This apartment is a block away from Av La Mar, where there are very good restaurants, and only three blocks away from the ocean. A few blocks away there is Miguel Dasso a commercial area with restaurants, bookstores, stores like Max Mara, Ermenegildo Zegna, Lacoste, Etro, etc. 5 minutes walking distance is Ovalo Gutierrez, with movie theaters, restaurants like Chilis, Starbucks, Fridays and bookstores.

  This condo was strategically located, only blocks from the beach, nice parks, and some of the best restaurants in the city. In addition, at $1000 dollars per week this apartment was a good value and had a nice layout for two couples and a child in three seperate bedrooms. That being said, there are several areas where things could be improved including the level of personal attention (we were greeted by the cleaning lady instead of the person in charge of the apartment at check in), a fresh coat of paint, some basic supplies (including toilet paper a more than one towel per person) and a list of numbers for taxis with directions on how to get to the nearest supermarket for short-term renters. The owners need to decide the type of renter they want to cater to and put in a bit more effort for folks that are are only visiting Lima for 1-2 weeks. More shelves in the bathroom and shower for shampoo and toiletries would also be a nice addition. The internet worked fine and was a decent speed. They should also make paying for the apartment easier by setting up a PayPal account to avoid bank fees from both ends for wire transfers. Street noise was acceptable but several neighbors on the ground floor have small dogs that bark a lot. Overall I would qualify the apartment as nice but not luxury.
