Description from the manager
Cottage Profile The Amazing Grace cottage is an 1800 square foot property located on a quiet, dead-end road that leads to a sheltered area on Myles Bay, which is part of Lake Huron. There is a covered front entranceway, and trees surround two of the sides of the cottage. Inside is very spacious with large open sitting and eating areas. The natural stone flooring continues throughout the main level of the cottage. The gorgeous south-facing waterfront can be seen from the kitchen and dining area through windows that run nearly the length of the wall and include pull down coverings. The kitchen includes lots of counter space and white kitchen ap...Read more

Elmira, OntarioBest Vacation Ever!!
Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I have to say that for our first family vacation ever, we did it up in style. The cottage, Amazing Grace, that we rented definitely lived up to its name, Amazing. The cottage was immaculate and impeccable and the location was so scenic and serene. For the first time in about 10 years my husband actually relaxed!! He was like a completely different person. As for the owners, it was "amazing" finding out that they were fellow believers. I truly believe that God led us to this location.
If we can afford it, we want to definitely go back next year!! -

Had a wonderful time at this cottage (have stayed here several times).. Great spot to relax and enjoy the cottage and water front (Kayaks are great fun!).
Lovely setting and really comfortable home feel.
Lots of great places to explore nearby on the Bruce peninsula as well. -

WindsorFantastic Family Vacation
Left on 10/23/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This was an absolutely beautiful cottage. The photos are completely accurate. Immaculate and spacious with comfortable beds. Beautiful view, wonderful sandy beach just a few moments away. We travelled with our one year old and three year old. The only caution would be that the beautiful stone floors can be just a little tricky for toddlers, and there is a very steep staircase. However, the cottage was a wonderful, beautiful, amazing experience and we would highly recommend it to a friend.

HarrowLong over due
Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2010
Neither us or our friends had been on a vacation for a long time. It is ironic that we would choose a place like this because we both have beautiful homes on the water just as this one was. Our week was wonderful. Just goes to show you home away from home can be extra special. Especially when there are such wonderful hosts as you. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

OakvilleAmazing Grace in need of final exterior updates
Left on 09/07/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This cottage has a high level of interior amenities, with a full kitchen with
bar, dining table and gas fireplace, as well as all utensils. There is a large
fridge with freezer. The beds in the three upstairs bedrooms are good, the
jacuzzi however is in need of a good clean. As we always do we leave it
running first before we use it ourselves, but there was just to much dirt
coming into the water.
The pedal boat, canoe and kayak allow for good fun in the easy access bay
on lake huron. The outdoors around the cottage is of good quality, and you
can easily attach the hammock to the hooks on the trees. The firepit allows
for hours of lakeside entertainment.
There is a decent cornerstore on the intersection in Ferndale and a large
grocery store in Lion's Head. If your not packed to the top, stop at the IGA
store in Wiarton on your way up, to stock up on water and other non
perishables, the store is open 24 hours.
The exterior needs some finishing as siding is missing and the roof gutters
as well. Furthermore, the area near the main entrance stays moist long
after any rain, use it only the first time to enter and then use the back door
near the kitchen.
