Situated 150 metres from Loch Ness our 2 bedroom lodge sits at the edge of the forest only 3 mins walk from the Great Glen Way. It is excellent for walkers, cyclists, children and dogs as you can explore without going near any roads. You can fish, cycle, and kayak all from the lodge. There are excellent views from the front of the lodge to the mountain, waterfalls when it rains and a part of Loch Ness. There is a 42" flat screen TV with Freesat, fridgefreezer, toaster, cooker, microwave, table and 4 chairs and a corner sofa bed that can sleep two small adults or children. So, it is poss...ible to sleep 6. You will have the use of a small Barbeque. Bring your camera as you might see pinemarten, buzzards, red squirrels, woodpeckers, red legged partridge and deer. Points of interest in Fort Augustus only a few mins drive away are the former Benedictine Abbey, canal locks for yachts/boats entering and leaving Loch Ness and the cruise boats touring the southern end of Loch Ness equipped with sonar. You can also find some good pub food and a cafe for snacks together with a Brasserie in the Lovat Hotel. Points of interest in Drumnadrochit which is 20 mins drive away are Urquhart Castle, the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and some good pubs serving great food esp the Benleva Hotel - great value for money. Further up near Inverness, a 35 min drive, you can visit Culloden where the last battle took place between the English and Scots. During the winter months if it snows you can be skiing or snowboarding on the Nevis Range which is only a 35 min drive away. Or, you can be in the Isle of Skye in approx 1 hour after stopping to take pictures at the Eileen Donan Castle. 1 week rental from £325 to £675 depending on dates chosen. 3 day rentals available from £70 per night (min 4). We are 3 miles north of Fort Augustus and 2 miles south of Invermoriston on the A82 road. Look for our sign next to the yellow and black bridge flashers on the main A82 road. There is free parking for two cars. The Lodge is behind Loch Ness Highland Cottage Boutique B &B.;

  Just arrived home from a fabulous holiday in the scottish highlands,on arrival in loch ness we were greeted by fabulous hosts Lyn and Tom, and was then introduced to our wonderful piece of scottish haven called Loch Ness View Lodge.This little dwell had everything,comfortable clean cosy and warm stunning loch views and to beat it all a full woodland and mountain as your back garden,( nature at its best),.. a great time,highly reccomend the loch kayaking with tom,truly amazing...
