The cottage is ideally situated for visiting the tri-border area either to the Netherlands and the city of Maastricht (45 min) or to Germany and the city of Aachen (40 min).

In winter, enjoy the warm atmosphere of soaring flames back from walking in this beautiful region.

In summer, you can enjoy the tranquility of this unique place, its fenced garden and his terrace, his petanque ground, his trampoline ... and a unique view over the countryside of Limburg.

  Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location

  Stayed at this cottage for two weeks in July 2011 with my wife and two young children. Flew into Brussels airport and drove to limbourg. This drive takes approx. 1hr. 15 mins and is mainly on motorway. We chose this location as we had decided that we would like to go to Europe this year and we came across this rental on the internet.This cottage appears to be available for rent since December 2010 and is a renovated cottage.
  
  We arrived in Limbourg, which is a reasonably small town but has a supermarket, bakeries etc. We had checked the map on the cottage website and also any other available maps of the location and were able to get within about 1km of the cottage but there was no way that we would have been able to find the cottage by ourselves. We contacted the owner anne-Cathreine who contacted her sister who in turn met us and brought us to the cottage. This as I said is a reasonably new rental but there needs to be better directions given to the holiday cottage in the future. (when we arrived at the cottage and saved the location in our sat.nav. it gave the location as 'Halloux').
  
  We had seen the photos on the website and it is fair to say that they are truly stunning. I did not expect the cottage to look exactly as in the photos but was pleasently surprised when it looks as beautiful in the flesh as in the photos. The cottage is located about 8min drive outside of Limbourg and is situated on a quiet country lane. The cottage is located in a courtyard setting and is beside another cottage which is owned and occupied by a family member.
  
  The cottage was beautiful both inside and out and there was a trampoline in the back garden which the children loved.There are three bedrooms and two toilet/bathrooms. The main bedroom has a bath and a shower ensuite. The kitchen was well equiped but some basic utensils could have been provided (i.e better cooking utensils, iron and board etc). There is no washing machine/dryer at the cottage but we just went to a launderette and did our washing. We had always communicated prior to arrival via e-mail and when we were staying at the cottage that is how we communicated with anne-Catherine, we actually only met her in person on the last day of our stay. There is good wi-fi in the cottage.
  
  The location is great for visiting places and we went to Germany, Holland and Lumembourg while staying here. I would recommend 'Phantasia land' in Germany for anyone with children as this was a great theme park and only about 1hr 15mins from the cottage.
  
  French is spoken in this part of Belgium and a lot of people would have some English also. Dont expect to go to restaurants etc and have menus in English. We travelled a lot and I have to say that this cottage was the ideal location to facilitate this. The weather was not great when we were away but that did not take away from our enjoyment of the holiday. On the days when the sun shone the location and cottage were truly beautiful.
