Description

River Cabin is located in the community of Linville Land Harbor. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The two main floor bedrooms each have a queen bed and there is a large loft with two twin beds plus an additional queen bed. The living room has a cozy cabin feel with an antique wood burning fireplace, 43' flat screen television, and dvd player. There are also flat screen televisions in the master bedroom and the loft. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and cooking/eating utensils. Relax and take in the fresh mountain air on one of two decks. Sit on the back deck and observe nature with a view of the woods. Birds, hummingbirds, squirrels, chipmunks, foxes, and rabbits are some of our most common visitors. From the back yard, take a short trail through the woods to the river. There is a fire pit in the side yard with six folding chairs located in the basement. It is the last house on a dead end road which leads to the lake. Peaceful and private. Take a short walk through the side yard to the river where there is a bridge leading to a beautiful area on the lake with picnic tables, grills, tree platform lookouts, and a swinging bench. There are multiple walking trails in Land Harbor along the lake and rivers.

With an elevation of 3600 feet, the weather is perfect year-round. Summers are crisp and cool, and the winters are mild compared to other areas of the country.

Linville Land Harbor offers a wide variety of amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Amenities include: 18 hole golf course, Junior Olympic sized swimming pool, recreation center with year-round activities for all ages, tennis courts, hiking trails, lake, rivers, shuffleboard, covered pavilion with grills, beach on the lake, tent platforms and tree stands on the lake, playground, and more. You can feel safe while staying at Land Harbor with its own North Carolina Certified law enforcement agency which serves the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Response from the owner I apologize that the fishing poles were not there. I was not made aware that they had gone missing. I hate that the kids were disappointed! I added the information regarding Land Harbor's fishing rules and permits to our email. This is our first year renting the cabin and I appreciate your input so that we can make everyone's experience enjoyable. Thank you for your review!
