Apartment number 10 is a charming studio located at the first floor of a renewed building in the Pena district.

Nearby you have all kinds of traditional commerce, and it is a walking distance from Lisbon's historical centre and some of the best sea food restaurants in the city. It is also a short walking distance to the subway and train stations going to the beaches around Cascais.

There are two public car parks 5 minutes walking.

It is 30m2 sunny studio and has been completely renovated, to include:

*

one room with a double bed (140 cm) a sofa, satelite TV, and CD player;

*

an independent kitchen wit...h all you need (electric stove and oven, microwave, fridge with freezer and washing machine);

*

a bathroom with a bathtub.

Wireless internet connection available for those who have their own laptop with Wi-Fi compatible equipment.

In wintertime it is heated with electric heaters.

We will welcome you with a bottle of wine.

Apartmen 10 is located in the district of Pena. Number 10 is located on a pedestrian street built over cobblestone stairs, one of the characteristics of Lisbon’s historic districts. There are several other apartments at Baixa.

The main feature of Pena is that it is a plateau, from which two main slopes descend, facing Martin Moniz and Avenida da Liberdade.

It begins at the north-east of Rossio and extends to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, commonly known by Campo de Santana. The streets on the two slopes are twisting and irregular, leading to many beautiful alleys and side streets.

Being one of the oldest districts in Lisbon, one is overwhelmed by the diversity of its buildings, constructed in accordance with the successive types of architecture through centuries. Wrought iron balconies from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries can be seen everywhere. In constant dialogue with the wrought iron are the glazed tiles of the façades - a style reportedly brought from Brazil after the 16th century.

Pena is a quiet neighborhood where one can find the Italian and German embassies, the birthplace of Amália Rodrigues and the place where Luis de Camões is supposed to have lived his last days (Calçada de Santana, nº 139).

It is very close to the famous Bairro Alto, a nightlife area, which can be reached by walking down Rossio or by taking the Elevator do Lavra, the oldest funicular in Lisbon. This 120 year old elevator goes every 15 minutes down to Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, the location of many excellent fish restaurants as recommended by many city guides (see KLM Lisbon city guide).

  l'accueil a été formidable,l'emplacement de l'appart idéal, la déco simple est chaleureuse,seul un radiateur de plus serait nécessaire au mois de Novembre il faisait froid..mais le soleil était au rendez vous à Lisbonne et dans l'accueil des portugais,

  On the positive side, the apartment was centrally located on a street with lots of services (internet, store, restaurants, etc.) and close to public transportation. The apartment was comfortable and had a clothes washer that was very helpful. The Traveling to Lisbon staff member who met us at the apartment was very helpful. She promptly replaced an old shower curtain which made our stay more enjoyable.
  
  On the negative side, the bed had bed bugs and their was black mold growing in the bathroom and along the window sills. The apartment was also difficult for us to find since it is not on a "normal" street but instead in a sort of alley without vehicle access. The map and instructions provided by Travel to Lisbon were not very clear as to the location of the apartment and we had to ask people on the street where the street for the apartment was. Some better instructions would help other travelers coming to this apartment.
  
  With better directions to the apartment and some basic cleaning/sanitizing, this apartment would be perfect for a stay in Lisbon given it's location and amenities.

  Regarding the black mold, we do have a rigorous maintenance schedule with each apartment, and we are already aware of this issue however I am afraid we are only able to fix it, weather permitting, due to paint and the use of special products.
  
  Concerning the bug beds, we are terribly sorry that you had to go through this experience. We were not aware of this whist you were here staying with us. And it is not a complaint that we have had before in this apartment. It is true that sometimes these bugs are transported in suitcases, and it is something beyond our control. Obviously, if ever guests are unsatisfied with any level of cleanliness or related issue, we ask that they contact us immediately, and we can have an extra cleaning arranged immediately.
  
  All this said, we are glad you find the apartment really well located and satisfied with our customer service.

  The apartament is really cosy. Although it is really near to the most interesting parts of the city (barrio alto, baixa and alfama) and you can move by foot, it isn't a tourist trap and we felt to be pourtugese more than simply travellers.

  I stayed for three nights. The apartment is in a perfect central location yet quiet.Reception on arrival from the airport was great. Facilities provided are great. I wish I had been staying longer and I would certainly stay there again. In fact I have already recommended the company to someone planning to visit Lisbon. Excellent!

  apartamento 10.Esta muy bien situado,a 2 minutos andando de Plaza del Rossio.Es reducido,pero muy funcional,tienes todo lo necesario y muy limpio.

  Nice & clean apartment very close to city center

  We rented the apartment for 7 nights at the end on January.
  
  It is very close to Rossio Square so it wasn't hard to reach from the aerobus station (5 minutes walking)
  
  The TravelingtoLisbon team is very nice and they gave us all the information we needed, and also a very refreshing Vino Verde bottle as a gift.
  
  The apartment is small but clean, Ikea style decorated. It has a kitchen with everything you need, but we didn't use it.
  
  The only problem it has is the bed that is very noisy and a bit to small for 2 persons.
  
  The apartment is located uphill from Rossio Square and it's hard to reach for persons with disabilities or with small children especially if they need a pram.
  
  On the street from Rossio Sq. to the apartment you have several small shops with everything you need (the fruits are very good and fresh!)
  
  The food in Lisbon is really good, but don't miss the "Chicken with piri piri" at Bonjardim Rei dos Frangos and Casa do Alentejo, both are very close to the apartment. For breakfast there are plenty of coffee shops very close, we especially liked Pastelaria Suiça.

  It's a professionally managed property very close to everything in
  Lisbon. Very clean, well maintained apartment, it's sad we couldn't
  stay a little bit longer. We are already planning for our next visit!
  
  The young and cheerful lady who showed us the apartment was very
  informative and happy to give us every information we need from
  the places to visit, mode of travel, good eating place near by etc etc
  etc. The surprise gift was very thoughtful!
  
  It's a very good value for money and your home away from home.
  The apartment contained everything for a comfortable stay, may be
  the bed could have been a little bit more comfortable. We would

  The young man who met us was incredibly helpful, from
  help on the phone with directions, to dragging my bag
  up the hill to the flat. The flat is small but well
  equipped, although there is no where to dry washing.
  It is very central to all the major squares and
  shopping areas. Downside for the less fit it is up a
  sloping cobbled street. The flat was comfortable,
  warm, quiet and the bed comfortable. As a base to
  explore the delights of Lisbon it was ideal.

  For us, the welcome is really important, so we try to give all the support and information we can.
  The apartment is inside a neighborhood called Pena, 3 minutes away from Rossio Square (walking distance).
  
  Please note that there is a place to dry washing. Take a look into the photo number 13 of our apartment 31 (both in the same building and with the same equipment).
  In our apartment 10 you have a tenter like the one you see inside the tub (upper left).
  It is just necessary that you take the top part of that and place it on the right side of the tub. You will have tenter inside the tub. It was the way we have found to maximize the space.

  Very nice welcome and advices from the staff for visiting, bus schedules, location of supermarkets, etc.
  
  The apartment was small and with Ikea furniture but was comfortable. It was really well-thought for visitors.
  
  Neighborhood was mostly home of African-based immigrants: I was concerned about security at the beginning but it resulted very quiet and peaceful (much more quiet than Barcelona!).
  
  Location very near from the center and ideal for sightseeing by foot.
  
  - : Some small details could be improved: bed was not very comfortable.
  + : Apartment ideal for young couple.
