The house is today, after a careful and painstaking restoration, an Art Gallery, a Drawing and Cookery Workshop, a Residence with four stylish apartments where you can spend weeks in complete relax.

We stayed here for three nights and loved every minute. We were greeted by a young man who showed us around the villa and then took us to our apartment. He was very polite and very competent as he explained the information about the villa as well as the Lake. I think this is the most beautiful villa we have ever stayed in. It is a little far from the town of Lenno but was a good trade off. This is a class operation and I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Bjr nous avions reserve fin juillet 2012 l apartement one bedroom. Nous pensions vue lac et calme. Helas vue de cote sur la route et le lac, route bruyante,4 etage a pied, sous les toits donc chambre mansardee avec 1m de hauteur sur la moitie du lit. Guere utilisable . Ne pas se relever la nuit Loin du centre et des bars, et de l embarcadere, voiture obligatoire.. Aller a pied au bar et bateau est loin.
Sinon superbe apart, sauf la chambre trop basse. Un peu chaud bienque climatisation. Tres belle deco, bel accueil et personne de qualite. Helas nous voulions autre chose et roberta n a pas voulu annuler et nous a oblige a payer. Nous sommes restes le coeur gros, car nous voulions autre chose apres 1000 km et 12h de route. On annulait et c etait tout.
Le restau en bas ds la rue est sympa mais sous la route. Seule l epicerie de la mama italienne en bas est super. Mais pas un petit endroit a pied sur le lac pour avoir du calme et un drink.
Roberta a une splendide batisse et deco et qualite et proprete et service, mais ne pas pouvoir ouvrir fenetre, et ne pas en avoir ds la chambre, ca ne peut pas le faiire,
Elle aurait du nous laisser partir je pense, bons amis.
Les 2 autres apart ont une terrasse je pense. Il faisait 30 deg. Nous souhaitions de l air de la vue du calme. Nous n avons peut etre pas assez regarde l annonce certes mais la chambre et la route ne sont pas compatibles avec des vacances reposantes et aérées. Nous sommes en ville toute l annee, ce n est pas pour ecouter encore les voitures. -

Casa muy bonita, muy bien restaurada, estilo moderno minimalista, con pinturas y esculturas por todas partes, muy limpia y muy cuidada. Está situada muy cerca de Lenno, a 15 minutos caminando, y cerca del lago y de villas preciosas.
Nuestro apartamento daba parcialmente a la carretera, por lo que había bastante ruido, muy molesto por la noche. No hay aire acondicionado o ventiladores, por lo que de noche hacía mucho calor. El baño, con ducha, muy moderno y limpio, pero sin productos de baño (sólo jabón de manos).
Nos sentimos muy bien acogidos por anka (la otra joya de la casa), quien nos ayudó en todo lo posible, y por alessandro, a pesar de su accidente de moto.
El desayuno sencillo pero bueno, servido en la terraza por anka. -

- beautiful old mansion filled with arts and culture in every corner, ultra modern designer interior and state of the art facilities
- extremely friendly and helpful hotel staff, even picked us up in pouring thunderstorm when we were trapped on the hill
- magnificent view of the breathtaking surroundings from every part of the hotel, we loved the private balcony so much could never have enough of the lake and mountains
- great location, easy to get to by car, and so convenient to explore the best possible parts of lake Como
- simple but good quality breakfast with excellent service -

I visited Residenza Casa Brenna Tosatto in the last days of July and first week of august 2011, staying for a week with my spouse. We were overwhelmed by the beauty, art, quality and cultural inspiration that we found here. Not only is it in a wonderful location for walking or taking short trips by car or to the ferry ports, but it is a luxurious oasis to return to after a day of sight-seeing, villa-visiting or mountain hiking in the beautiful Lake Como area. We stayed in the Sofia suite and each morning had a lovely breakfast on the huge and beautiful terrace. We were totally impressed by the service quality and attention to detail by the staff. Roberta is an excellent hostess and she and her husband Franco and family provided far beyond above-average expectations in terms of hospitality. We were impressed with all of the "extras" in terms of tourist information, as well as the opportunity to experience Lake Como on Franco's boat. We also liked having the option to either have staff prepare a breakfast or to prepare our own in the kitchen which included high-quality amenities. Our experience of Tosatto was wonderful and the beauty and quality of both the Villa and the people involved in its daily operations really made this an experience we shall never forget. Roberta really takes an interest in the guests interests and does an amazing job to cater to the guests wishes and tastes. Without a doubt, this is a fantastic place to vacation for a "Boutique Villa" experience coming the best elements of a fantastic location, terrific service, art gallery and modern amenities and amazing views of the lake and mountains. We left feeling refreshed and inspired and would love to visit Tosatto again.

Wonderful stay at Lake Como

Casa Brenna Tosatto was an unexpected find. The rooms were all elegantly appointed and if you can, try to get the Sophia room which has its own terrace. We had breakfast on the terrace each morning and took in views of the lake and the mountains. It was a wonderful way to start the day.
Roberta and her family and staff are gracious hosts and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Anka brought us breakfast every morning. Roberta gave us a personal tour of Menaggio and introduced us to manzotti (sp?), a delicious pastry with you choice of spreads and fillings. We gorged on the pana and crema ones. She also arranged for a personal boat tour of the lake with her husband and son. Cruising the lake in Franco's mint condition Riva on a sunny day was breathtaking. We heard the stories behind the villas on the lake and their famous owners (yes, including Clooney's; too bad he was at the Venice film festival at the time). Roberta also took the time to give us suggestions on our itinerary and restaurants. She was always energetic and full of warmth. We felt like we really got the insider's peak into the area.
We stayed at Casa BT for 5 nights and had a car for 3 days which made for getting to restaurants more easily. There's a trattoria by Casa BT, but other restaurants are about a 15 minute walk away, by the Lenno ferry terminal. The last couple of days, we just walked around or took the ferry as it isn't easy to hail a cab outside the main towns. The apartments are fully serviced and there's a grocery store less than a 10 min walk away so if eating in is preferred, you could easily do so.
All the rooms have been beautifully restored and have modern amenities. However, there is no elevator, so you will be getting some exercise climbing the stairs (which is a good thing). The house is by the main road so noise from the traffic can get quite loud. With the windows closed, it shouldn't bother you.
Overall, we loved our stay at Casa BT and want to give special thanks to Roberta, her staff and family for taking such good care of us and showing us an amazing time in Lake Como. We will treasure the memories. -

A beginning of the century house totally renovated, with a very charming mix of antique and contemporary taste, superior care of the small details, from the materials used to the food served at breakfast. The view from many of the rooms is lovely and if you visit the place during the Saint John celebrations (24th of June) you also have a privileged balcony from where to watch the fireworks away from the crowd.

I've been several times in Como Lake but this peculiar area is quite different from the others; I booked Sofia Brenna apartment and having breakfast in its wonderful terrace was an extraordinary experience, room service was great and all other facilities were ok.

I fell in love with the house when I visited it last September during a conference held close to it. Unfortunately it was not ready to stay there so we had to come back. We spent a beautiful weekend in the calm surrounding of Comom lake area. The rooms are all different - be sure to see them all to find the one that fits best for you ! We had the appartment style room with a balcony and a great view. The quality of the renovation of this old house is great. The owner family is very kind and open minded. If you want to escape and are looking for a place to relax this is a place to go. The only downside may be the road in front of the house ...
