MadridJust like at home
Left on 01/28/2012 for a stay in April 2011
Very nice and cosy appartment with beautiful views. The flat has everything you might need. We felt just like at home and after walking the whole day, we always looked forwrd to returning home, and relax on the terrace. Shops are close, supermarket in the station, underground close by, good internet connection.
Perhaps, the trains at night/early in the morning, are a bit annoying. All the rest: great! -

Oxford, UKGreat view, great value

We very much enjoyed our stay in Tagus Mirror apartment, the location is just a short walk from the centre of Lisbon and also very handy for the station. The balcony makes the apartment and is a lovely spot above the city to watch activity on the river. We have some beautiful photos of morning mist on the Tagus. The apartment is clean, very comfortable and larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is good, the bathroom could perhaps do with a little updating but is fine, and clean. We were given a kind welcome, a pastry and some wine from the local cafe on arrival which was a lovely start (and by the way, the food at the cafe, just a few doors down, is highly recommended). You need to be reasonably fit for the stairs, but the view is well worth the climb. All in all a lovely stay, thank you.

BpDesign apartment with really nice view.
Left on 05/23/2011 for a stay in September 2010
We really liked the apartment, and the wonderful view. It was well furnished, and really clean. Location is quite good, the only negative thing that sometimes we could hear the trains from the trainstation nearby.

Thank you for your review. Santa Apolónia is not a busy train station, specially at night, but sometimes there may be some noise due to wind orientation and some locomotive maneuvers. I'm glad you liked the apartment, though, and you are very welcome whenever you wish.

Let me begin by thanking the positive comments about me.
Regarding the negative comments, the apartment is located in the 4th floor of an ancient building in the historic part of the city, as announced. Practically there are no lifts in these older buildings, which gives them the characteristic charm and mystique of the area.
The neighbourhood, beyond being what is commonly found in all cities, has surprised me very positively during the 7 years I lived in the apartment. There is a sense of community, where people actually communicate and know each other. I have met several neighbours, including some from different nationalities who have chosen to live in this area and I often could found very close help with job tasks or simple everyday problems.
Cleaning is one of the aspects that I consider a priority and where I take the proper precautions to prevent any failure. However, when the guest called me, I found that, despite the apartment being practically spotless, there were two places that the company's cleaning staff did not check: the interior of the stove and the inside rubber of the washing machine door. Promptly, on the day I was warned, I contacted the cleaning service and within a few hours they come to clean these two issues. Nevertheless, I have changed to another cleaning service company.
Finally, I would comment that, although I respect all opinions, the evaluation given to the apartment seems too unfair to me, once I have received dozens of people (older, groups, families with children, etc.) in which nearly all show to be quite satisfied with the value, location, cleanliness, comfort and service of the apartment. -

Stuttgart, GermanyExcelent apartment with a explended view
Left on 06/12/2010 for a stay in May 2010
It was worth climbing a few floors with our bags to find this bright and charming apartment waiting for us. The decor is modern and comfortable. Has all necessary amenities, including a fully functional kitchen. Both living room and bedroom have access to the terrace. From there, we could enjoy the spectacular view over the river and the lit National Pantheon, especially in the evening while enjoying a meal with some nice wine. :)
The location is great. There are several small shops and restaurants. Historic sites are also nearby and we even went for a walk through the lovely historic paths, feeling the city’s charisma.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this apartment. -

ZürichRomantic view over the wonderful City & the Tagus river
Left on 06/12/2010 for a stay in July 2009
Me and my girlfriend really loved our holidays in this unique peaceful space, unlike anywhere else we stayed before. It’s a really wonderful place, also near to everything you could need, not even 5 minutes of walking to the next metro and bus stations. It is also very near to Baixa-chiado (2 metro station) where you get everything, from culture to diversion, shopping moles and huge market places.
The Apartment itself has a very stylish design, which makes it modern and very cozy. The space has just everything you need, from the air condition, which is pretty useful in summer, to the internet access, TV, a fully equipped kitchen and nice space full bathroom.
We specially loved the terrace, where we had a romantic candle light dinner on my birthday. It has such a magical sight over the city and the Tagus River both, at day and night. We also usually had breakfast there.
Almost forgot, the owner, Paulo is a very nice and helpful person. He gave us plenty of information’s about sightseeing tours and other tips and tricks, things that we could do in Lisbon, which was very helpful. Thank you!!
You just have to be aware of the stairs; the apartment is in the 4th floor and there is no elevator, so you do your everyday workout with the stairs ;-)
All in all we cannot more than recommend this wonderful space, it’s really an unique experience. We’re looking forward to come back one day!!
Greetings from Zürich. Milo & Cass.
