Spainbest election to visit lisbon!!
Left on 05/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This apartment is located in the historical center of lisboa, in the baixa, near all the transport, and it connects easily with the airport. There are restaurants and different shops around, included supermarket for if you want to cook. The apartment is modern, is very clean and is very conformtable. The house is like you can see in the web, it has all the comforts for a tourist stay. And the building has elevator, it is perfect to visit the city. The owners were very nice in the checking and in check out. I would recommend it as the best option for tourists in the city.

Madrid, SpainComodida, limpieza y ubicación inmejorable
Left on 03/29/2013 for a stay in March 2013

LancasterGreat appartment in handy location
Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed here for 7 nights in July. The apparment was a good size and clean when we arrived.
We arrived quite late and not knowing our way around did take us a little while to find it from the bus stop in the dark. However, once found it was very easy to get to the main shopping area and bar/cafes nearby.
A nice touch was the bottle of wine in the fridge from the owner, who was also very helpful before our trip answering any questions we had promptly. There was also a lot of information in the flat in the form of leaflets and business card regarding things to do and where to eat.
Although there is air conditioning in the building this doesn't cover the second bedroom which can be an issue if it's really warm. However, all in all a very pleasant stay and we would definately stay here again if I revisited Lisbon

Just stayed for 4 days in Lisbon in this relatively centrally located apartment, I beleive we were the first guests after the apartment was restored completely. Rooms are all a reasonable size and fairly comfortable, it has a huge terrace which we didn't use as it was winter but I imagine would be great in spring and summer. If you like something simple, comfortable and not too luxury this is fine. The neighbourhood is not for everyone as it can be a little rough looking but that didnt worry me as I know if and felt very safe but I am sure some people might not like it. It's about 10-15 minute walking distance to the main central areas or a cab which is about 4 euros..

We just came back from Lisbon and this is like a home away from home. We fell in love with the place. Stayed here for 8 nights in this property. The apartment is clean, comfortable and all the supplies were available for use. We mean everything, from dishes, iron and ironing board and even umbrellas for those rainy days in Lisbon. You can even rent a cellphone from the property owner if needed. One of the bedrooms have an a/C as well as the dining room and living room. There is a 42-inch TV, cable and free wi-fi. It makes a difference for us who are used to using the a/C. The building has a elevator/lift so it makes it easy to go up and down since the apartment is on the 4th level. For those who are staying longer, there is also a washer and dryer to use inside the apartment. The property is close to everything. Location is very important for us. The property is centrally located and you will not be wasting your time commuting to places that you need to visit. It is close to all forms of public transportation, restaurants, grocery stores, stores along Rua Du augusta, post office, banks, even money exchange and most especially Lisbon attractions on alfama, Bairro-Alto, Praco do Cromercio, Rossio and Baixa.
The reservation process was easy and communication throughout the booking process was smooth. The owner made sure that the property was to our own satisfaction when we arrived. We had a welcome gift when we arrived (a bottle of wine) and was such a pleasant surprise for us! During our stay a couple of the light bulbs went out and we decidd to rent a cellphone so the owner was prompt in fulfilling our two requests. When we checked out, Ms. Ilda was on time considering it was early in the morning and she was nice enough to call the taxi for us for our ride to the airport.
We highly recommend this property. You will never go wrong in choosing this property. We will definitely come back.Thank you Jose and Ms. Ilda. We had a grand time in Lisbon!

The transaction was smooth and both Jose and his step mom were accommodating. They even got us a taxi to the airport when we left. All I can say is the location of this apartment is perfect. You are at the heart of some major attraction such as St. George's Castle, Praca do Comercio, shopping district, etc. The Metro station is also only a min walk making everything else accessible.
I would definitely stay here again when I get a chance to go back to Lisbon! -

Left on 09/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We arrived at the apartment and the first impression we had was of a place really well kept, where everything looked like brand new even if it wasn't. The cleanliness is perfect everywhere, so we felt immediately comfortable. The kitcheen is equipped with everything you should need. The linens are immaculate and of nice quality. The furniture of good level and disposed with a good taste. We really felt like in a real home.
The location is perfect, right in the centre and near to the main attractions. The mytical "28" has a stop right around the corner. Just a street behind it's full of nice restaurants (but with a kitchen like the one we had at home...we even made bread!!).
The owners are very kind. They prepared a lot of material about where to go, what to do, how to use things in the house (from the oven to the home cinema system). They arranged for us a taxi, fixed for our way back to the airport.
What to say more? Well, go there and enjoy it! Lisbon worth the visit and Prata apartments worth the stay!! :)))

We loved the apartment!! perfect location all the amenities we needed. So easy. Only issue was payment from Canada - the payment process was complicated since they do not accept Credit card and resulted in an additional fee. If that was corrected it would be perfect.

We booked this blindly and want to report that it is a great 2 bedroom apt in a great location and great view up and down the street. The kitchen is perfect, both bedrooms and beds were fine. The bathroom is good and the living room was fine. We were two adults and 4 teenagers. It is right in the heart of old Lisbon and if you haven't seen Lisbon, it is a great location. Close to the castle (15 minutes) and only steps away from great shops and food and a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. The bathrroom was a little "septic" so we kept fan running. The greeter only spoke Portuguese - very little English or French so that could be imporved as we had a lot of questions, but Jose was very quick to reply.

Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Booked this flat on a recommendation of a friend. It was immaculate, well described and really well-maintained. it was on the fourth floor of a renovated block of flats (it had a lift) in the center of Lisbon - near the busy restaurants and the River. Plenty cutlery and plates and a dishwasher as well. We didn't really use it as we ate out in the cheap restaurants in the area.
The beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice to get a starter pack of food and to be welcomed with a nice bottle of chilled wine!
I had been in contact with Jose Luz, the owner from the beginning of the booking and he kept in touch with me throughout giving helpful suggestions of restaurants and things to do.
We did many things in Lisbon - the museums are great - especially the Gulbenkian and a visit to Belem is a must. We also visited the castle but didn't get round to going to Sintra - it's nice to save something for another visit- and we will be making another visit.
We also did an afternoon cruise on the river which was great and so close to the flat. I would recommend getting a Lisbon card from the tourist office - it gives free or discounted entry to many museums as well as free travel in and out of the city.
All in all we had a great stay - all of us developed a liking for Pasteis de nata and caiperinhas- and a real liking for the city. Definitely recommended! -

Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012
I stayed at this apt in June 2012 and it was a very pleasurable experience. Both Mr Luz and Ms Ilda were prompt, friendly and helpful.
The check-in was smooth and easy.
The apt is aptly described as 'Modern, Spacious, Central, with Lift and aC'. It was clean, comfortable, bright, very well ventilated, secure, well stocked and tastefully done.
There were easy-to-follow instructions for all electronics including the the washer, drier, tv, dvd player, etc. Maps and guides to the closest super-markets, city tours, radio taxis, cultural shows - all the information was right there if needed.
The tiniest requirement seemed to have been thought of - whether you needed food clips to seal open plastic bags or Sellotape... The apt even had a first-aid kit and nail-polish remover!!! :)
The location is indeed very central, surrounded with restaurants and shopping.
Overall, I would highly recommend this apt to everyone. -

Me and four of my close friends stayed at this beautiful, spacious apartment for 3 days/2 nights one weekend we had off from our study abroad program. It was absolutely perfect for us. We used the new washer/dryer to do our laundry we had accumulated along the trip, we used the kitchen to cook one of our meals to save money, and we definitely made use of the balcony to chill, talk, and observe what was going on in the city. It is in a great location very close to the river, with a small grocery store, shopping, cafes and liquor stores nearby. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a nice shower. I was nervous about having to share one bathroom between 5 people but it never posed a problem because we could all fit our toiletries in there without it being too cluttered. We loved being able to keep both balcony doors ajar to let in the cool breeze from the 3rd floor. It is also in walking distance of the infamous bairro alto.
I highly recommend it! Not to mention the fact that the owner was very nice, attentive, and answered any questions we had.
As far as attractions go, our two favorites were going to bairro alto for the nightlife and across the bridge to Costa da Caparica for a great beach scene. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
One thing to watch out for is the drunks along the river and also the people on the streets trying to sell you drugs. If you ignore them though, there is no harm done. -

The apartment, and all my dealings with the owner, could not have been better. The apartment was fresh, clean and efficiently decorated with style. The elevator was a nice plus with all our luggage. The location was perfect. Right around the corner from cafes and shops, a stone's throw from the water, the alfama or the Barrio alta, yet quiet at night so we could sleep after a long day of sight seeing. Everything worked well at the apartment - great hot water pressure for showers, coffee and milk thoughtfully provided for the mornings, radiators easy to use to warm up the place on a February evening. Rooms are modest but so efficiently organized that we never felt cramped. Loved the slate tiles and colorful towels in the bathroom. As a family of four we couldn't have had a better place to stay for our long weekend in Lisbon. Stay here!

I cannot say enough about this apartment. I have rented private apartments for years for visits to NY and never been quite happy. This is the first time I have done it in Europe. The apartment was absolutely beautiful. Nice and large, beautifully appointed. Despite being in an old building, it has been totally remodeled. Great appliances, great kitchen stuff, fast and reliable Wi-fi, large LCD TV. It has nice linens and comfortable beds. We didn't really know Lisbon, but the location turned out to be exactly where we thought would be the perfect place to stay. Quiet, but easy walks to lots of shopping, major sites, restaurants. It also is an easy walk to the metro and the train station. Having an elevator is a major positive thing as well. Not all buildings there have them.
Jose and is incredibly helpful and was one of the nicest apartment owners I have ever dealt with. Mrs. Ilda, who works with him, was equally terrific. The financial dealings with him were totally smooth and not stressful. Our cleaning deposit was even returned upon inspection when we checked out. I hope to return to Lisbon and would stay here every time without shopping around. -
