The palace consists of a set of noble houses also called the Palace of St. Stephen. It is located in the urban characteristics which is the medieval Alfama district in Lisbon.
Located within the historical district of Lisbon, within walking distance from the city center, access can be made by tram, metro, bus or on foot, since access by car is restricted. It was just what we were looking for, walking distance to all the attractions and excellent restaurants close by. The neighbours were friendly especially Maria at the bottom of the stairs. The location would not be appropriate for anyone who cannot climb stairs or walk up hills. You cannot drive to the door if you have a car but a taxi can. However, you still have 2 flights to the apartment.
We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment.

What a wonderful way to visit Portugal for the first time. Maria & Pedro were wonderful and made everything so easy from picking up at the airport to suggestions and tips for places to eat and visit. Wandering the streets of alfama we became familiar with many of the shopkeepers and neighbors.
We were 4 single women and this was perfect set up with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Highly recommend this property, only draw back was it is noisy on Saturday night. Parties went on to wee hours of morning, but it did sound like fun.
