La Maison Grande is a spacious home in the South West Aude region in the village of Cournanel.
This is situated 20 mins from Carcassonne airport and 5 mins from the lovely town of Limoux
The town has a colourful cultural scene. Music, theatre and dance take centre-stage in the town’s lively year round events. Limoux also serves as a wonderful starting point for those wishing to take in more of the surrounding Cathar country.

There is a wonderful pool were you can spend all day in the sunshine while the children play . Situated be the River Aude it is an idyllic spot, sun-loungers, showers and snacks available. Take a picnic and make the most of it.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The Region is a fab place to come with children, loads to do and accommodation is great. It is not to far from the airport and in a great location to chill and relax or to go on an adventure. There is loads of outside space for the children to play and now there is a pool! Will be booking for next year. Can't wait...

I stayed in the property and it's jeets in September 2012 having never visited the region before. The main house itself is very spacious with a lovely dining space, a well equipped kitchen and a very cosy living area. The two smaller apartments are decorated in some beautiful antiques - a mixture of local and british styles which made for a very unique setting. The owners clearly have an eclectic but great taste! The bedrooms were al well furnished with suitable bedding and lots of extra available. The bathrooms and kitchen areas were found to be clean and well maintained throughout.
The garden is a huge charm of the property, it catches the sun in the afternoon and we very much enjoyed use of the sun loungers and barbeque facilities.
The house has parking enough for two or three cars, so great for groups or multi-family holidays and lots of space for younger children to play with a little paddock area with a swing and climbing frame.
The hosting was very kind and very accomodating, we really enjoyed our visit to the region and having stayed here once would be very keen to do the same trip all over again, staying in the property and perhaps bringing friends to make use of all the lovely space.

We had an amazing stay at this very lovingly decorated and dressed home. The beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities that anyone could need for a thoroughly relaxing holiday. The surrounding areas are worth exploring on foot and by car. The local shops sell fresh produce and breads that make cooking for a family a pleasure.

We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Grande.
It was very clean and well furnished .
To the extent that on a rainy day the children stayed in and watched a couple of dvds from the collection there on the 40in TV.
A very well equipped large home with lots of garden space.Loved the hammock.
