What wonderful service. David made us feel welcome and we felt like it was our home. The cottage is so spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped.. We loved the location. It was so close to all the major attractions. The best part was coming home at the end of the day and relaxing in the peaceful country surrounding.no noise and only nature. The worst part is that we did not stay long enough to fully enjoy it all. But that is an excuse for definitely coming back in the future. Thank you for a great time!

The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped! We lived the location, and enjoyed all of the local heritage sites! Great acces to grab a train to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Great pot of soup and cream waiting for us! I would highly recommend this location and look forward to returning ourselves!

booked this cottage for a family holiday. great location very easy comute to either glasgow or edinburgh as are 5 mins from the train station. cottage in a very nice wee town my 2 year old son had a great time feeding all the swans down by the play park and also loved gettin up and going out to see the horse in the field behind the cottage!!!
when we arrived David met us at the front, showed us round, explained where everything was and told us that his wife had brought a pan of homemade soup (which was very much enjoyed by us all) and that there was a welcome pack of fresh milk teas and coffee too.
the cottage itself was great perfect for what we needed,
very good size rooms very comfortable and child friendly would recommend to anyone.
we definately would return think will do a little more sight seeing and a little less shopping though!!! -

We stayed in Linlithgow Cottages (Stuart Cottage) for 6 nights in Feb 2011. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped for our short holiday stay. Acces to Edinburgh even during morning rush hour was easy and predictable.
Having access to own car is recommended. All amenities are available in Linlithgow town centre, which is a short drive away. Conservatory restaurant in Bonnyside hotel (50 yards away) is pretty good.
David & Helen are very caring and excellent hosts.

This was probably the best self-catering unity we have stayed in. Modern, but with character. We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing stay in the quiet countryside surroundings of the cottage, just about a mile from Linlithgow. A good base for exploring Edinburgh and the Lothians. My daughter was inspired to bake cakes twice in 4 days, and the kitchen was equipped with all that anyone could need. Clean, comfortable and well presented, and nice to be met by the welcoming owner. We hope to come again another time.

The boorkin was easy. There was a direct answer. As we are German, it was very easy to understand Mr. Williamson. We phoned from the airport, he tells us the way and waited for us.
He shows us everything and his wife had cooked a soup for us. It was delicious. So we felt ourselves very well the hole time. -

This is the second time we've stayed in the cottages, first in the 2 bed and this time in the 3 bed. Excellent standard of accomodation, friendly service, clean well maintained properties. we really enjoy staying here, close to Edinburgh, knowing the standard of accomodation and the service provided we had no worries about our stay.
