The apartment is full of character and charm, with a lovely outlook onto the water. We were a group of 8, including children, and the space was adequate. The photos are an accurate representation. Our hosts provided prompt, efficient and friendly service. The location is very good, easy for walking and public transport, as well as for regional trains. I highly recommend this apartment.

Agent: Heart & Soul Lisbon was very professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with.
Apartment: Very nicely furnished, with modern amenities. Bright front bedrooms and living area. Nice view of water. Bathrooms were clean, modern. Bedrooms were on the smaller side. We had four adults and four kids. Bedroom 1: full size bed. Bedroom 2: 2 twin beds pushed together. Bedroom 3: full size bed, faced busy inner street. Bedroom 4: 2 twin beds, no windows (we put the kids in there). Kitchen was small but functional. There is no elevator to the 3rd floor. The hallway is not well lit, so be careful if you have elderly or very young children.
Location: Easy to get to various points of interest by foot. Very close to the Fado Museum. It was great to have an apartment where the locals live because you get a great flavor of Lisbon. The alfama is one of the oldest parts of town, so while the inside of the apartment is nice and modern, the buildings in the area are older and less maintained than other parts of the city. But we always felt safe.
A word about the noise: bring earplugs if you are noise sensitive when you sleep. There is a Fado bar/restaurant a few doors down and the singing and talking can be heard pretty well in the apartment. The trash collectors come every day at exactly 12:30 am. The metal doors of the businesses on the street close at around that time as well. In short, it was very difficult to sleep the first night because the street amplified all the noise. Even the back bedroom was a little noisy with sounds of locals going to and fro. We got used to the noise by our third night there.
Overall, the apartment itself was great and fit 8 people nicely. I would have given this a 4 if it weren't for the noise.
Also please note: If you take a cab from the airport, it should cost you no more than 15 euro. Be careful of cab drivers that rip you off because one overcharged me by a lot when I rode with my family from the airport to the apartment.

The perfect location, wonderful support from the Heart and Soul Personnel, lots of room for all 6 ladies, right in the heart of all the alfama area has to offer. The only negative was the amount of noise very late into the night...but this was because we needed to leave all the windows open because of the warm temperature.
Would we come back to Remedios III. Absoutely!!
Beautiful well kept with wonderful view of the Tagus river

We stayed in this lovely 4 bedroom apt for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and the alfama district. The apt had everything you need for daily living and there are also many restaurants within a few steps of your front door. It is close to everything in and around Lisbon. The Metro, Bus and Train are within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this apt. Just a note that there are 63 steps up and no elevator.

Great place with wonderful views of the river, well located near the castle and in the heart of alfama. The apartment was ideal for our group of eight people. We made use of the washing machine and hung out laundry to dry. We found markets and bakeries nearby for wonderful breakfasts and snacks. We visited during the Feast of Saint anthony, so there was lots of activity in alfama. Running the supplied fans in each bedroom allowed us to sleep well even when the party continued outside our windows. The other nights were calm and the neighborhood quiet (when not in the midst of the celebration).
Filipe and Goncalo met us for check-in and check-out exactly when expected, and the materials in the apartment from Heart & Soul Lisbon included many helpful suggestions for restaurants, markets, etc. near the apartment. Overall a great stay. We highly recommend Remedios III!

If you are looking for something a bit away from the hustle of the town center, and something for an extended family short stay (3 to 4 days), this is a nice apartment. This is a short walk to the train/metro station (with a grocery inside). It is located on one of those cobblestone, narrow, charming streets of the old part of Lisbon 2 streets from the water (though no swimming in this area of the coast, more business and several abandoned buildings along the coast..such potential). The check in and check out was smooth.. you will have a binder full of information about the area. It was a nice start to our european trip.
Beautiful, full climate space that met all our expectations

-contact was good and consistent with the description on the web.
-the apartment is very functional, well equipped, clean, with comfortable beds. Home is nicely designed.
-the location is ideal. Near the subway, train, bus and tram. Next to the house bakery, market, cafe. The description on the Internet is accordance with reality.
-Most liked the location in a beautiful, old, full climate alfama.

Great apartment with lovely views. Great welcome from 'Heart and Soul Lisboa ' good helpful information and explanation.( Pay attention to the good advice about taxi's ,you recieve before you leave the airport!) We felt in the heart of the city with plenty on the door step to see and do but the apartment was also a relaxing place to read a book and rest our feet. Lisbon it's self was a great destination for a holiday plenty to do,lots of atmosphere and warm friendly helpful people. The only reason we have not given an excellent was the apartment needs a few more quality pans/ knives/ chopping boards ect for people who like to cook.

All our bookings were done by email and everything went smoothly. One of our party had an accident 10 days before we were due to arrive and had to have an operation which resulted in him having to wear a leg brace. He also needed a wheelchair which was organised by the owners and was in the apartment when we arrived. Although there was no lift he did manage the stairs slowly.
We were met on arrival and given all the infomation we needed. We also had help in contacting the airline over our disabled passenger and ordering taxi's for the early return journey.
The beds were clean and fresh, the three bathrooms were immaculate as was the rest of the apartment.
The location for us was perfect,in the old quarter and close to all transport. The views from the apartment over the Tagus were excellent.
In the street were several lovely small restaurants serving great Portuguese food. For 10 of us we never paid more than 175 euros for the whole meal including starters and drinks. You must try the Dorada a superb grilled fish dish.
The only difficulty we had was with on the footpaths, they are not good for wheelchairs.
