NordhornWonderful days in Lisbon
Left on 07/14/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Often we have spent some days in Lisbon, but this time we rented that nice apartment. Never before be lived in such nice rooms with the beautiful view all over the city! It was not so easy to climb up the steps to rua costa do castelo meanwhile the temperature was about 37 degrees, but when we sat on the balcony, watching the lights downtown, the planes landing and the stars in the sky, we forgot the efforts and enjoyed the overwhelming view. We felt very well in those tasteful furnishings, only the wish to return next year made parting easier.
Even in the very nice apartment there were panoramic windows, so it will be possible to stay inside when the weather is not as good as we had it.
We can recommend this apartment with a clear conscience to everyone!

There is a lovely view from this apartment. We were very happy here for our
one month stay.
The apartment is well equipped and comfortable, but there is little sound
insulation.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 02/23/2010

We stayed 6 days in an apartment close to the castle. The apartment was clean and in the same condition as it was described in the net. We were receiced by an empoyee from Traveling to Lisbon office as it was promised. There were no problems and everything worked as planned. On the whole, the service can be recommended.

The house was excellent, we were 4 people and had a
great time in the house, the view was dazzling and
made each morning better.
The walk up the hill after a night out could be hard
but the fact that taxis are cheap makes it all
better.
Over all it was a great vacation and that house was
an excellent option.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 12/28/2009

The Agency TravelingtoLisbon was very helpful and attentive from the very moment of booking till the very end of our stay in Lisbon. Here are our special thanks to all pelple envolevd. The apartment found out to be great for a continuous and realxed stay (we stayed two weeks) as it had everything one might desire and even more. The magnificent view from the balcony payed for long way up the hill. Which trip we took with pleasure, by the way, "tasting" the very aura of the old city.
Cars passing by the side where the bedrooms were , made nighs somehow noisy, but it would be true only with pepole who like to sleep with all windows open (like we).
We spent two splendid weeks, thank you one more time.

We stayed in this fantatic during our recent short trip to Lisbon. The apartment was fantastic, so clean, modern and cosy. We arrived at nightime and were unsure how far from the centre we were but come day light we realsied we were only a ten minute walk (1,000 steps later)

bentondorman@yahoo.comGreat apartment, grumpy neighbor
Left on 08/15/2009 for a stay in April 2009
The apartment is wondeful! It's cute, clean and centrally located. Everything was in there that we needed including a washer and an expresso machine. We simply loved it and would definately recommend it to a friend.
Getting there is a bit of a treck and it's better if you can make it up the tall hill without a car. Parking is impossible. Once you get in the apartment, the view is to die for!
The only negative part of the apartment is the downstairs neighbor is VERY grumpy and he came upstairs to threatening to call the police because we were making too much noise. So if you stay here, just make sure you aren't making too much noise.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 08/27/2009

Hello O*****,
Thank you for your review.
Apartment 56 is a really nice apartment, fully equipped and with a large and comfortable living room!
It is really difficult to get there with a car because the access is restricted. Taxis are allowed to pass and a small number of cars too, but no more than that. If possible, do not arrive by car.
The view is absolutely gorgeous.
The apartments are in residential areas, so the quiet time is between 22pm and 8am.
Thank you and hope you to come back!

Ottawa, CanadaThe only way to experience Lisboa
Left on 08/12/2009 for a stay in May 2009
From arrival at the apartment everything was perfect. The staff was there ahead of us, gave us a wonderful overview of the area, how to get around locally. Even during the week when I emailed them questions, they always had an answer.
The apartment was fabulous. It was recently renovated, exactly as shown on the web site. Modern, clean, comfortable. No air conditioning, so plan around time of year. It was great in May. Even still, it's right in the heart of old Lisboa. Couldn't ask for better. Walking distance from Sao Jorge, many local restaurants, most major areas of Lisboa. Apartment does not have parking if you rent a car anyway.
In spite of the stairs to get to Martim-Monnex it was still a great location. Lisboa is so rich with history you have to see the city by walking and meeting the locals anyway. We were probably more fit afterwards, so you can't beat it.
Generally you probably don't even need a car with the Lisboa pass and local transportation (bus, tram, etc.). We did rent a car for a couple of day trips, but the more adventurous could take the train. For everything else we walked or used our pass - it was great. Just plan on how many days you need the pass.
Best part was walking back from dinner one night, we stumbled across an archaeological dig in the middle of town. Dated back to 54AD when the Roman's were there. That's the kind of thing you run across, something to discover around every corner.
The only thing we didn't like was, we could have stayed longer ;-) Can't wait to come back.

Dear Mark and Sue,
Thank you for your review and suggestions!
One of most important thing for us (besides the quality of the apartments, of course) is to provide a friendly welcome and to support our guests during their stay.
Lisbon has very good public transport connections, that would easily take you to the most know areas.
It is not very easy to drive a car in Lisbon. We recommend that you walk and use public transport.
Thank you for your words and hope you come back soon!
