Saint Louis, MissouriGood location. That's about it.

I really wanted to like this house. The pictures were great, and the location seemed perfect. The house is at the end of a subdivision street on Little Torch Key. The home is literally right on the water with a beautiful view, which is the only really good point about the place. The home is not well kept at all. There are literally clumps of dirt on all of the ceiling fans. The closets are packed with junk and dirt. The ancient washing machine is sitting on blocks in a stuffed utility closet, and the whole house shakes when it runs. The dryer is actually on the back porch in a little closet with no door on it. The roof is caved in, so the dryer just sits out in the rain. It actually works well when it’s not raining! Make sure you jiggle the toilet handle, or it will run constantly. Ants are everywhere. Deadbolt on the front door is broken, so I hope you feel safe with a flimsy handle lock. Deck shakes when you walk on it, and the wood is rotting so it’s splinter city if you’re not careful. There is a kayak, which is nice. The neighbor’s house sits about 30 feet away, and they keep their place up really well and seem like nice people. There about 10 rusty bikes thrown under the house, none of which worked until we bought a can of Wd-40 and were able to transfer parts until we got two semi-working bikes. Looks like someone threw up in the nightstand drawer and never cleaned it up. Dishes were all dirty, but we washed them before using. Rental agents were hard to contact throughout the process.
All in all, Little Torch Key is really a wonderful place. We rented this house because we intended to cook dinners instead of dining out in order to save money. We ended up only eating cereal for breakfast and dining out the rest of the time because we just did not want to be in the house any longer than we needed to. I’ve stayed in cheap motels all over the place, so I don’t consider myself a picky traveler. Bottom line, stay in Little Torch Key for serenity. It’s close to so many different things – Key West, Bahia Honda State Park, 7-mile bridge, Turtle Hospital, Big Pine Key Deer Refuge, etc. If you do choose to stay on Little Torch Key, I would recommend finding a better house.
