We had a great stay and the cottage was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The teens loved the loft. We made use of the fire pit and canoe. All round great experience.

The surroundings were absolutely stunning. We loved how there's a patio in the front of the house and in the back.. Morning coffee with sunrise and dinner in the back with sunset. We also loved how secluded we were and loved using the new BBQ. We had a wonderful time and hope to have the pleasure of coming back next summer.
Thank you,
Maggie.Ula.Kareena.

Hamilton, OntarioA Super Cottage Experience
Left on 09/29/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This cottage was lovely, well-kept and cared for. The chalet style, with 3 boys aged 15,13, & 12, and the loft area was a big hit. We loved the pine ceilings, railing and floors throughout, that made it feel like a real cottage experience. We only had to make one phone call to the owners to find the paddles for the canoe, and they were very helpful and did not seem bothered, and in fact offered us to use whatever there was in the bunkhouse (where the paddles were). Location was really nice, esp. **sunsets** and to hear the lapping waves. A small community beach was about a 5 min. drive or 20 min. walk and was very clean and sandy. For us, it didn't matter that the cottage was not "beachfront" because our boys are happy to swim anywhere, and the rocky landscape along the water, although pretty slippery, suited them (and our very happy dog) just fine. By the way, these owners were very accomodating by letting us bring our 60 lb. dog (vs. the 30 lb. limit in the ad), which was very important to all of us having him there :) Location was 1/2 hr. drive to Tobermory, Sauble Beach, the Grotto, etc. so short drives to a lot of different excursions. Liked Best: Loft, Back Deck, Firepit area, and lots of land to play catch, horseshoes or frisbee, etc. Liked Least: No washing machine --> but being on a well, it's understandable and there is a laundromat in Tobermory if you need to make a run. We would definitely recommend this cottage and the photos we showed our friends and family reinforced this. We had many comments on how beautiful it looked. It was great to go to a place that matched/exceeded our expectations.

We spent a wonderful week at Schooners Haven. This is the first time that we've stayed in a vacation rental home and it was great. We have three children and a dog, and this was the perfect way to accomodate everyone, there was lots of room. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were happy to see that the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures. With plenty of room for the kids to play outside, we actually found some time to relax on our vacation! The house was perfect, and there was so much to do in the surrounding area, we would certainly consider going back. We definitely recommend this house.
