Das appartmet hat die ideale Lage, um Lissabon zu Fuss zu erobern. Es liegt absolut ruhig und doch zentral. Auch die U-Bahn,mit der man die anbindung zum Flughafen hat, ist ganz in der Nähe.
Das appartment selber war unglaublich sauber und sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir sind als 2 Einzelpersonen gereist und haben auch die Wohnküch als Schlafraum genutzt, was problemlos möglich war.
Zusätzliches Highlight war die abholung am Flughafeb durch Hugo Silva, der uns gleich noch eine kleine Stadtführung mit lieferte.
Also alles rundum perfekt und unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen. -

Just returned from a six night stay in Lisbon at this apartment. It is exactly as stated in their information except for one thing.
I do need to point out that on the whole the street is very quiet, despite being so close to bars and eateries, However, there is a small restaurant next door but one to the apartment. The kitchen washing up area must go behind the shop in between, as there is quite a noise in the bedroom from the washing up. It does finish around midnight, and after 3 days of walking all day around Lisbon and area, we were tired enough to get to sleep through it.
If you are a night owl, this will not bother you in the slightest, but if like us you are day people, I think you just need to be aware - take some ear plugs.
The apartment is small but lovely, and has everything you need, just be aware that the bathroom can get quite steamy despite the extractor fan and towels are difficult to dry - probably better in summer when it is hotter.
The owners are trialling a pick up service from the airport, if convenient. We were met by Hugo, who was great and gave us lots of local info on the drive to the apartment and made sure we settled in ok.
On the whole this was a very enjoyable break, but perhaps six days was a little too long. Also do not take stilettos heels to Lisbon, you will break your ankle. Thank you for bringing to our attention the restaurant situation. We just contacted our lawyer and condo association to deal with that fact. That is a very recent restaurant that we were barely aware. Before was a vegetarian restaurant that closed at 6PM, and the owner was fantastic. We will for sure take care of that situation.

La ubicación del apartamento era óptima. Muy cerca del centro, pero en una calle lo suficientemente tranquila como para poder descansar y dormir bien. Muy bien comunicado con el transporte público (metro, autobús y tranvía). Muy bien equipado. No echamos nada en falta y todo funcionó a la perfección. Si volvemos a Lisboa, repetiremos.
Como pegas, diré que debajo del apartamento hay un restaurante, y alguna noche hubo algo de jaleo. Nada demasiado grave, y por suerte acabaron pronto. La ventana del dormitorio da a un patio interior, aunque por las mañanas sigue siendo bastante luminoso. -

The owner Kristen was nice in her emails to us, giving information about the city and the apartment. She even helped us with a free pick up service from the airport which we appreciate a lot. Hugo, the man who picked us up was friendly and helpful. He drove us around the area, near the apartment and pointed to us on where to get groceries, and some of the nicest bread.
The location of the apartment was perfect. It is near small groceries shop and many restaurants. The apartment is also very near Hard Rock Cafe, bus stops, metro / subway and taxi points.
The only improvement that I feel the apartment needs is maintenance. The apartment is nice, exactly like what was shown in the picture. However, it was not cleaned. The bathroom was dirty, with hair in the bathtub and bidet (there were several all over). The kitchen was dusty and dirty although there was nothing in the sink. The washing machine was so dirty, with so much hair and lint. We had to clean the bathroom and sanitize it before using it (the good thing is this apartment has all sorts of cleaning materials in the bathroom cabinet). We cleaned and removed all hair and dust from the washing machine. The dryer did not work when we were trying to use it. The refrigerator was also dirty and the previous tenants food still left (there were half eaten baby food). The apartment also has a funky odor that we had to go and buy room deodorizer. We opened the windows most of the time to ventilate the apartment when we were there.

This nice apartment in the heart of Lisbon is a very good place to stay for experiencing Lisbon (even with a toddler). The kitchen is well equipped, the sleeping room is very comfortable with a huge closet and a nice bed. The living room/kitchen is quite nice and everything is new and well chosen. Although the aparment is situated directly in the center of Lisbon, the apparment is quiet at night (just some church bells in the morning). And the best: very friendly owners who gave a lot of information on everything. Even a pickup service for the arrival is available. Just one minor flaw: the sofa bed in the living room has a spot, that is quite worn. For one person ok, two persons would have a problem.
But for us the apartment was just perfect.

L'appartement est situé au centre de Lisbonne il est donc facile d'accèder à la place du commerce, à la gare, à l'avenue de la liberté... à pied. Il est trés proche d'une station de métro si besoin.
L'appartement est trés spacieux et trés propre. Il est bien équipé : lave linge, lave vaiselle et internet. Nous avons trouvé le rapport qualité prix trés bon.
Merci donc à Kristine et Nelson de proposer un si beau appartement dans cette ville qui vaut le coup d'être visitée.

We had a great time staying at this apartment. Owners were helpful and informative with email correspondence before our arrival.
We were hoping that pick up service be available at the train station upon our arrival (from Porto), however, we were informed that no one was available. As it was our very first time to the city, working out the local public transport and the ticketing system, catching the Metro, locating the street, the apartment etc., especially in the intense heat on the day (it was 39C when we arrived!) all became rather stressful. However, when we found the apartment, met with the helper lady and shown the rooms, all turned out OK after all.
Once we were settled in, we found the apartment comfortable and convenient, perfect for our needs, for our sightseeing several days in Lisbon. The compact rooms were well equipped for a couple to stay, with modern electric appliances, utensils, and furniture. During our stay, it was very hot, so having the air-con in good working order, and the washing machine with the built-in clothes dryer was most useful.
A few things we wished we had, were 1-2 extra toilet rolls, cleaning clothes and dishwasher tablets, and better quality bed linen supply. But we could easily buy the provisions ourselves (except sheets) so not such a huge problem. The only minor issue was the nearby church bells going early morning at odd times, which woke us up every time.
Walking around this area was very nice, day and night. We used Metro station 'Restauradores' and also walked to Rossio often (there is a supermarket 'Pingo Doce' and numerous restaurants and cafes). We also took a train excursion to Sintra from here. Very handy. We walked to Tram 28 as well as Tram up the steep street towards 'Bairo alto' in short distance- where many restaurants have tables on the narrow lanes at night.
All in all, we had a great time in this great city, largely due to the wonderful accommodation we had. So thank you very much!!

We not always have the ability to do the pick up due to conflicting schedules, but the public transportation is phenomenal in Lisbon, and it does take you right to the apartment. Almost in every street in Lisbon there is a church with bells ringing, while we understand it is new for some people, it is also what makes Lisbon with such a strong character.

Excellent location - 27 rua Sao Jose is just one street back from avenida da Liberdade and equidistant to avenida and Restuadores Metro stations.
What you get - a 1 double bedded bedroom apartment with a seperate bathroom [ good shower over bath]and a lounge kitchen with a twin sofa,air conditioning, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and digital T.V.[ limited U.K. programmes}. The apartment is a recent conversion of an old building and the work has been carried out to a very high standard. It is well decorated in good taste with comfortable furnishings to a good standard. It is on the first floor and is accessed by both stairs and a lift.
Collection from the airport is included and we were met by a very nice helpful young lady - nice change from the usual taxi "ride of fear" with the driver tailgateing the car in front that you get in most capital cities.
Overall this apartment is a great place to stay and is excellent value for money.
Tips- 1. don't attempt to walk down Calcada da Santaana[accessed from the nearby escalator] to the Castle. Quaint it may be but the road is dangerously narrow, very steep and with uneven slippery surfaces at its far end.
2. do go to the Botanical Gardens behind Museo da Historica Natural - a green haven of calm and it's free!
3. if planning to go onto the algarve - go to Gare du Oriente station a.s.a.p. and buy your tickets in advance - good discounts for over 65's [ you need to show passports] Train journey is very scenic and incredibly cheap even for 1st class.Response from Kristine Karlsen & Nelson Cortes - 07/09/2012

This is the perfect place to visit Lisboa by foot !!
It s a very quiet and safe neighbourhood, but few meters later, there is a very animated street with a lot of touristic restaurant and not expansive !
There is anything you need in the apartment. The interesting thing is that the room is separated from the living room.
It s clean, and we were very well welcomed.

This is truly a great apartment. I should know...I stayed here for a period of 3 months and it became my home away from home. What really made the stay was that Kristine and Nelson were excellent hosts. Nothing was too difficult to organise before, during or after my stay.
The apartment is modern, well presented, clean and tidy. The neighbours are very quiet and so is the street -which is great considering it is located just back from avenue da Liberdade. Walking around this area I always felt safe. The apartment is within easy walking distance of Linha azul Metro station of avenida and is a 5 minute walk down to Rossio station (where you can catch the regional trains when travelling beyond Lisboa e.g. Sintra.)
Convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are all close by. Up the road there are a couple of small convenience stores. The Pingo Doce supermarket located off the Rossio is the best if you are stocking up on supplies. You can eat at many restaurants in Praça dos Restauradores (about 2 min.s walk) and also buy a superb takeaway Portuguese chicken at Bom Jardin.
If you like live music then you are also just two blocks from the Hard Rock Cafe and the Bairo alto is also within walking distance...albeit up a steep hill!

Apartment and location were perfect, we had a very pleasant stay in Lisbon! Only disadvantage could be the fact that the check in lady only spoke portuguese, although that was no problem for me personally because i speak a little Portuguese. I would definitely stay there again and recommend that place.

Apartment is ok for parents and small children but could be to small for long stay for 4 adults (1 bedroom and 1 sofa in the kitchen). It is very close metro stations and walking distance from square where city transport starts (yellow buses, trams). Street is very quiet. No problem with parking in teh evening.

We were very pleased with the apartment. The location was excellent for sightseeing. The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable. The problem with check-in was understandable as we had had to change arrangements due to ill health, but would recommend that guests are advised which bell to ring for the apartment.

This apartment is perfect for a couple - would not recommend for more than 2 people for any length of time as it becomes too small a space if the sofa bed is being used. The service we received prior was fantastic. The owners were in constant contact with us and even arranged a pick up service for us. The location is very handy and you can walk to everything. The only down sides were the noise from the other apartments as the walls must be quite thin and the church bells - but if you are a good sleeper it shouldn't bother you. My husband is very tall so we found the bed a bit small. There is plenty of wardrobe space in the bedroom. Overall it is a really good value apartment.

The fantastic experience started from the free pick-up offered at the airport. The owners' friend was very friendly and fun to talk to. He even offered to drive us to the top of one of Lisboin's hills en route to give us a great view over the city to start the trip. The check-in process was easy.
The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay - wifi, AC, comfortable bed and sofa. The apartment is also deceptively spacious with great storage for your things.
The location can't be beaten. Moments from the central squares and restaurants. A short walk up to Chiado and Bairro alto too.

I travelled with 2 elderly parents. The bedroom was very quiet, the sleeper bed in the living room was comfortable. In that it was spring break, there was street noise in the wee hours. None of it could be heard in the bedroom. Hugo Silva picked us up and was kind and patient in acclimating us to the apt. The location is great. The owners are helpful and kind as well. The apt. faces a quiet and beautiful government building.

We had a perfect stay - new, spotless and quiet apartment in the center, great location! Owners were very friendly and helpful with everything we asked - info, tips, recommendations. We even got free pick up service and late check out. Excellent service, much more than we expected! And cherry on the top was the small price, total value of the money! Everything worked out smoothly and we didn't feel uncomfortable in any situation from the reservation till the end. Thank you Kristine and Nelson to take care of us so well!

All my queries got an answer before I left. The final pleasant surprise was an airport pick-up: no time lost findind the apt. The location (which was the main reason of my choice) is ideal; walking distance to the center, but also close to metro and bus. Plain but very cheap restaurants in the street self. Even if we did not use all of them lots of things were provided: satellite TV, WiFi, ironing board, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine. One can easily live there for a while.(a few little things might then be added, like a tupperware). I was sharing with a friend and slept in the back room which has not too much light but is really quiet. Eva used the sofa in the livingroom and she could hear the neighbour through the wall even late at night. To be fair I would say that the apt is ideal for a maximum of a couple and 2 children. Or for young people
who are not fussy about the sleeping quarters.
We were told to just leave the keys and I was again impressed by such a trust.
It was all like renting from a friend; I absolutely e,courage others to give it a try. Daniela

The apartment fully lives up to its description. Comfortable,modern. well equipped, spotlessly clean. Its position is ideal for exploring the City and for public transport links, but the road itself is very quiet - and also has several good restaurants at very reasonable prices. We would certainly re-book if making another trip to Lisbon.

There can be a bit of noise from the neighbours, because all the noise travels easily through the walls and floors. -

The well-equipped apartment was nice and very clean and perfectly located. The owners and their representant in Lisbon were extremely polite and kind. Neighborhood is quiet and neat so even though the sound isolation was not that good it didn't bother so much. Otherwise the insulation was good enough since we didn't need the heaters to keep us warm in chilly November nights.

( dont wifi). Seul bémol, il est moyennement insonorisé, mais les nuisances sonores restent très raisonnables! En résumé, on vous le conseille! -

Everything was really fantastic ! The place, people, weather.
The apartment is very nice and cosy. In the hart of city, at the back of wide promenade but very calm and silent. At the end of the street there are many of good restaurants. Most of must - seeing are in the walking distance or you can reach them very easy. If we go to Lisbon next time we will stay here again. The representative of hosts was very helpfull and nice. Every thing was perfect !

I can`t say enough good things about this apartment. Everything we needed was provided. The location is fantastic. Located right on restaurant row with no traffic, people wandering around in the evening, chance to meet new people over dinner. We ate there once and we decided no cooking our evening meal in it was just to much fun to dine out. We could walk right down town and through to the water, buses and train within walking distance. Taxi`s easy to find. We didn`t need a car. I recomend this accomodation highly.

The apartment was light, bright, comfortable and very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was an ideal size for two people. Any questions we had about the apartment and visiting Lisbon in general were answered promptly and in detail. The availability of wifi was an added bonus which we found very useful. The location was central and the metro and local bus services were close by and enabled us to visit all the local attractions without the need for a car.

We stayed 5 days and everything went perfectly, the contact person was very available, the apartment was exactly as described such as all the equipment... Btw the fans were very useful at this time of the year!!!
The location is very convenient (Restauradores and 5 minutes away from Rossio) and it was easy to go to all the big places (like Cais do Sodre train station, for example).

I would like to thank the owners for their extreme concern and care both - while preparing for the trip and during the stay. It was not me who was travelling, but my parents, who are not speaking English seniors. Nevertheless Kristine and Nelson arranged everything in the most convenient mode. My parents admired and the newly designed apartment and its location. Next time in Lisbon we will choose this place again for sure.

I have no words to describe the kindness and the hospitality of Nelson.
We've been hosted in their house...but we've felt like the home was ours.
The Home(it hasn't be a house for us..) was Clean, ordered and full of every comfort. And if something goes wrong...Nelson will help you.
Ask him everything, he'll know. We've been guided by his hints in the Lisbon's night life. And we've enjoyed his city:he loves it so much, his eyes say it so clearly.

The apartment is very modern and is located just adjacent the Libertdad which is the main, modern street in Lisbon. The apartment is close to restaurants and the metro which turned out to be our main method of getting around. The owners were very nice and helpful especially after we were having some brainfreeze in using the apartment's 100 channel tv set...

My sister and I stayed in this property during our stay in Lisbon and it was fantastic!! The space is small but very functional and well furnished. The location is ideal and everything is easily within walking distance including major train stations, the city centre and the best night spots!

My girlfriend and I stayed in this charming flat in the heart of Lisbon in Sept 2009. I must say that the experience was a great one. Lisbon is a city made for walking and this rental unit is perfectly situated for this purpose, just a few minutes walk from many of Lisbon's must see, must visit locations.
The flat itself is modern looking and nicely decorated, perfect for a couple. The unit is located on the second floor and easily accessable by stairs or elevator.
Dealing with Nelson and Kristine was a pleasure and we were well attended by Nelson's brother in Lisbon. Overall this flat enhanced our Lisbon stay and is highly recommended to anyone looking for the 'living in Lisbon' experience!

We recieved a very good service from the owners with all our questions answered quickly prior to renting. They were also easy to contact if we had any questions whilst there. The flat was spotless and everything important was provided. The location is great - the city centre is virtually on the doorstep and yet the immediate neighbourhood is very peaceful, bus/metro/train stops are within 5 mins walk and it is easily accessible from the airport.
A very comfortable flat to come home to after hiking up and down the cobbled hills of Lisbon. -

My wife and I stayed four nights in this apartment and have no qualms about recommending the place to other couples.
The apartment is decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Local shops and cafes are just a stone's throw away.
Transport links are excellent - for both the train and buses.
If you want to get a real flavour of life in Lisbon you can't beat staying in a "real" apartment such as this rather than in a hotel.
If we have the chance again we would not hesitate to go back! -

We had an amazing time in Lisbon, in large part due to Kristine and Nelson's help in making our accommodations free of hassle.
The apartment is beautiful-- newly remodeled with all the amenities you could want and in a great location by the Avenida de Liberdade and Rossio Square.
Kristine and Nelson were very responsive to all our inquiries, both before and during our time in Lisbon. They also gave us helpful tips on which places to visit. We loved our stay!
