Apartment number 243 is located in the first floor of a renovated building in the old city centre, in Príncipe Real, place where a large part of the cultural, gastronomic and nightlife of Lisbon takes place. On the surroundings there are some art galleries, several restaurants and the famous Lisbon Botanical garden. At 50 meters, you have " Praça das Flores", ideal square for a drink in the shadow of quiet trees.

The apartment is at short walking distance from the other picturesque neighbourhoods of Baixa, Chiado and Alfama, where you can find the historic Castle (S. Jorge). Nearby you have all kinds of traditional commerc...e, high standard shops (at Chiado) and access to the train to the beaches around Cascais (Cais do Sodré).

There are 2 public car parks within 5 minutes walking distance (Rua do Século e Rua da Escola Politécnica) and a taxi stop at 50 meters. The closest subway stations areRato and Chiado (10 minutes walk).

It is a 90 m2 apartment recently renovated to include:

* 2 bedroom with double bed (140*200) ;

* 2 bathrooms with shower;

* living room (satellite TV, Wifi Internet and DVD player) with an eating table;

* a kitchen with washing machine, stove and oven, fridge with freezer and everything you will need to have a confortable stay;

* a garden with an eating table where you can sit and relax.

In wintertime it is heated with electric heaters.

Wireless broadband access available for those who have their own laptop with Wi-Fi compatible equipment.

We will welcome you with a bottle of wine.

The apartment is located next door to the marvellous garden Príncipe Real. There are several other apartments at Principe Real and Bairro Alto.

There are several public car parks within walking distance.

Bairro Alto dates back to the 16th century and is characterized by its small workshops and restaurants. By day, it is a quiet sleepy area (recently pedestrianised); by night the area becomes alive and is a popular place to dine and drink away the early hours.

Príncipe Real is an elegant 18C and 19C neighborhood with a pleasant centenarian park having a quiet open air café and the water museum – Museu da água). In the neighborhood, there are several very good restaurants and bars, all kind of commerce, including antique shops, the park of Principe Real and the oldest Botanical Garden of Lisbon (Jardim Botânico) of the University Clássica of Lisbon. You can also go to all the restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto where the sentimental 'fados' are still sung in some restaurants and cafés.

The apartment is a short walking distance from the other picturesque neighbourhoods ofBaixa, Chiado, and Alfama, where you can find the historic Castle (S. Jorge). It is also walking distance to the subway (the closest is Baixa-Chiado) and train stations (Cais do Sodré) that can take you to the beautiful beaches around Cascais.

A 5 minute walk takes you to Rossio, in Baixa, and to the Elevador da Gloria (Time Table), arriving in Avenida da Liberdade. In the other direction, by the river Tagus (Rio Tejo), you can find Praça do Comércio, centre of the old Portuguese empire. It is close to shops, restaurants, cafés, banks, cash machines, public transport (inc subway Baixa/Chiado station and electric trams) 24 hour taxi stands, etc.

The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport at 12 kilometres ; the nearest railway station is International Station of Santa Apolónia at 1 kilometre.Read more

  Charming apartment and ideal location

  We loved our visit to Lisbon and the charming apartment on Principe Real. We were greeted by a representative and we were given a terrific briefing. The apartment is well equipped and because of the split 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom layout it was ideal for us (a couple travelling with our 20 year old daughter). The location is ideal for exploring this wonderful city. Public transit was easy to manage and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance.

  Amazing apartment in a great location!

  This apartment was great and came with recommendations of local surroundings - all of which we tried and were delighted with!
  
  It is also within walking distance to many of the tourist sites and the nightlife in Bairro alto but at the same time away from the noise if you're not into the party life that Lisbon is renowned for!
  
  The apartment itself has two bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment, one with an ensuite the other with the main bathroom next to it. And there are real double beds(not two single beds pushed together!)which are super comfortable.
  
  It also has everything else you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay (i.e. fully equipped). :)
  
  I would highly recommend staying at this apartment and we also received a very warm welcome upon arrival.
