      Two weeks in Lisbon

Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012

For two weeks our family, which included two girls aged 25 & 22 enjoyed a wonderful experience. Our hosts Miguel and his sister Mafalda were absolutely perfect . Miguel was always prompt to reply to my endless email questions.Mafalda and her charming partner Francisco were totally amazing and greeted us upon arrival, walked us around the labyrinth of narrow streets to orientate ourselves, and even drove us to the fresh markets the next morning.
We relaxed into the Lisbon way of life quickly, this meant walking everywhere, eating amazing Portuguese pastries, drinking superb wine, watching sunsets from a gorgeous hilltop cafe/ bar, eating very late. The girls enjoyed the bar atmosphere in the late evenings, and found it very safe compared to Sydney nightlife.
Driving the narrow streets around the Lisbon centre was very hectic for us as the lanes were intensely narrow, only one way, and hectic, the car navigating device was the only saviour, but even then we did make many directional errors. Parking was available very close by and it was secure, undercover and 24 hours. Brilliant. We only used the car for day trips out of Lisbon, otherwise it would stay in the parking for over 24 hours, which was no problem, very inexpensive rates.
Mafalda had even arranged for the cleaners to arrive half way through our stay. They were so efficient, ( even folded clothes).
Our only complaint would have been that the beds were very firm, however, that could be a personal preference.
We left wanting more time as there were so many things to enjoy.

      Very charming house

Left on 11/24/2012 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed here for 4 nights in November 2012. I was worried if we will be cold because the house does not have central heating but house turned to be quite worm and comfortable. Place is well located on about 20 minutes walk to Rossio and I would recommend it to anyone who needs 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms (+ one extra social toilet) in Lisbon. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped too so you will have everything you need.
Wi-fi works excellent and it is free of charge.
If I would have to point out some small details we would prefer to be different: mirrors in the bathroom should be fixed a bit higher, I think there is no proper kitchen knife in the house and... I can not thing of any other "problem". I would recommend this place to anyone.

      Faultless week in Lisbon

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Our experience, from enquiry to checking out was faultless. Miguel went out of his way to make the process as straightfroward as possible (including the payment of the deposit via PayPal). Miguel also provided us with a map of important amenities locally as well some sight seeing advice. Miguel is readibly accessible via email.

We were personally greeted when we arrived despite our flight being delayed by 2 hours and reaching the house close to midnight.

The house itself is in very good condition and located just aroundthe corner from parliament! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. There are 2 small supermarkets a short walk away. The hot water is hot whenever needed and there were plently of fans avaialble to help cool off in the afternoons.

The tram and buses pass nearby and taxis can be hailed from outside parliament. The nearest metro station, Rato, is a bit more of a walk away (15 mins).

All in all a thoroughly pleasant experience.

      Home away from home

Left on 08/07/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The house is in a great location in Lisbon, the street where it is located is very quiet. It is well equipped for families. I believe the house is really charming as it was described on the website. Miguel (the owner) is a very helpful person, he sent us lots of useful information about Lisbon a week before arriving. I can't fault the house. We had a fantastic time there and I recommend it to couples and families.

An enchanting stay at a cozy mix&match; house

Left on 08/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Somehow hotels never feel like home, that's why I always opt for such rentals. And this particular vivacious house has everything : very kind and welcoming owners ,beautiful decor , great location, not to mention crystal-cleanliness and an optimal equipment assortment.
I would recommend it for anybody, but especially for larger families or groups, as it can very comfortably house up to eight people.
All in all, a memorable stay !

This lodging is everything it promised and much more.
The place is absolutely charming, clean, spacious and has everything to enjoy comfortable stay. I can not say enough good about it.
It is centrally located and is possible to walk anywhere in central Lisbon.
The host has put together little brochure write up about neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores and points of interest and a map of the locality. We highly recommend this place to anyone

      As its title...charming house...

Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The house is cosy and big enough for 6-8 people traveling to Lisbon. The living room is fantastic for chatting, watching a movie, enjoy some Porto wine and, despite we did not use it, there is a charming fireplace for winter days.

Charming, well equipped, central and quiet ... ideal !

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012

It was great to have our own cosy place in the center of Lisbon. We stayed here for a month, for business purposes : it's a lot better than a hotel ! Easy to just pass by at the end of the day, get rid of the work, and wander through the maze of Lisbon's narrow streets, exploring bars and restaurants. Or, just staying "at home", cooking our own meal in the well equipped kitchen.

The house is spacious, having two showers and three toilets, which is very convenient for daily life. The immediate neighbourhood is quiet, so no need to worry about good sleep, yet everything one needs is within walking distance. Only minus : the house is a bit dark, but I guess this might be an advantage if one is staying during the summer.

Good service, plenty of information about the neighbourhood and the Lisbon area provided by the owners, who really wanted to let us have a pleasant stay and responded quickly to any questions/requests.
