Ocean and jungle view house - sleeps 10 people (maximum).

Caretaker lives at the property, next to the gated entrance, close enough to assist with any issues, though removed enough that you have your own experience.

Views of the sea from almost every point on the property, this house is special for being surrounded by lush jungle, and overlooking the jungle valley between our hilltop location and Caribbean. A 3-minute drive puts you at the main road, and the first beach entrance (literally, drive to the main road and cross the main road, and the sea is right there).

This house is owned by a foreigner, though all... construction, maintenance, legal services, accounting are handled either by Costa Ricans, or longterm residents of the area. All taxes are paid in Costa Rica for this property, and we are proud of our successful efforts to respect the area itself more than the business.

Guests are requested to continue this effort, and respect the neighbors, the locals, and to remember that there is a world here in the Caribbean that does not stop and start when people visit.

Punta Uva, Costa Rica, is located about 20 minutes to the south of Puerto Viejo. The entire area is built up within walking distance to the Caribbean Sea, with a variety of beaches strung along the coast. Each beach has its own flavor, some more sandy, some with reefs; some with restaurants , some private. For surfers, there are a variety of beaches to choose from depending on the type of surf you seek. For families, there are a variety of beaches safe for small children to play in the smaller waves.
Travel to Punta Uva can be done in a rental car, by bus, and there are a number of Costa Rican van companies with prices ranging between $60 to $150 per person. The journey by vehicle with wheels is about 3 1/2 hours, taking the traveler out of San Jose (it is not easy without clear directions, as few streets are marked in the city), through a rain forest mountain, and then through a series of towns and areas in the jungle and in more developed areas.

More details regarding are rates at our website. A larger number of people has a higher price. For this 6 bed, 3 bedroom house, the price range is $100 to $155 per night. A week rental (7 nights) includes a free night (= the cost of 6 nights). This is true for all weekly rentals.
