Castelo Attic is a gorgeous little attic duplex on the top floor of a building dating back to the 1690’s! The building is located right in the heart of Lisbon between the ancient Saint George Caste (in Portuguese ‘Castelo São Jorge’) and the cent...ral city square known as Martim Moniz.

The flat has been completely renovated in 2010 as a livable modern flat with a noticeable historical touch. The flat is low-emission with a number of features to reduce energy consumption and heat loss.

On the top floor, there is a bedroom with a 160×200 cm double bed with memory foam for complete relaxation. The lower floor holds an open space with a comfortable sofa bed. There is also a kitchen with two hot plates, a fridge, a toaster, and other standard kitchen utilities. The bathroom is small but classy with spacious shower.

The flat has windows on three sides – one providing a view of the neighborhoods of Mouraria and Graca, one facing a small local ‘square’ and a third to an antique passage.

Full of history, Mouraria is waiting for you. Famous as the birthplace of Fado music, you will find an array of live music taverns, as well as shops, dotted around the narrow little streets of this picturesque part of town. Offering an excellent location for exploring and a price tag that won’t blow the budget, the Mouraria 1 apartment should be on your list for Lisbon getaway.

  This apartment was a pleasant surprise, located within walking distance of all tourists sites and within a section of old Lisbon Lisbon. We felt at ease right away. The check-in was nice and we got all the information we wanted. Very clean and modern. Would recommend to anyone!
