This apartment is located right in the heart of alfama, the beautiful centre of old Lisbon. It is located in a quiet back street just around the corner from a range of original local cafés, restaurants and bars run by the friendly, relaxed but respectful people of this beautiful city. The apartment has everything you need, is beautifully renovated and spacious. The staff are super-friendly and do everything to make your stay a success. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in alfama

My friend and I stayed at the Travessa II for four days in October 2013. The apartment is located in alfama famous for its fado houses, which were just minutes walk from the apartment. We were checked in by Sandra who was very friendly and helpful - she gave us a map of Lisbon with her scribbles of which train to take, what to see, where to eat and shop. The two bedrooms were spacious. The main light in the bathroom and the cabinet door under the kitchen sink weren't working, but Sandra reported them and got them fixed for us in no time. Overall, a lovely stay in Lisbon.
p.s. there is a steep climb to get to the apartment from the train station. The climb should only take 10mns and more pleasant without luggage.
Great and Beautiful apartment

The Stay was fantastic beautiful apartment, the location was spot on and the information provided in the folder was five star services. The only comment I have about the stay is when i booked the apartment I understood they will be someone changing the leaning during the stay but this was not the case, and it didn't affected our stay but I thought I should raise it. The entire staff member I encounter was fantastic. I should also mention the promptness of the response in your email I was very impress. Once again thank you very much for the great experience.

We stayed at Travessa II in august and were so impressed with the welcome we received from the Heart and Soul team. The Welcome Pack really gave us all the information we needed to make the most of our 5 days. The appartment was very clean and in the best location for sampling alfama and its historical charm. We want to return to Lisbon when it is cooler as the heat made sight- seeing harder. We would definitely use Heart and Soul again as thir team rep gave up so much of his time to ensure our stay was fulfilling. Thank you for your hospitality !

Lovely appartment in the historic medival district of alfama in Lisbon. Excellent customer service, with someone waiting at time of arrival, assistance with luggage, great orientation overview and a binder of what to see and where to eat in Lisbon. The appartment is quite small, but very functional, upgraded and comfortable. Only downside was no aC as it was 40 C for the days we were there! If you are driving, parking is a bit of an issue as it is in a restricted driving area. Overall, a far better value than hotel with an opportunity to stay in the historic centre.

We stayed for one week at the Travessa II, and had a great time. Our purpose for staying there was primarily for its central location, and it worked out perfectly. We were within walking distance to everything happening in Lisbon for the June festivities. We could not have been more pleased with the apartment's central location. The apartment itself was adequately clean and comprehensively equipped with necessities and conveniences ranging from toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, hairdryer to kitchen equipment for making coffee and tea (we never used), as well as good wifi in the living room. Hot water never failed, and if we had a request it would be for the shower head to be fixed, because the water sprayed all over the place from the hose and the fixture. Thank you to Sandra who kindly gave us excellent advice and recommendations for sites and transportation around Lisbon. In just one week, which included 3 national holidays, we went to the Discoveries monument, Torre the Belem, Jeronimos, Elevator of Sta Justa, Castelo the S. Jorge, The Ocionario, the Science Museum, rode the cable cars along the Tagus, shopped in Chiado, Russio, Bairro alto ate at several seafood restaurants, one of which was in Rua d'Augusta "Concha d'Ouro" which was excellent!!! We also walked to the various Plazas -- Camoes, Carmo, and Commercio. We even walked to the Portuguese Parliament, which is also a must see. One place we did not see any advertised, but is just around the corner from the Taverssa II is the Military Museum, which is another must see. Overall, the apartment is well-managed and we can recommend it without hesitation. Thank you.

If you are looking for a great apartment in a quiet historic area, Travessa II is for you. I took my 2.5year old and almost 16 year old daughter for a 10 day trip and we loved it. You get to experience Lisbon like the locals do.
Fatima, Goncalo, & crew are extremely helpful and gracious hosts. Their advice was not only useful, but added value to the stay. Their attentiveness to our needs and the upkeep of the apartment is first class.
Located in the heart of alfama, but easy access considering the hilly nature of the neighborhood, the apartment has all the amenities you could hope for including a laundry machine (which was a great plus with 2 daughters/one who just started toilet training;). Extremely comfortable for relaxing, cooking, sleeping, or just hanging out listening to the sounds of the neighborhood, Travessa II exceeded our expectations.
Excellent site in alfama

Removed these apartments in January, 2013. Are located on one of the most interesting streets of old Lisbon, the region of alfama. The proximity of local cafes and small restaurants is very convenient where execute ????! Close to metro station both railway station and stops of public transport. 5 minutes to the well-known 28th tram. The cozy, well issued apartment with small minuses:
- there is a dampness smell,
- all equipment electric therefore it is necessary if everything is included at once - works an electric safety lock,
- the terrace shown on the picture of advertizing = this bottom of "well" of walls of the next houses and there it isn't so cozy.
As a whole I left quite good impression, the main thing to compare the prices.

Beautiful appartement in excellent location in alfama. Unbelievably well equipped! Precisely everything could be found in the appartment, from dishwasher to coffeemachine, just everything! very tasteful and wonderful furniture! Really unbelievable to find such a nice spot. Onyl little thing, one of the bedrooms smelled a bit humid, which was even increased dur to the heavy rain one day. other than that: wonderful!!

After two delayed flights and arriving at a totally different time than when we were expected, my family and I received a kind and gracious welcome. Someone was at the apartment when we got there and helped carry in our bags. The location is great. It is a 3 minute walk from the metro/train station. It is a 15/20 minute walk to the heart of Baxia if you stroll. We found several lovely restaurants in a 5 minute walkThe apartment looks exactly like the pictures, though I think the first bedroom is actually bigger than it appears (a baby bed fit easily in there). The apartment was very clean. It was comfortably sized for a family of four.

We enjoyed each day of our holidays. Thanks to Fatima, Paula and Eduardo and others for a great service. We felt like home in Travessa II. The flat is right in the middle of alfama which is a very nice and interesting area from Lisbon. Travessa II is perfect located. Near by is appolonia Station from where you can easily take the underground or different busses. There is also a very good assorted super market to find. We wold like to come back one day.
