the main centre of the pretty historical village of Lenno, the oldest on Lake Como can then be conveniently reached. However, the lakeshore is only a 10 minute walk and all Lenno amenities only 5 minute walk.
The beautiful lakefront promenade of Lenno provides a choice of cafes, bars and restaurants and is an ideal place to relax with a coffee or evening aperitif with a glass of Prosecco. The promenade leads visitors around the bay to the Lido di Lenno, a daytime Bar with a family-friendly sandy beach which turns into a fashionable place to enjoy the evening, with a romantic lakeside Restaurant and a popular Club where locals, visitors and Milanese alike enjoy the summer nights.
‘Villa del Balbianello’, one of the jewels on Lake Como is also situated on the bay of Lenno and can be reached by foot through its woodland grounds or by taxi boat which operates frequently throughout the day from the Lido di Lenno.
The village also offers a wide variety of modern local services including Supermarkets, Banks, a Pharmacy and local grocery shops. A regular Lake Como Bus and a Passenger Ferry service also runs from the village.
Nearby, the village of Mezzegra features a children’s Park and the village of Ossuccio features Tennis courts, a Swimming area and a Boat rental company.
Guests can also easily reach the many local attractions on offer on the central lake by car including the beautiful lakefront Park with Boathouse Bar in Tremezzo, the wonderful ‘Villa Carlotta’ with its famous botanical garden as well as the southern cosmopolitan city of Como.
The picturesque and visitor friendly ‘Golden Triangle’ towns of Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna can be easily reached by the regular Passenger and Car Ferry service which operates from Cadenabbia. Alternatively Menaggio can be reached by car in just 15 minutes.
