Brief Description: Suce Creek Cabin is a rare find with it’s historic cabin, beautiful restoration, tasteful antiques, creek, trees and privacy. Pretty much what we all think of when we dream of a Montana cabin. All this and it’s just a short drive to

the restaurants and galleries of Livingston. I...t is a wonderful spot for a small group.

Bedrooms and baths: There are two bedrooms on the second floor of the original cabin. With the windows open, the sound of Suce Creek will lull you to sleep from either bedroom. One room has a very comfortable queen size bed and the other has a full size

bed. They share an attached bath with both a stall shower and an antique claw foot tub. There is a second half bath on the main floor of the home. Don’t forget the teepee by the creek for a night or two!

Kitchen: A simple looking but completely modern kitchen graces the main level of the cabin. A beautiful French gas range and oven are an obvious centerpiece. Other amenities include a Miele dishwasher, an oversized side by side Northland refrigerator

and a microwave oven. The kitchen has double doors that open to the back yard. On chilly mornings you’ll enjoy making a fire in the majestic wood cook stove.

Dining area: The dining room enjoys one side of the massive rock wood fireplace and has a beautiful old table that will seat six comfortably. The dining room also has double doors to the yard. In the kitchen is a small table that seats two for coffee.

Living room: The living room is a two-story addition to the main house, with a cathedral ceiling and outer walls of stone. The massive rock fireplace is the centerpiece of this very comfortable room which, like the kitchen and dining room, opens up to

the back yard.

Setting, acreage, and views: The cabin sits on five very private acres with Suce Creek making an oxbow turn through the land. The home sits in a small meadow and is backed by the acres of cottonwood trees that line Suce Creek. From the cabin you have

views of Livingston Peak and the nearby foothills.

Outdoor Amenities: Sit on the cozy covered back porch and enjoy the sound of Suce Creek in the woods. Walk down a mowed path to the creek and to the twenty foot tall teepee “guest room” which you can sleep out in a night or two if you’re adventuresome

or simply hang out with a good book in one of the Adirondack chairs strategically set by the creek.

Activities nearby: From the cabin it’s a pretty 10 minute drive into Livingston where you’ll find surprisingly good restaurants and art galleries. In the other direction is the tiny community of Pine Creek with fun little Pine Creek Café. Hiking the

many trails in the Absaroka Mountains (Suce Creek trailhead is just up at the end of your road) and fishing on the Yellowstone River just a few miles away and on the nearby spring creeks. A beautiful 50 minute drive up the Paradise Valley delivers you to Yellowstone

National Park. There’s so much to do!

Closest town and airport: Livingston is a 10 minute drive to the North. Bozeman is about 40 minutes away and the Gallatin Field Airport is another 10 minutes past Bozeman.Read more

  My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Suce Creek Cabin. It was beautiful and we still miss it after being away from it for two weeks! :-) We loved the fire places and the nostalgic feel of the cabin. We also loved the local wildlife. There was a robin nest on the back porch and a Kestrel nest in one of the trees in the backyard. Our only complaints were the stove in the kitchen was difficult to use as the burners only lower to a medium heat and there was no way to tell the temperature in the oven. We also wished the firepit and teepee were closer to the cabin. We loved the stream behind the cabin. We even found a few trout in it! It was so nice to go to sleep to the sound of the water every night. Whoever remodeled this cabin did an amazing job of making it beautiful, but also keeping it rustic. It was an amazing experience to stay here! We loved it!

  A true vacation

  This home/cabin is a wonderful place to spend a vacation. It is like staying in a museum that has been decorated by Ralph Lauren. Absolutely delightful. We slept with the windows open every night, listening to the soothing sounds of the Suce Creek to lull us to sleep. You feel a million miles away from it all, but in reality, you are only 10 minutes drive into Livingston. Our dogs loved the creek and the bunnies in the yard. They spent hours watching bunny TV through the windows of the house.

  Even the beds are rustic . . . as are all of the furnishings. It is appointed very nicely with interesting rustic furniture and accessories, and the layout is good. A Diva gas stove is more attractive than functional. The fireplace is very nice, and firewood is plentiful. There is no tv and there is no clock if you want to escape the real world. It's not far off a fairly busy and dusty road, and, probably because of the warm weather, there were lots of pesky insects in the cabin. Lots of nice windows but just a few with screens, and the windows needed to be cleaned. Deer visited the yard every morning which was a sweet sight. It was too rustic for our taste, but we enjoyed being in Montana.

  Suce Creek Cabin is on a secluded gravel road. The cabin is furnished with high end appliances and linens. Your first thought when entering Suce Creek Cabin is a big wow. The cabin is beautiful. Every detail has been thought of to make this cabin so comfortable. The setting is so peaceful. A true getaway. I would like to channel my gratitude to Lisa at Mountain Home for always going the extra mile to make our vacations perfect. This is our 8th or 9th year renting through Montana Mountain Home.

  There was absolutely nothing that wasn't in the cabin ready for us to enjoy!! We loved the setting and the creek running through the property. The cabin is beautifully done with character at every turn. It made our week together as a family with two sons in their twenties so perfect to enjoy!! You would love it no matter what the ages of the people, and the pictures can't even begin to do this Suce Creek cabin justice!! I'd go back in a heartbeat!! Enjoy!!

  Please Try Not to Rent the Suce Cabin because We Love It !!!
  It was a picture perfect stay !!. We timed the visit w/ the color explosion of the cedar elms and aspens, the weather was perfect. The Cabin was unbelievable ! All the luxuries of a 5 star, but rustic enough to give the experience you imagine. The property w/ Suce Creek and the authentic Tee Pee was too good to be true.
