Apartment number 84 is located in the old city centre, at Chiado/Bairro Alto - place where a large part of the cultural, gastronomic and nightlife of Lisbon takes place.

It is a wonderful design apartment in the second floor of a renovated building in old historic Lisbon, perfect for people willing to be surrounded by art (the owner is a painter) while being in the heart of the sophisticated neighborhoods of Chiado and Bairro Alto.

There are tree public car parks within 3 minutes walking distance.

It is a 80 m2 apartment, on the second floor (no elevator!), that has been renovated to include the following:

*

one... big living room with dining and sitting areas (double sofa-bed ), satellite TV, and DVD player;

*

one bedroom with double bed (160 cm);

*

complete kitchen with a washing machine, electric oven and gas stove, microwave, fridge with freezer and everything else you could need;

*

a bathroom with bathtub.

The apartment has broad band wireless internet connection.

The sleeping room has air conditioned for cold and warm.

We will welcome you with a bottle of typical Portuguese wine.

By day, it is a quiet sleepy area (recently pedestrianised); by night the area comes alive and is a popular place to dine and drink away the early hours.

Apartment number 84 is located at Rua Nova da Trindade, the street where the centenary "cervejaria" (beer house) Trindade is. There are several other apartments at Bairro Alto.

The flat is located at the side of largo do Carmo at Chiado, near a lot of trendy shops, two minutes walking to café Brasileira, very close to several museums, operas (S. Carlos), theatres (S. Luis) and churches and also to all the restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto where the sentimental 'fados' are still sung in certain restaurants and cafés. It is also 5 minutes walking to Rossio, the centre of Baixa, rebuilt after the earthquake of 1775.

For those who like dining and nightlife, the entrance to Bairro Alto, with its plethora of bars and restaurants for all budgets, is just a short walk away. One of Lisbon's quirkiest cafés, the Pavilhão Chinês, is about 2 minutes across the street, and this area of Lisbon is lucky enough to have lots of restaurants for outdoor dining, in particular the excellent Terra vegetarian restaurant.

For children, they can spend hours playing on the Praça Principe Real, while the wide pavements outside the apartments link directly to the formal gardens and park at the Miradouro, which offer ample space to run around.

Nearby you have the underground (Baixa-Chiado), and 15 minutes walking you access the train station (Cais do Sodré) to Cascais and all the beaches around. It is also close to shops, restaurants, cafés, banks, cash machines, public transport (inc subway Baixa/Chiado station and electric trams) 24 hour taxi stands, etc.

The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport at 12 kilometres; the nearest railway station is International Station of Santa Apolónia at 1 kilometre.

  Apartment is in a great location - close to restaurants, bars and nightlife, as well as shops and museums. We were warned in advance that the apartment is up a hill, so were prepared for that.
  
  We were told to call one hour in advance of arrival, which is slightly tricky when arriving by plane. When we rang, it was suggested we have dinner and he would meet us in a couple of hours, which was not really acceptable. In the end, he came sooner, but we were left hanging around for luggage for some time. it was explained there were a lot of check-ins that evening, but I would have thought they would have anticipated this and planned for it.
  
  Overall, the apartment was as expected. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot, etc. There were quite a few lightbulbs out, but nothing major.

  The biggest problem here is the noise. A short ways from here is the party district in Lisbon. People are out till the wee hours every night, making lots of noise. The windows in this apartment are very cheap and do not block any noise. When fastened, one can move them quite a lot and they provide little seal to the outside. (In the winter, I am sure it is quite drafty.) Therefore, the noise from the street below is like it is right in your room. If you sleep like a log, regardless of what else is going on, this may not be a problem.
  
  Also, the living room furniture is very cheap. They could spend a little more rather than using the equivalent of lawn furniture.

  We would highly recommend this location, the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful (with great local restaurant recommendations), and made our short stay well worthwhile.
  
  Don't delay, book now - the main picture doesn't do the location justice. It's actually an open piazza with a very chilled out atmosphere (the picture makes it look like a car park)

  Das Apartment ist perfekt gelegen, um die Viertel Chiado und Bairro Alto zu erreichen. Die U-Bahn ist vielleicht 5 Minuten entfernt. Das Viertel Chiado ist sehr zu empfehlen, weil die Touristenabzocke im Bairro Alto im vollen Gange ist. Drogen und Alkohol sind dort allgegenwärtig.
  Die Wohnung bietet alles, was man braucht. Schön wäre es, wenn die Tür zur Toilette verschließbar wäre. Es gibt nur einen mehr oder minder funktionierenden Schnappverschluss.
  Das beste war, dass man bei dem gräßlichen Regenwetter WLAN hatte und zumindest arbeiten konnte.

  Nous avons passé 5 jours très très agréables à fin juillet grâce à l'agencement et à la localisation de cet appartement. les épiceries dans les coins de rues, les musées non loin et les concerts sur les places environnantes, tout ce qu'il faut pour se sentir au coeur de Lisbonne, Bairo alto. L'unité du mobilier moderne et sobre avec ses finesses (lumières réglables, tableaux) et l'équipement de la cuisine étaient juste très bienvenus. Pour la voiture, il vaut mieux décharger et garer plus bas, sur les quais. L'arrêt des taxis sont à côté de l'appartement.

  The flat was excellent, clean, modern, big, perfect for a long or short stay. Everything
  you need is there and in very good condition- esp the kitchen, bathroom, tv, DVD etc.
  It's in a great position for those wanting to explore the city and this is far better than a
  hotel. I stayed for 5 days and it was more like a home from home, I actually feel as if
  I briefly lived there! The staff are great and can give you plenty of pointers and help,
  they even have a helpline in case you need urgent help. I'd also suggest you ask
  them to book you a taxi, Lisbon is hilly and a cab will take you straight to your door.
  This is a great service, which I'd highly recommend, I will definately be returning to
  Lisbon as will also try some of the other cities they offer apartments in.

  Thank you for such a wonderful apartment, so centrally located and such groovy decor! We were met by Phillipe on arrival who explained everything excellantly and I felt happy that there was someone there to call on if the need arose (which it didn't). isbon is a great place for a holiday and there was plenty to see and do, the public transport is just great. I will return and when I do I will definitely get an apartment again.Cheers!

  Very nice place with lot of space for two people, well furnished, very modern. A great situation just near of Barrio Alto, nice place to take a dinner or have a drink. Very close you'll find the city center (Rossio) just "a few" stairs down, and Chiado, very good place for shopping, very close too.

  It was a lovely stay in a beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment, it was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything one could ask for. A home from home in the heart of the arty quarter close to the city centre...lots oflovely shops, resturants nearby....the girl who met us gave a thorough presentation of all that was available locally...I would recommend the whole experience to anyone who wanted a visit to Lisbon.
