Dear Laura and Robert:
You have done a lovely job creating such a warm and comfortable temporary home for your travelling guests, and have added the perfect setting to engage each of us who visit in the most spectacular mountain views.
My son, who has been at art school in San Francisco, was able to join me on this mini vacation. The location of the cabin was just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the many hiking trails along the parkway that we also enjoyed.
We take home with us an appreciation for this beautiful mountain area, and much inspiration. We have truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your charming cabin. -

All of the windows at Table Rock cabin have such a beautiful view. We rose each morning just before dawn to watch the sunrise and witnessed a different scene each day. The cabin is incredibly cozy and was a welcome home base for our daily hikes.
The cabin is clean, the master bed is very comfy and the towels are soft. We have rebooked this cabin for a week in august.

The views from this cabin were absolutely amazing. The sunrises were glorious and made getting up early worthwhile. The cabin is well furnished and the owners are incredibly easy to work with. Restaurants, grocery stores, etc. were just a short drive away.

Pomfret CTOctober is Beautiful in Blue Ridge Mountains
Left on 10/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Actually, any day of the year would be lovely in this location on Table Rock. The views are beautiful and the accommodations are very high-end. We used the upper loft room and were very cozy while my sister and her husband slept downstairs. There was adequate privacy for all. We found everything we needed for our comfort from the crisp sheets to the soft towels and warm quilts. I especially liked the scented soaps. The décor is a simple country style, suitable for a cabin but very pretty. One night we even slept on the screened porch wrapped in furry blankets and awoke to a gorgeous sunrise!
While we were there we visited several of the local attractions and towns for shopping. We are no longer seroius hikers, but there were many trails nearby and we took a trip on the Blue Ridge Highway to enjoy even more of the scenery. We can home relaxed and revived after our visit. Table Rock Cabin is a delight and we would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and family.

Cary, NCTable Rock Cabin - A Magic World all its Own
Left on 09/23/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My wife and I are a 76 yo retired couple with years of travel experience.
When considering a rental the first impression is of the "Owners" and the Clarkson's set the tone for an excellent experience with the initial communications and carried through to an hour after we returned home and received a call telling us we had left a couple of items and they would be mailed the next day. Very interested in us and our vacation comfort.
Table Rock Cabin - Very clean, totally functional, very well equipped and for folks like us very comfortable for sitting, enjoying the spectacular views, reading. Newly installed Track Lighting and the leather sofa's with soft warm blankets were perfect. Table Rock Cabin met and exceeded every expectation and the static pictures do not do the view justice. The ever changing clouds, shadows, valley fog and far distant night lights gave one the feeling of living in a very moving and changing scenic panorama. Multiple sitting viewing spaces were wonderful.
Linens - This review would not be complete without commenting on the most incredible linens. The towels, wash clothes etc were the softest luxury you can imagine. The sheets were so soft they felt like satin. The Duvet and Pillows made sleeping perfect.
To Do - The location offers many wonderful adventures for any one who can get out and drive - Grand Father Mountain is very senior friendly, as are the easy trails around Linville Gorge. Wonderful towns of Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Boone made day excursions easy. Grocery stores etc were very good but 15 miles away. You must have a car.
Contact the Clarkson's and start planning your next adventure Memory. You will be happy you did.

St.Louis MOLovely Stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Left on 09/15/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The cabin is charming, has an amazing view, was very comfortable, and was spotlessly clean.
I took my daughter and we were joined by two of her ex- college roommates at the beginning and end of our week. Even though "the girls" are thirty- something, they loved being all together up in the sleeping loft. There was a lot of laughing going on.
We all hiked Linville Falls, Upper and Lower Falls, and part of Grandfather Mtn near the "singing " bridge at the top of the mountain.
Midweek,we visited friends in Blowing Rock and Linville Ridge, and shopped Grandfather Village, and explored the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is plenty to do in the beautiful mountains.
We were always back at the cabin before dinner to enjoy the view from the screened porch.
It was a delightful vacation. I would definitely recommend it to everyone .
Thank you Laura & Robert.

Cannot say enough about our week at Table Rock Cabin. It was a great experience in a great part of the country. The cabin has an old time "feel" while at the same time having modern amenities. The screen porch was unbelievable as was the view from the dining room. Only minutes from great hiking trails and restaurants. Looking forward to the next stay!

We've stayed in Table Rock Cabin for the past two years and have found it to be perfect both as a base for exploring the mountains of NC as well as for relaxing in delightful comfort. The cabin has numerous nooks for reading, enjoying the beautiful views of the mountains, listening to a chorus of songbirds, and partaking of the fresh mountain air. The cabin is appointed with every possible necessity and luxury one could want to make this a paradise!

What a fabulous cabin in the moutains. We've stayed at many cabins over the years and have never seen one with a view as great as this one. The fall colors were unbelievable and you could see forever from the back deck. This cabin had all the comforts of home and the peace and quiet that make for a perfect vacation. The location was perfect, with paved access to the cabin and a level driveway that was easy to get in and out of. If you followed the cabin road further out there were several fantastic hiking trails at Table Rock and Hawksbill Mountain. For those who love waterfalls, Upper Creek Falls was just up the road in the other direction and was a memorable hiking experience and was the perfect backdrop for a picnic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Table Rock Cabin and hope to return in the future.

This is the fourth time we have rented TRC. Our two weeks were blessed with cool air and just enough rain to add ambiance and a sense of being int he mountains. We recommend TRC for an authentic highland experience...not too sophisticated or too primitive...just right.

Don't really know where to start. The authentic log home was prefect for us. The view was even better than the photos on the web site. Our stay was much too short, however we found the atmosphere so perfect we came away more relaxed than if we had stayed a month at other locations. We would strongly recommend this home to anyone that truly wants a way to get away from the world. Am not sure what my wife wrote in the guest book (she is much better at this than I am)but am sure it was a glowing report. We definitely will return as often as possible

We spent 4 nights between Christmas and New Years last year - Our family of 4 was very comfortable and enjoyed the cabin immensely. The layout is great, the view is fantastic and the owners are a joy to work with. Laura was very accommodating with our time schedule and we appreciated her hospitality a bunch. We would absolutely stay there again.

Fantastic view, fantastic home, fantastic location, fantastic time. The only down side would be the driveway if you are on motorcycles, as we were. It is level and easy enough to get in and out, but the material it is made from is quarter to half dollar loose round rocks. Very difficult, on touring motorcycles, to turn around on. We still plan on returning on bikes though.

We have stayed several times at TRC. It has undoubtably the most impressive view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin itself is wonderfully appointed with everything one could want to make the stay comfortable. It is the perfect place to forget stress and just let yourself be a part of nature. Waking up at TRC is the ultimate experience.

We've stayed at this house twice. Once with out entire family and the last time with just me and my son. We have stayed in a number of houses in the High Country, but none with a view as great as this. I could spend hours on the screened porch just listening to the wind in the trees. The interior is very old timey with all the modern conveniences. The free internet is an added bonus. I can think of no time during the year that this house would not be the house at which to spend a week away from the hustle & bustle of daily life. I can't recommend it highly enough!
