LondonDelightful experience
Left on 04/06/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We arrived to Lisbon at 10:00 am. One of us was coming from straight from us and was quite tired from a night spent in the plane. Since check-in was supposed to be at 4 pm, we were worried a bit about time that we have to spend dragging around although in the agency through which we rented the place offered to keep our luggage. However, when arrived to the agency to collect keys (agency is a walking distance from the apartment), they told us that the place is ready and we can get in immediately with no extra charges.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished large living room, large kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, all amenities functional, high speed wireless, strong hot shower, hardwood floors everywhere, excellent location - walking distance from most of Lisbon's attractions. Public parking nearby - 5 min walk.
If I go to Lisbon again, I will make sure to stay at this place if it is available. -

BucharestNice apartment but infested with cockroaches. Ttl quickly addres
Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Shortly after arrival, we were overrun by cockroaches. Contacted Travelling to Lisbon who found an alternate, much better apartment for our stay. Ttl also arranged for relocation next day and paid for the taxi fare. Special thanks to Maria for handling the issue.
For this appartment, upon solving the problem with the cockroaches, I would recommend TTL to also have the couch covers cleaned, the lights fixed and dust cleaned, especially from under the beds.
Looking forward for a refund for the first night of stay.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 12/12/2012
Manager
Hope you are all well.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to you..
On behalf of TTL, I wanted to apologise for this unpleasant situation; I have to agree with you: I would not ever want to have to wake up with cockroaches in my bed, as it happened.
However I have to stress, as I told you at the time, that the apartment had had a disinfestation just the week before, as a result of those same previous guests reporting the problem to us; the treatment was even done during their stay, with their agreement. I feel that I need to reiterate this as I would not want you to think that we simply did not deal with the problem;
This is opposite to our attitude and responsibility as managing company and in fact, to be quite honest, it is much more disturbing to our routine and to the property owner as I am sure you can imagine, to have to move guests, lose business, inconvenience you and risk bad reviews, then just deal with the problem.

Left on 06/21/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Very friendly reception by Miguel.First time that we rented an apartment. Will definitely do it again.
Great apt, very well located, tastefully decorated.Only downside was the unpleasant odor at the back of the apt so that we were forced to keep the windows of the kitchen and rear bedroom closed. A couple of fans would have been great. Loved our stay in Lisbon, beautiful city, friendly people, we had a wonderful time. Would stay here again. -

Left on 04/29/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Great Service from TTL. Amazing location. They could have had a few more English TV channels esp. kids programmes, but we did not come to Lisbon for TV. Really lived up to its description.

Left on 03/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Loved our short stay in this apartment right in the centre of Lisbon. Apartment is situated on a pedestrianised street. Really convenient for eating out, shopping and sightseeing. Lift was great for heavy suit cases. The apartment was on the first floor so there was easy access anyway . Lovely bright spacious apartment. I don't know if there is air conditioning - we didn't need it for early spring. Would love to visit Lisbon again. Based on our experience I would highly recommend "TravellingtoLisbon" - they provided a top class service all round.

Left on 11/27/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The service received was excellent -- Mario showed up on time and spent a considerable amount of time showing us how to operate things in the apartment, and gave us maps with recommended places to visit. We found the apartment to be nicely maintained and well situated in the heart of the city. Nice rooms, great amenities, and a good kitchen, though we didn't cook during our 3 night stay. The noise of the restaurants down below was taken care of with earplugs. Pillows are skimpy, flat sheets were missing, and getting internet was delayed due to the absence of wi-fi. But these issues were minor in comparison to the many wonderful qualities of this lovely apartment and the great people at TravelingtoLisbon. Highly recommended.

Fredericton, NB, CanadaA very nice apartment close to major locations and attractions
Left on 10/28/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We found the overall experience with the apartment and the company to be wonderful. We were cordially greeted and given a good explanation/tour of the apartment and what we needed to do. The apartment was very well suited to restaurant areas and the major squares and tourist areas. It was close to shopping, banks, groceries, the trams, the river and really made it easy to get around and enjoy ourselves. The second floor view over the restaurants below combined with street entertainment made for a very pleasant evening. This apartment was just great (we were two couples) and two bathrooms was a real bonus. The apartment was one of the reasons that we view our trip as being successful and hassle free and very enjoyable.

Our stay was wonderful despite the poor weather !

Torino
Turin, ItalyGreat location but smelly apartment
Left on 07/14/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Flat 119 is very nicely furnished and in a great location (Baixa). The downsides are that it is on the first floor of a very old building, right above many restaurants. The smell from the restaurants' kitchens often fills the flat. In addtition the back of the building - where the second bedroom is located - looks extremely run down (there is an empty block of flats, looking very gloomy) and you may feel claustrophobic since we did not dare leaving the window open (all sorts of smells were coming from there!).
If you are renting it for 2 people only, then you can use the bedroom on the front which is much nicer but I would not reccommend it for more than 2 people. Also the general cleaning could improve.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 07/19/2010

Hello C*****,
Thank you for your comments!
Like you say the apartment is located in a restaurant area and sometimes it is impossible to keep the smell out of the apartment if you want to keep the windows open.
The building was renewed a few years ago and there is an elevator also.
We apologize if the cleaning was not perfect.
Obrigado and hope to see you again soon,

Winnipeg, Manitoba CanadaGreat Stay in the Heart of Lisbon
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We stayed 1 week at Apartment #119 with my husbands parents. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equiped. The area is wonderful, very close to trains, trams, and taxi's. The restuarants below are great, and Shakil (from the Italiam restuarant) was exceptional, he has great tips for touring the city, and always took good care of us. The markets are close..and have a good selection of grocery type things and food. Must try the pastry shops!!!
We definitely would love to come back some day. This apartment topped off a wonderful vacation.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 10/23/2009

The apartment was central...that's the operating word here. It was large, tastefully done and airy. The little touches like a bottle of green wine was very welcoming. Begonia was efficient and friendly.
I would recommend the apartment highly.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 10/15/2009

LondonFabulous traditional central apartment
Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in May 2008
We were met a lovely lady who later took us to her favourite little local restaurant and ordered us a fabulous Portugese lunch which we would never have done ourselves - we'd have simply fallen trapped into the restaurants aimed at Tourists so this was a wonderful way to start our stay.
The apartment was great - big, modern yet traditional, very tastefully decorated, comfy beds, all mod cons in the kitchen (great Orange press) - we were all very impressed!
The apartment is so Central, yet quiet at night, perfect location for all sightseeing etc. Plus, the apartment is incredibly good value!Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 08/17/2009

Krakow, PolandNicely decorated comfy apartment in the heart of Lisbon
Left on 08/12/2009 for a stay in August 2008
The service was very convenient, we called 1 hour in advance and the host was there although it took us a bit more to get around by car in Baixa, Lisbon. The wine in a freezer is a really nice welcoming for any traveller in mid summer.
The location could not be better.
The standard of the apartment was quite high. It was definitely newly renowated place with all the equipment you might need (except for dishwasher and air-co, to be precise), furnished with taste.
A restaurant downstairs is a plus when it comes to dining, but a serious disadvantage at night (mostly because of outdoor tables removal at 1am, then garbage at 4am, then deliveries at 6am and outdoor tables again at 8am) - but this is what makes living in the city center so special;-)
Only one door key as for the apartment for six was a bit inconvenient.
We did like the spacious living space and big family table for six, the full bathrooms and the kitchen equipment.
To sum up, we do recommend this place for everyone seeking comfort, nice design and a starting point to explore the attractions of Lisbon day and night.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 08/26/2009

Dear B*********,
Thank you for your review!
Our standards are quite high, so we can provide excellent stays to our guests.
Thank you for the dishwasher and air-co tips (let's see what we can do about them).
Regarding the location, it is completely central. It is really comfortable to have so many restaurants and places to go there, but the noise is also included.
About the keys, we have already changed that:
We give 2 sets of keys to all the apartments with maximum capacity till 6 persons (in some cases we can get more keys) and 3 sets for apartments with capacity for 7 or more.
Thank you for your comments and hope you come back!
Obrigado,

ParisPerfect Location!
Left on 08/12/2009 for a stay in March 2009
I went to Lisbon in March with my mum and sister and we stayed in this appartment which has a great location and is really well equipped. Also handy for being on the first floor.
The only eek we had with the appartment is that in the bedroom beside the front door there is a terrible odour due to the restaurants around the building putting out their rubbish. Obviously made worse when it is hot out.
Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 09/11/2009
Manager
Dear V*******, Thank you for the review! Our apartments are fully equipped, so our guests can have a comfortable stay. This apartment has a central location. The restaurants below have some 'large bins' to put the rubbish inside till the garbage truck takes it away (it is a major street so the garbage is collected everyday). Unfortunately some of them do not follow this.
Thank you and we hope to see you again soon!
Obrigado, TravelingtoLisbon Team
