Philadelphia, PAThe best vacation I have ever had
Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in January 2012
As the name attests, I have yet to stay in a more cozy, comfortable, quaint or tidy rental than this cabin. My bf and I were looking to get away without breaking the bank (we're both graduate students). We did lots of research, looking at places from W.Virginia all the way up to Quebec. At the end of the day, nothing even began to compare with the Cozy Cabin on paper. We were not disappointed - After a fabulous week in the White Mountains, nothing can still compare to our experience. First, Karin is phenomenal. All of her e-mails and payment processes were prompt, organized, and very clear. Second, once arriving to the cabin, our jaws literally dropped. The entire place was spotless. Everything from the silverware to the wall hangings screamed cabin in the woods, and at the same time made us feel so much at home. Third, the hot tub was the best! We hung out in the tub every single night, enjoying light snow, -3F temperatures, and not to mention all of the gorgeous stars. Fourth, my bf loved the fireplace. He was always chopping wood in the garage for kindling and sat for hours getting the flames so they were just right. Fifth, the area is very fun to explore. We would take daily drives - sometimes with destinations in mind, sometimes not! We toured many quaint towns that we simply stumbled upon, and also enjoyed tearing through the mountain gouges and enjoying the scenery. For those who prefer to plan, there are lots of outdoor winter activities nearby from snowshoeing to skiing to ice skating. Sixth, we loved the privacy. The cabin is only five minutes from a major road, but still remote enough to feel like we were the only ones in the world. This was a great change from living in Philadelphia so I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in taking a break from city-life. You will not regret a single dime that was spent towards renting this property, for any duration of stay. We will definitely be back. Hands down, the best vacation I have ever had.

Hillsborough, NJCan't get enough of the Cozy Cabin!!!
Left on 02/08/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Just got back from our 5th stay at the Cozy Cabin (coldest so far) and, as usual, we had a great time and didn't want to leave. The place is so clean and comfortable you just feel right at home the minute you put your bags down. There was almost 2 feet of snow on the ground when we arrived and it didn't cause any problems at all. The driveway, porch, and steps were clear, and there was a path shoveled all the way to the steaming hot tub! Between the hot tub and the brand new fireplace we stayed toasty warm even though it was 22 below the first night. I could go on and on about all the things I love about this cabin, but my favorite part is that we can spend a few days up there and truly relax. How many vacations can you really say that about?

SomervilleRomantic getaway in the woods
Left on 02/06/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Set in private woods, the cabin was adorable. Nothing too grand or fancy (except for the beautiful outdoor hot tub!) but just right for our down to earth tastes. Tons of firewood just waiting to be loaded into the woodstove, all amenities provided in the kitchen with pots, pans and a good stock of spices and seasonings that made it feel very 'homey' to cook up a nice dinner. I also appreciated the shelter provided for the car with the drive-in wood shed. We managed to explore the surroundings - the nearby lake and waterfall. Mostly we enjoyed the peace and tranquility (no traffic noise) of the area.
Karen was very professional in arranging the booking and always answered the phone when needed. All in all, we really enjoyed our weekend getaway and look forward to going again. -

Ulverston (U.K.)Fantastic place to stay
Left on 01/22/2011 for a stay in December 2010
From the moment you walk in the door this place feels like home. Fixtures and fittings keep a real cabin style, spotlessly clean and with more amenities than you would expect - including a full kitchen, hairdryer, washer/dryer, board games, Dvds. A very effective heating system means the cabin stays warm without the fire, but the fire itself is a lovely feature - the garage is well stocked with logs and kindling. The location is private, with great views from the main window or from the deck through the woods down to the river, It's only a short drive to Littleton which has a town centre and all the usual shops, or to Franconia for activities, but if you just want to relax then you can bring your supplies and stay put. The location is fantastic for stargazing (there's even a telescope available), especially from the hot-tub. I'd recommend driving a 4x4 if you're going when it's snowy - a contractor snowploughs the driveway if needed, but there are a few slopes and bends around! The owner and housekeeper are very helpful if needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting a cozy cabin, either for a secluded retreat or as a base camp for activities in the area.
