    Additional Location Information

Our beachfront cottages are RIGHT ON THE ONLY BEACH in Little Leverick Bay, around the corner from the Leverick Bay Resort. This whole area of Leverick Bay is within the NORTH SOUND, a magnificent protected sound surrounded by beach villas and other island resorts on the northern "breezy" end of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, Caribbean. The other "town" end of the island misses out on these wonderful breezes as does the western side of the island. Our azure waters are safe and fabulous for boating, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, windsurfing etc. Richard Branson's Necker Island is around the corner from us - so I need say no more!!! Come and enjoy!

I'd like to share a Google Maps link to see our cottages with you.

    Link:

Tea & Coffee Beachfront Cottages are the 2 white round roofs at the end of the private cove with the tiny jetty in front of them.
To the left is our coconut grove.
To the left of our coconut grove is a white "cross" shaped roof, that is our private home.
To the left of our private home are only 3 other houses.

If you 'walk' over the small hill you will see large red roofs and a small marina. That is Leverick Bay Resort and Marina!

It's exactly what we were wishing for

Left on 05/15/2013 for a stay in March 2013

This is our second time back at the Tea Cottage. We were surprised to see so much updating done fo the cottage.. . new screens, a safe, new curtains and bedding, towels.
We loved how the prior visitors left condiments, seasonings, olive oil, even wine and rum ! Grilling ouside your door while watching the yachts go by or the pelican diving for a snack was spectacular! The location is soo perfect, right on the beach! The waters are so warm, so healing. The under the -sea-world is breathtaking! It's just like swimming in an aquarium but even better. Sometimes you are alone on a beach, sharing it with roosters and goats! The Leverick Bay area is fun and activities are always offered. Entertainment, food, swimming, friendly staff, there to help with questions, with smiles upon their faces. Coffee and Tea Cottages and Virgin Gorda is like finding the end of the rainbow! Thank you Bianca!! Your dad is looking down on you with a smile!

Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013

I want to echo the praise of so many others and say what a wonderful place to stay the Coffee was. It was nice and private but within walking distance to Leverick Bay. I came to dive and Dive BVI is at Leverick Bay and very good. It was very clean and well taken care of. We picked up a few items at the store and were able to make our own meals as desired. The bed was comfortable. The view was fantastic. Even the snorkling out front was good. Just the perfect place for us to stay. Having driven all over the island and looked in on all the other top places to stay we felt for the price and what we got, that we had the best value for money. Really enjoyed being up on the North sound also.

Pure Paradise...Can't wait to go back!

Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in October 2012

So it's taken me way to long to write this review...my only excuse is that I wasn't sure how to put into words! Words just don't do it justice! The cottage is very private and nestled into the hillside and over looks beautiful turquoise waters. My husband Jim and I were celebrating our 15 yr wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place! The cottages are just a short stroll over to Leverick Bay resort, where there is all kinds of amenities... restaurant, beach bar, shopping, swimming pool, spa. ( treated myself to a massage one day) We also rented rented a car for our stay, so we could explore the whole Island... Bianca the owner was staying in the cottage next to us and offered great tips on secret beaches and best snorkeling. We were on the go it seemed like the whole time...by choice! We had so much fun everyday with a new adventure, we kayaked from the cottage across the bay to Saba Rock, we hiked Gorda Peak, explored the Baths, went to the Mine Shaft, went to every beach on the island, a day trip on the ferry to the island of anegada.
We had wonderful dinners and lunches out...some of our favorites were Mad Dog at the Baths, for a formal night out and great happy hour we enjoyed CocoMaya, we had the pleasure of meeting lots of the locals at the Halloween Party at Chez Bamboo, the food was amazing!! Then the party and dancing started..oh so much fun!!! A great place for a drink and the best view of Leverick Bay head up to Hog Heaven. There are also two free shuttle ferries to take you to Saba Rock, Bitterend Resort, Biras Creek, and the Fat Virgin! Fat Virgin was our favorite place, (Thanx Bianca for being our guest on our last night.)
Besides all the exploring we did on the island we enjoyed coming back to the cottage and grilling fresh fish on the grill and relaxing with a glass of wine. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking. Everything with the cottage was just perfect, I've never slept so peaceful, with the sounds of the waves and the sweet smell of the salty air. The cottages are very well maintained and Bianca takes great pride in making sure everything is just right along with the daily maid service.
We're saving our $ Bianca...hope to see you in October! <3

Another great stay at the Coffee Cottage

Left on 04/03/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We had to return after last year because we had such a great time! We snorkeled all over the island last time and this time but also realized there is great snorkeling down to the right from the cottage. Just walk out the door and hop in the water. The Regatta was taking place and there were sailboats and mega yachts from all over the world docked over at the new Mega Yacht resort across from the Bitter End. Dining was wonderful at Coca Maya and at the Liverick Bay Resort restaurant. The cottage was great, weather was awesome which was a word I used a lot during the week, especially while snorkeling. We say rays, huge starfish over at Deep Bay (Biras Creek) , Turtles by Eustacia and Prickly Pear and squid and all kinds of fish at Long Bay. There was actually a large eel handing out in some coral near the cottage that we saw three days in a row. lastly, Trunk Bay to the Bath's was a great place to see several kinds of large Parrot fish.

You can't beat the beauty and value of the cottages.

      Delightful!

We stayed in Coffee Cottage for two weeks in November. The cottage is in a beautiful location right next to the sea and is very peaceful as it is situated at the end of a little used road. The beach can be accessed from this road or via steps by the side of Tea Cottage. The sea is great for both swimming and snorkelling. The accommodation is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. The cottage is very clean and towels and bed linen changed frequently. Beach towels are provided and regularly changed. The owner, Bianca, was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Virgin Gorda is a beautiful island and Coffee Cottage was , for us, the perfect place to stay.

One month in paradise for a September/October stay

Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in September 2012

A friend told me about Coffee & Tea Beachfront cottages and we booked for a whole month. Needing a good break, these Cottages on a quiet private cove were just perfect! Fresh, spotlessly clean and cared for, we loved every moment we stayed there! It is the small touches that made it feel like home! Even though it was the "off season" the weather was pure heaven. Each day was blessed with blue sky as we sat on our deck looking out to the other islands or snorkeled right off the cottage beach. We saw corals, coloured fish and even lobsters! We have traveled a lifetime and these cottages in this fabulous cove hit the spot in every way. The owner Bianca was there and welcomed us! She provides a guest book filled with good tips for food shopping and places to see to make sure we didn't miss out! We stayed in Coffee Cottage and just adored it! The Cottages provide everything you need including new safes, lovely dinnerware, new linen and towels. The deck BBQ works a treat and we cooked many meals whilst listening to our iPod which plugged into the new docking stations provided. We couldn't fault the Cottage in any way and just adored the matching decor. Fresh breezes blow through the cottage and although it was summer, we never needed to use the air Con... Everything written in the description of the Cottages is true...this owner really cares for and maintains the place. What we also found perfect was the Leverick Bay Resort that was just around the next cove, a short walk away where we enjoyed many nights at the Jumbies Bar & in the Restaurant. The stores there were very handy to stock our kitchen or buy gifts. We also hired a jeep to see the rest of the Island which is just pure heaven, so much to see and do, so many other fabulous restaurants also in Spanish Town only 10 miles away...Virgin Gorda is a stunning Island, safe and pristine!!
We highly recommend these Cottages to anyone wanting a perfect tropical holiday without breaking the bank!! They are just the best value ever!! We have already booked to come back next year!

Awesome experience on VG. Fall a sleep to the sound of the waves, sit on the deck for great views and enjoy the peace and quite of this unique get away. We've stayed in Tortola, St. John, and other places in the region but the cottages are a very unique and different experience. A bonus is that you get to use the Leverick Bay resort in walking distance away and there is daily maid service. Check out the Jumbies at the Beach BBQ on Saturday or take a day sail out of the marina with Bravara! The Saba Rock, Bitter End and Biras Creek areas are just minutes away on free boat rides! If you are looking for a clean, quite and romantic get away, this is the ticket!

"Our favourite accomodation in the Virgin Islands!!"

Left on 03/27/2012 for a stay in March 2012

From the moment we laid eyes on the Tea Cottage we were in love!I It was exactly what we had hoped it would be...charming/quaint, peaceful/quiet, romantic, cozy, private, fresh (the decor), and immaculate!! When it comes to accommodation, we are pretty particular travellers. During the 3 weeks that we spent vacationing in the Virgin Islands we stayed in 3 other accommodations and none made us as happy as the Tea Cottage.
The view from within the cottage, and from the deck, was stunning...right out of a travel magazine. For us, it truly was a place to sit and take notice of the simple things in life. We literally spent hours gazing out at the crystal clear water enjoying its three or four beautiful shades of blue, watching the pelicans dive for their food, and the sail boats in the distance, and. In the evening we were just as mesmorized by the amazing star filled sky. Although, to get wet, we both prefer to splash in a swimming pool, the beach on this pretty and private little cove, albeit small, was clean, the sand as soft as butter, and the water shallow and calm (great for swimming and snorkeling).
As a couple, we love to cook together. The well appointed kitchen (including the gas barbecue) made all our meal preparations easy and enjoyable. We rented a car at the beginning of our stay, for one day, (from the marina at Leverick Bay) and drove to Spanish Town, did some sightseeing (a visit to the "Baths"is a must) and bought the bulk of our groceries, wine, and rum. If you are going to drink more than 3 bottles of anything, we suggest going to the Roadtown Wholesale store for great deals (a little tip we got from Bianca, the owner). The little gourmet grocery store at Leverick Bay was very convienent, and well stocked, but just a little more expensive.
Staying at the Tea Cottage gave us the best of both worlds. When we wanted to be alone, we were alone. When we felt the need to be around other people we headed to Leverick Bay Marina (only a 5 minute walk around the bend and up the road). At Leverick there was nightly entertainment, a spa (I indulged in a wonderful massage and facial), a lovely restaurant, a pool, and internet access. We highly recommend you attend the Friday night beach barbecue. For $30 a person, the food is fabulous!
Sadly, and much to our disappointment our 10 day stay came to an end. However, we did take home many wonderful memories. Thanks Bianca. We can't thank you enough for sharing your little piece of heaven. Staying at the Tea cottage was truly like a second honeymoon for us and without a doubt, we will return!!

Great location, great view, great private beach. Small space but adequate. Lots of mosquitos. Washer but no dryer. Tennis court at resort was torn up and really unplayable unles you are a beginner. Resort restaurant is excellent. Good grocery. Would book again.

      Hello Jon
Thank you for your review and so happy you loved our cottage! The position is so perfect and the views just magic! We know and work hard at keeping the cottages in excellent order. I can only assume the mosquitoes were a "general" bother for you and not in the cottage. I constantly have maintenance check the screens and suchlike! It is rare to have bugs bother you like that! I have been coming for 30 years and never noticed any of any consequence!

I am not sure WHICH washer you used but our cottages do not offer any laundry. Perhaps someone from the main house left the door open and you assumed it was for your use!
There are laundry facilities available at the Leverick Bay Resort.

Re the tennis courts, they also belong to the resort and I am sorry to hear they were so inadequate. I have emailed the resort to find out the situation. Like the free WI-FI and resort pool, the tennis courts are available for our guests use. Perhaps not enough guests are making use of the courts........once again, sorry on their behalf! We look forward to seeing you again..........cheers Bianca

      Perfect romantic getaway

Left on 12/23/2011 for a stay in December 2011

My wife and I travel each year for our aniversary. This year we chose Virgin Gorda for our romantic getaway. The Tea Cottage is a hexagonal cottage which sits scant feet from the beach in this small private cove. The living area is about 25 feet above the water and all night the waves laped at the shore singing us to sleep. The view is unspoiled and the few other houses that share the cove are far enough away to assure complete privacy. We enjoyed the Leverick Bay resort but the cottage was so perfect we rarely walked the 1/8 mile except when we needed provisions. We ate most meals in the cottage prepared in the well equiped kitchen. The housekeeping staff replaced our towels and sheets as needed but were discrete and unobtrusive. Do ask the dock master to call the Saba Rock ferry to pick you up for happy hour. A great ride and a beautiful bar and restaurant and its free. The ride that is the drinks are half price 4-6 PM.

      Dear Robert
I was delighted to read your review of our cottages! I am so happy you had a magic anniversary, I know HOW FABULOUS our position is, its a pure tropical delight........in regard the bedspread, its funny you mentioned that and I don't mind at all. I have been actually hunting for new ones to match the cottage (something with blues and whites) since before Christmas but many things are hard to get in the BVI and now it will have to wait until I return later on. I will arrive with new bedspreads in hand! It was already on the shopping list! I agree - our lovely big King size beds need new ones!

      Incredible vacation stay

Left on 11/21/2011 for a stay in November 2011

Just returned from a fabulous stay at Coffee Cottage. The little cottage fulfilled every dream I ever had. On a picturesque private little bay, with beautiful lapping water, serene views from my own little deck, lovely fresh breezes blowing, this is a tropical paradise anyone would love. Bianca, the owner, bent over backwards to make my stay perfect. Leverick Bay Resort manages the cottage for her, providing daily maid service and any other needs. They too were great, from Nick and Monica at the reception desk, to Dionne, the maid, and Panel the handy man. Anything I asked for, they were there in a snap. One day I had a small problem with a rental sailboat. Monica jumped into action, and everything was dandy within 20 minutes. She was my advocate and helped me tremendously. Speaking of sailboats, if you ever wanted a place to learn how to sail, this is it. The North Sound has just the right amount of wind, and the water is calm enough for a beginner. You can rent a little hobie cat right at the Leverick Bay marina (I did!) and they will let you keep it right there with you at Coffee. I was a very, I mean a very beginner sailor at the beginning of my stay. I sailed each and every day I was there, and now can say I feel fairly confident. An absolutely perfect place to practice beginning sailing skills.
If you want to rent a car, Monica will call up Speedy's, and they will bring the car right to you within 30 minutes. it's worth it to rent a car a day or two to explore this beautiful island. The view as you go up over the hill going down into the valley and see Savannah Bay!!! Wow, the stuff of postcard legend. The roads are a bit scary though, for their steepness and curves. Be careful, and I wouldn't drive at night if it could be helped. (Watch out for the goats and chickens, too!)
Leverick Bay Resort, which has a nice swimming pool, marina, gift shop, dive shop, laundry, wifi, restaurant, and great spa, is all available for you. It is about a 10 minute walk up and down a couple fairly steep hills though. Not for anyone disabled, that's for sure. Coffee's bay is the next bay around the corner from the resort, and your own little bay is very quiet and private. ,There are a few other rentals on the bayThe beach is not large, but plenty big for sitting out on. Bianca also provides a nice little relaxing area on this beach, with palapa, table and chairs and hammock. Also quite good snorkeling with a little swim out. The water is very lovely, warm and lapping, no big waves. Perfect for little ones. Coffee cottage itself provides amply for your needs. Not large, nor fancy, but very accommodating. I plan on going back. Everyone on Virgin Gorda so friendly and helpful. A beautiful place to visit. And I definitely will return! Oh, bring a cooler with as much as your own food as you can. The kitchen is very complete, and food on the island is extremely expensive! (Both restaurant and grocery). I did, and I am so glad I did!

We loved Leverick Bay and The Tea House

Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We spent six nights in March in the Tea House near Leverick Bay and it was wonderful. The price was great and view and location was ideal. Close enough (easily walkable) to Leverick Bay Resort so we could go to the beach bar and evening events but still very private and completely relaxing. Kitchen had everything we needed, the king bed was comfortable and we loved sitting on the deck in the morning and evening with coffee and drinks and watching the boats. It's right on the water and located in a nice little bay. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Bianca and she couldn't have been nicer. With all kinds of information about where to shop for food and what beaches to explore. Nice little palapa at the beach and even a raft to float on. It couldn't have been easier for us, since we went diving each day with Dive BVI right at the dock at Leverick Bay. The dive staff were wonderful, We just loved Nick, Chris, Nat and Jude. So helpful and a lot of fun. Letica at Leverick Bay, helped us get groceries upon arrival and motored us to our cottage. Melissa and Letica were so sweet and helpful with all our questions and arranging our car rental and our ferry schedule. Heads up when traveling. Try to arrive and depart on the days that the Direct ferry runs; if you fly to St. Thomas. Otherwise you spend a good bit of time in transit. We just loved the tea house and can't wait to come back. It was so relaxing and just what we needed. The place is just darling, very clean and cozy.

Thanks to all for a wonderful vacation.

      Great private location

Left on 03/27/2011 for a stay in December 2010

I wanted to drop you a line. Kelly and I absolutely loved our 10 days at Coffee Cottage over Christmas & New Years just past. Donna and everyone at Leveric Bay were pleasant and helpful. We tend to mind our own business and blend in where ever we go and this combination of a private cottage and resort 5 minutes away was perfect.

We had a great relaxing stay at the cottage, used the BBQ and had a couple of dinners there. We were all over Virgin Gorda and dinned The Mine Shaft, Chez Bamboo, Fishers Cove, Top of the Baths, The Cave as well as The Restauant at Leverick Bay. We also went to Saba Rock, The Bitter End and many assorted bars.
The grocery store at Leverick Bay with bakery and wine selection was our best friend. You really wouldn't need anything else. I went scuba diving while Kelly had a spa afternoon and we met at Jumbies for pizza and drinks.

      Thanks again

      Brilliant location

Left on 03/21/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Just returned today - and wish I was back there!
The cottage is just perfect for two - the kitchen is very well stocked - and a wonderful new gas BBQ on the patio.

The patio is a perfect place to just sit and watch the world go by - with 'Percy' the pelican and 'Sammy' the starling both regular visitors.

The bay has private anchorage and so you don't get any 'unwanted' visitors in their power boats and mega yachts and it's quite safe to swim and snorkel. The beach is shared with about six other properties (who face onto it - including Bianca's - the owners own place) but you rarely see them but you are lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves.

It's only a 5-10 minute stroll from the beach bar at Leverick Bay (plus restaurant, laundromat, shop and all associated facilities of Leverick Bay)...which whilst a self contained place isn't too big or overwhelming for the area...Monica, Letica and Donna at reception are more than happy to help organise things or give advice. L&S; car rentals run a good service and it's worthwhile having a car to see all the sights - although we 'chickened out' of driving after dark because of some of the 'interesting' road conditions - so we were more limited on dining options. However, one of those options was Saba Rock , which offers a free ferry service on request, from the end of the quay at Leverick Bay.

For those who care about these things - it's more environmentally friendly than many, with solar power for the hot water, and a preference for the ceiling fans than air con (which we never needed) ...as others have mentioned, there's a good range of books in the place (I didn't really need my Kindle(!) but it was really helpful that the cottage had two really good guide books to hand...plus (as we couldn't find ours before we left) it was quite handy that there was a snorkel in the place and what can best be described as a floating hammock.

Overall lovely...advice to Brits however - take your tea bags with you (as they are as rare as hens teeth on the Bvi's!)

      The most heavenly vacation ever!

Left on 02/04/2011 for a stay in January 2011

The Coffee House is right on the beach of a lovely cove on the North Sound at Virgin Gorda with the best breezes, a beautiful dark sky full of stars. The deck view shows you the beautiful sailboats and yachts during the day and the North Star at night. Snorkeling in Little Leverick Bay was a blast. We had an air conditioner but never considered turning it on. So many nice amenities that made it feel like home. Don't bring a book - there are plenty. The kitchen is stocked with with any utensil you'd need. Even check the refrigerator before you go to the grocery store - you can cross condiments and more off your list. The cleaning service was excellent. You're just around the corner from Leverick Bay Resort with a restaurant, grill and beach bar (where you can meet all the wonderful people that sail during the day and come to shore in the evening for a shower and dinner.)

Room with a View...A very nice View!

Left on 11/25/2010 for a stay in April 2010

I was looking for something a little unique...no "resort-style living;" something a bit off the beaten path, quite comfortable, offering a solo traveler peace and quiet, yet close enough to activities that I could kick-up my heels when the urge hit.

I found Tea Cottage on Tripadvisor; from the beginning it was exactly what I was looking for. A separate cottage-on-stilts, with private deck overlooking the Carribbean (literally a stone's "drop" away), the ability to prepare my own meals, but with a location next to a partnering-resort when I wanted a prepared meal fit to my likes (and yours?).

Clean, neat, daily maid service, open living area with an absolute great view. Note: Tea Cottage is a great place to "get away" but services nearby provide for boating to nearby islands for the day, or a host of other adventures to your liking.

Bianca fortunately was visting when I was there - she has a house nearby - and was as friendly and welcoming in person as she was online when making my preparations to visit Virgin Gorda.

Whether your first time to the islands or the 10th time, I highly recommend this idyllic spot for your visit.

Perfect place to unplug and recharge!

Left on 05/30/2010 for a stay in May 2010

The charming Coffee House was the perfect choice for us: a simple, private place to relax in for two heavenly weeks. We had everything we needed and it was clean. Daily housekeeping and close proximity to Leverick Bay Resort and free water taxis and ferry service made it feel like hotel stay. Having the kitchenette and the ability to make our own meals made it feel like home. The lovely owner of the property generously outfitted our deck with a brand new deluxe grill right before our arrival and we enjoyed the breezy deck and the grill daily.

We were situated somewhat near the neighboring Tea Cottage, but didn't hear or really see the occupants at all.

The sweet yet unpretentious accommodations were the right place for us to reconnect and recharge. We would gladly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a sense of home away from home.

      Wonderfully Romantic and Peacful

Left on 11/20/2009 for a stay in August 2009

My husband amd I stayed at the Coffee House The end of July to frist part of August 2009. We loved everything about it.

The acccomodations where very nice. We like cooking many of our meals and were very pleased to find simple supplies such as swan wrap, some spices, and all cooking equipment and serving dishes.

At the time we were there it was very quiet, we essentially had the beach to ourselves. The water was warm and good to snorkel.

We are scuba diver and went diving daily. We found the atio perfect to rinse and dry our gear.

I can't think of a thing I would have done to improve our stay.

      It was beautiful.

      A Perfect Escape...

Left on 11/17/2009 for a stay in September 2009

After a conference in New York my partner and I wanted a quiet island break so we headed
south for unspoiled Virgin Gorda. Leverick Bay is the best end of the island with gorgeous
views and cool sea breezes. We stayed in Tea Cottage and it was just perfect for the two of
us. The cottages are a roundish shape so offer incredible views and sitting privately on the
large deck above the beach was our favourite. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had
everything we needed including a full kitchen. It's not luxurious 5 star, but simple and
homely. We loved the privacy of this beach and owners coconut grove next door. Good
snorkeling on your door step too! What added to the experience was that the resort with
shops, restaurants, entertainment and boating was only a 5 minute walk over the hill. We had
the best of both worlds! A perfect stay!

      Beachfront Bliss

Left on 07/31/2009 for a stay in July 2009

My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our anniversary that
was on the beach, private, and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. And we
absolutely did not want to stay at some fancy, dressy, posh resort. We took
a chance with Coffee and Tea - it looked rustic in the photos - but we
arrived to find it had just been renovated (OK, it was _almost_ done) and it
was perfect! Literally right on the beach, which is in a quiet mixed
residential/rental neighborhood and was practically deserted everyday. We
felt like it was our own private beach. The snorkeling was amazing. We saw
conch and starfish and tons of fish right in front of the villa!

The villa is not huge, but is was perfect for the two of us. It's not
luxuriously appointed, but it is well stocked and we did not miss a thing.
The new decorations, curtains and paint give the place a light, tropical
"plantation house" feel. We did not need the recently installed air
conditioning while we were there but it would probably be useful in August
or September. About the only thing that some people might want is a pool,
but there's one that can be used at Leverick Bay Resort (a 5 minute walk),
and hey, when you've got the Caribbean sea right outside your door, who
      needs a pool?

For privacy, intimacy, a beachfront location, and reasonable price, this place
gets two thumbs up. We will definitely return!
