Beautifully decorated luxury chalet near Veysonnaz

The chalet is situated at a height of 1800 meters in the authentic Swiss village Les Collons 1800 which is part of Les Quatres Vallées. With an extensive view over the Dent Blanc, the Matterhorn and the valley of Sion with all it's vineyards, the panoramic scenery of the house is formidable. In the wintertime, at this level, everything is white and the views are magnificent. You can park your car in one of the two garages that come with the house and that are only 20 meters on a walking distance from the chalet.

The chalet is built on the western slope of the mountain and has an unobstructed view over the valley, Val d'Herens below. T...he chalet has three floors of which the middle floor is the residential floor. On the top- and bottom floor, there are separate sleeping quarters so privacy is ensured when more than one family resides in the house.

The lounge windows and balconies provide a beautiful view across the valley below and the mountainpeaks. To fully enjoy these surroundings, the chalet has a partly roofed-in terrace that offers views of the valley and mountainside and where you can sit under a fleece blanket and take in the environment and clean air.

The inside of the chalet is modern but cozy and has all amenities one can think of.

While building the chalet we have kept in mind that the chalet should breath modernity, openness and warmth. On the ground floor of the chalet we have a Spa area with jacuzzi, Jetstream pool, sauna and large shower. The bathrooms in the house all have a seperate bath and a seperate shower.

There is a spacious cosy living area with fireplace and open kitchen.

The house is decorated in a modern but homely style. It is a mixture of old and new with Arne Jacobsen chairs, Louis Poulsen lamps, Paul´s Potten decorations, Ikea sofa´s, Hema towelling, antique cabinets, etc etc. We have brought many many books and games to the house for everybody's enjoyment.

When guests rent the chalet, all use of linnens, towels, beachtowels, bathrobes and the cleaning are included in the rates.

Additional Location Information

Wallis is situated in the Alpes in the most southern, French speaking part of Switzerland, on a 2 hour drive from Geneva and 1 an hour drive from Lake Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux.

It is the warmest and also one of the oldest parts of Switserland.
The tops of the mountains in this area are covered with perpetual snow so also in summertime the views of the valley offer white mountaintops.

The village of Les Collons 1800 is quite new and offers a small variety of restaurants, a tourist Office, a bank, 2 small supermarkets, a small bakery where you can get warm croissants every morning, some shops and a skilift up to Thyon 2000.

In the winter sports season the area of Les Collons- Thyon 2000 is perfect for beginners, children and well practised skiiers and snowboarders.

Children and beginners can stay close to Les Collons and Thyon while well practised sporters might go as far as the area of Veysonnaz and Verbier.

Up at Thyon 2000 there is a halfpipe and a funpark for snowboarders.
The ski area of Les Collons- Thyon 2000 is part of the Quatres Vallees ski area , the largest of Switzerland.

There are 386 kilometers of slope, 99 lifts, 19 traincabines while the height of the lifts goes up to 3300 meters! At Thyon 2000 there is also a langlauftrack.
