Cottage Profile Starlit Cove is a charming and delightfully comfortable 1900 sq ft cottage with distinctive ecologically-friendly designer craftsmanship throughout. A quiet, private setting with enchanting atmosphere, both inspring and cheerful. Constructed mostly with local and sustainable green materials, rooms are enriched with pine ceilings and cedar trim, accented with flagstone and slate with bamboo flooring. The main living space is comprised of living room, kitchen and dining area with large picture windows. All look out toward the lake past the two-tiered deck. Also on the main floor is a four-piece bathroom, one bedroom with queen b...ed and a bonus kitchenette/games room for the teenagers, complete with futon, counter and sink, small oven and a foosball game. There is high-speed internet for those who need their computer. The kitchen has been finished with black built-in stove, fridge and microwave. Two lovely design features are the hutch and the countertop crafted of local flagstone. It includes a country-kitchen dining suite for 8 where you can enjoy views over the patio to the boardwalk and water. A pellett stove is available for any cooler evenings. On the second level, you will find three more cheerfully decorated bedrooms. One is the master bedroom with a queen bed and a sofabed. One other bedroom also has a queen bed and the third has two singles. A TV and DVD player are located in this twin-bedded room. There is a dormered three-piece bathroom with walk-in cedar shower too. This level also has a small outside deck with table and chairs for two. The main level deck features a 500 sq ft rough-cut cedar patio bar complete with sink and bar fridge, a propane BBQ, seating for 8+ and two lovely water features as you step out the door. Sand was brought in to soften the way to the waterfront (confined to one area) and a boardwalk was built to access the water and to meandre along through the natural environment that serves as home to many species of birds, rabbits, chipmunks and herons. As the skies become starlit, sit quietly around the patio and you may see flying squirrels hunting for sumflower seeds or the glow of flickering fireflies. Hear the songs of the frogs as the fire crackles in the chiminea. Though you can access the water from in front of the cottage, for those looking for a gradual entry sand beach, there is a small but nice public one located within just a few minute's walk (.5 km). The cottage comes with a kayak for exploring the shoreline inlets. Bradley Harbour is located on Lake Huron with the closest communities being Lion's Head to the south and Tobermory to the north . Great hiking on the Bruce Trail can be accessed at either, or at Bruce Peninsula National Park, only 25 kilometres north.

Cottage was spotless, updated, and overall very lovely. I am very picky about cleanliness and I was not disappointed. Past concerns appear to have been remedied. Great spot for our kids to catch frogs and enjoy nature. Not so great for our 13-month old, but she is a busy girl. We kept very busy visiting local beaches and enjoying the national park. We fell in love with the area. A great vacation for those who love nature.

Starlit Cove Cottage is a wonderful little spot that is quite private. It has lovely seating areas between the cottage and the lake. You can choose sun or shade dock, deck or sand. There are several very comfy reclining chairs. It is very quiet and well protected from neighbouring cottages. You can't see your neighbours cottages and you can only see the docks.
The stars and moon were wonderful.
We enjoyed the three separate sleeping areas as we had our adult sons and family with us. The beds were comfortable. There was one washroom on each floor. One with a shower and one with a bathtub. This worked well for our families.
The kitchen was well equipped and had a larger table to seat eight. We would have liked to have similar seating outdoors but the patio table only seated 4.
There is no swimming from the cottage as the lake levels are too low. There is however a very nice little community beach within a 5 minute walk. The water was very clean and the sand was abundant.
Unfortunately the cleaning service had not done a good job in preparing the cottage for us so that was a disappointment. It took a little of the shine off our initial impression of the cottage. The owners know of this problem and we assume they will rectify this situation.
We would definitely like to rent this cottage again. Read more

Although the cottage was in good shape overall we found that the deck area was much older than what appeared in the photos. We also found it very odd to have such a small outdoor table and no chairs to sit at the table other than the loungers. Most of all though we were disappointed in how dirty the place was. On the surface it appeared clean but there were sticky areas on the tables, counters and floors as well as massive amounts of dirt under all of the furniture and floor corners. The screens also do not appear to fit the windows properly and the cottage was filled with bugs.

We rented this cottage for a family get together, we were 6 adults, 1 child, and 1 baby. The cottage is beautiful and was very clean when we arrived.
At first we thought the fridge was broken. We called to request it to be repaired, and the owners offered immediate action to fix it. Fortunately, it kicked on and we didn't have any further problems.
The kayaks were great to have for our use. The cottage is located very close to many entrances to the Bruce trail for day trips. Also, a drive to Tobermory is only about 30 minutes by car, which was nice for a day trip.
It is a very spacious cottage, and has lots of wonderful features including a beautiful balcony and deck. Occasionally we saw/spoke to the neighbours at the end of the docks, but overall the cottage is extremely private.
The water at the end of the dock was very shallow, so the best swimming is at the shared beach, which is about a 10 minute walk away. However, it was nice to be able to launch the kayaks from your "backyard". The sand in the back was great to allow the kiddo to play, without having to spend the entire day at the beach.
My only suggestions are: 1. The lower level bathroom could use an update. Its getting a little old and has been well used. 2. The table on the deck was not large enough for our party size to eat outside. It would be nice if a larger table and more outdoor seating was provided. We had to eat inside every meal. (We were the max party size allowed, but this it was should be accommodated for). 3. Some cottages had little golf carts to use to get to the beach. This would have been handy for carrying all the stuff over.
Another note: laundry onsite was a nice feature, however, I'm not sure people knew the lint trap was at the back of the dryer, it didn't appear to have been emptied in a long time! A serious fire hazard. I would hate for this place to burn down.
Overall, we had a great time, and I would definitely rent this cottage again and visit this area again.
