parisUn appartement très sympathique et quelle vue !
Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in May 2013

Good service and explanation of appartment and the area. Nice appartment, well situated, close to city activity and restaurants. Amazing view of the City!
The appartment was missing a few items like: not enough towels, cloths, no soap. Otherwise very good.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 01/16/2013

Montpellier, FranceUne vue fantastique
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Just below the Castle with local bars, restaurant, arts centre and supermarket all within easy walking distance, this apartment was great for a first time visitor to the city. The accommodation was also very comfortable and exceeded expectations. A perfect place to stay with exceptional service form Traveling to Lisbon.

SeattleWe loved this apartment!
Left on 11/06/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We had 3 days in Lisbon before joining an organized tour, and loved using the apartment as our base. The location could not be more beautiful, and I read Jose Saramago's novel "The History of the Siege of Lisbon" while looking out over the historic part of Lisbon where it was set. We will certainly try to rent this same apartment if/when we return to Lisbon.

Left on 10/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011
1 week in august - family with 2 kids (5 and a half and 2 and a half).
The apartment is very nice, large and comfortable for 4 people (2 bedrooms). The view is amazing and we spent a lot of time especially in the evening when the cildren were sleeping only looking at the sun going down behind the barrio alto and at the different colours of the sky.
The location is very good; quite area close to rossio and to the castle / alfama. If you travel with children it is good to come back home using the minibus to the castle avoiding the stars and the climning street. Check in was very weel prepared and the service was really ok. Excellent quality price ratio. -

Anyone would love this apartment, with its spectacular view over the city. The area was quiet but not at all isolated, and it was an easy (though vertical) walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The interior was spacious, well laid out and very comfortable. We hope to come back.

Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed here for a week in early September, everything was just great. The representative was there to meet us and had been checking out everything in the apartment, she found that the TV was not functioning properly and spent about 30-40 minutes working on it, calling for help and only left when it was ok. The climb from Rossio is possible in 5-10 minutes but that is non stop stair climbing. Taking it easy with the odd refreshment stop on the way is nicer and the little family owned restaurants one street below are worth a look. However you get up to the apartment it is worth it, the view is just great we spent every evening sipping a drink looking about as the sun went down before we went out and looking at the stars when we came back. We have already recommended it to friends.

Left on 03/01/2011 for a stay in February 2011
The appartment quickly became a home from home. Easy to live in. Planning how to get into town and back to the appartment was a satisfying daily challenge.
Three tips - to shop for food themain street of the Gra?a district is only a short, scenic walk.
The restaurant Farol de Santa Luzia - Portugese cooking for local people - friendly and excellent. I discovered that I have a lot of enjoyable studying to do - the wine list was extensive and I know little or nothing about Portugese wine. The waiters reccomendations were superb and reasonably priced - no rip-offs
If on the day you are leaving you have a flight in the late afternoon/early evening keep the visit to Oceanaria for the last day. Take a taxi to Oriente station, where there is an automatic baggage deposit. Then walk through the shopping mall (the Fnac has a big choice of Fado CDs) to the Oceanaria, the restaurants etc. The aquarium is well presented. The big advantage of doing this is it offers a solution to what to do with the baggage, and the airport is only a few minutes away.
Only criticism - didn't find a way to watch the rugby matches. Bbc on cable would make the place perfect.

We enjoyed very much our stay in Lisbon and the lovely view of
Apartment 47. Lisbon is not new to us: I lived here one year in
Principe Real. We decided to stay in Castelo since is a quiet zone
with the better view of Lisbon although is quite unconfortable for
transports. The apartment is very nice, clean and fully equipped. The
staff is very gentle and professional. Also, we loved digital sat-tv
and free internet. We return often in town and for sure we will book
again this apartment.

apartment 47Central, but quiet and so magic!
Left on 09/16/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We have been well received by Filippe, very nice guy who helped us to carry our luggage, because it's impossible to park in the street. This appartment is very nice, very clean. Close to everything, very central, it's also quiet. All you need is good legs to climb the 246 steps from the city center to the apartment. The magical thing is the view all over Lisbonn: early in the morning the light is beautiful and during the night, it's magic. Just seat there and enjoy...

Dear Y******,
Thank you for the review!
The street where the apartment is located is close to the Castle (so, it is on a high place), but I did not have any idea of the number of steps!! Amazing!
Once you are there, Lisbon is on your feet. It is superb!
Thank you and we hope to see you again soon!

Really enjoyed the stay at the apartment.
Fantastic view, romantic location, and great apartment.
It was a little chilly for breakfast on the balcony but we both braved the winds because of the view right down onto central Lisbon.
When I visit Lisbon again, this apartment will be my top choice - well worth the hike up and down each day.

We were met by a knowledgeable staff member upon our arrival. The apartment is impeccable, including all amenities one could possibly need. It is located in a quiet building. The view, of course, is unbeatable, and likely one of the very best in all of Lisbon. The location also is convenient, yet a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. We liked absolutely everything about it and would come back anytime.

We had a great stay in this apartment. It's clean, big, stylish, there is everything you might need and even more (like a bottle of wine and fado's Cds). And we had the best view of Lisbon. Every evening we were seating on the balcony, drinking vino Verde, listening to Portuguese music. The only one problem - you have to climb a lot!

First of all - amazing view! It was really worth climbing thousands of stairs, almost at the top of the castle hill (bear that in mind, if you have any problems with walking). We would have only one suggestion to the landlords of the apartment: think about moving the sofa in the sitting room to the oposite wall. From that place one could admire the view over the bay, Chiado district and Rossio square, which are far more beautiful than the eastern parts of the city.
The apartment itself - very comfortable, perfectly clean and very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our 10-day stay, even CDs with fado music and a greeting bottle of vinho verde in the fridge...
The neighbourhood very quiet, no noisy groups of drunk tourists at night, no buses behind the window. Just a few steps from the castle and a short (but quite tiring - stairs!) walk to the Rossio square. Everything we wanted to see was within a walkind distance.
We had a great time there!Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 08/17/2009

We were really positively surprised about the apartment and its location – even
though we more or less knew what to expect. Nice, clean and spacious
apartment with cozy local feeling and just amazingly beautiful views over the
city. Not for disabled travellers, though: there's more than 200 steps from/to
Chiado. Didn't bother us at all, however. Very nice restaurant nearby named
Chapitó. Extra thanks to Travelling To Lisbon, we got excellent, very friendly
service from the company during the reservation process and actual stay.Response from Traveling to Lisbon - 08/27/2009
