An apartment in a holiday residence in Letojanni, just 4 km away from Taormina, the town that is also renown as 'the pearl of the Mediterranean sea'. The holiday residence is coloured with some Mediterranean plants. The spacious terrace offers breathtaking views on the bay of Taormina. The house distances 600 meter from the beach of Letojanni (entrance through path next to Hotel Silemi). In low season a car is recommended, but in the summer there is a frequent bus-connection from the residence to Letojanni. The beach at Letojanni has a good range of Lidi (beach clubs offering facilities ranging from restaurants and bars to loungers, umbrellas and water sports). The town itself has a selection of bars and restaurants and a charming main square. Taormina is a few minutes drive away and Catania and Syracuse are easily reachable for day trips. Perched on a rocky promontory high above the sea, Taormina has been the most popular tourist destination in Sicily for a couple of hundred of years. Beautifully restored medieval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with shops, bars and restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Taormina is served by its very own cable car which ferries tourists to and from the seaside resorts down along the coast. Extensive beaches, rocky coves, tiny islands (such as the famous Isola Bella) and sea stacks abound, making this enchanting coastline a firm favourite with Sicilians and visitors alike.
