Cottage Profile This 1500 sq ft cabin is centrally located on the North Bruce Peninsula, just south of the village of Lion's Head and is surrounded by 25 acres of mature hardwood forest, full of nice walking trails. The property is shared by two cabins, the one you will be renting and one that is occupied by the owner of the land. The cottages are 500 feet apart and offer good screening from each by trees and vegetation. The owner wishes to respect your privacy while you are on vacation. Inside the cottage you will find a large living area with panelled walls, laminate flooring and a cedar ceiling. The living area has a leather couch, and cha...ir, as well as a 24" television with satellite and a DVD player. Adjacent to the living area is a lovely sunroom. The many windows in this room allow natural sunlight to flow inside throughout the day. There is a fully equipped eat-in kitchen on the main floor of the cabin. The kitchen features a dishwasher, microwave, fridge and stove. (Please note, the antique wood stove in the kitchen is not for renters use). A door in this room will take you out to a shady deck with patio furniture. A dining table sits tight to the window in the kitchen with a view of the hardwood forest outdoors. The table will seat six comfortably for meals. On the upper floor of the cottage you will find three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and there are patio doors in this room that take you out to your own private east-facing deck - the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. The second bedroom has a double bed, and the third bedroom has two single beds. A four-piece bathroom is located on the main floor of the cottage. Laundry facilities are also available for your convenience. The cottage is located on a county road, and is set well back from the road and cannot be seen from it. The driveway is about 500 feet long, making this property private. A large grassy lawn is the perfect place for children to run around and play. You can watch them while you are barbecuing dinner on the propane BBQ on the stone patio outside. This patio also has a picnic table, patio table with umbrella and chairs, and a chaise lounger. The village of Lion's Head is located 9 km from the cottage. Lion's Head is a quaint village on the shores of Georgian Bay. There you have access to a bank, hardware store, grocery store, liquor store and pharmacy, as well as opportunities to eat out. Lion's Head also has a public sand beach that is great for young children, with gradual entry into the water and good swimming. A large playground and swing set are also located here at the beach. Or you can travel 5 km to the public sandy beach at Hope Bay, which also has great swimming. This is a great family cottage!

  We spent a wonderful week at this well equipped and pretty cottage. It is a short drive from Lion's Head, nestled in stunning, well maintained flower gardens, which to the delight of my sister from England, were frequented by a variety of hummingbirds and dragonflies. The comfy, spacious cottage made an excellent base for all our excursions and a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day. We also enjoyed just spending time in the peaceful, pretty environment.
  The owners do have a cotage nearby but are determined to keep to themselves so their guests can enjoy their privacy.
  We had a wonderful time, and look forward to a return visit.
