Trulli Angela is an impressive group of trulli, renovated to a very high standard and respecting the original rural architecture. The apartment accommodates from 2 to 5 persons, offering all modern amenities within the traditional limestone trullo. The apartment is self-catering and totally independent: it includes 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom, a well-equipped kichen, independent utilities and heating, TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi.

Trulli Angela is the perfect stay for those who wish to enjoy the best historical and artistic beauties, cities of art as well as little villages.

It's located in the heart of the Itria Valley cou...ntryside, but only 1.5 km from the town of Locorotondo with its beautiful historic centre and stunning view of the Valley. The other local towns: Cisternino (9.0 km.) picturesque and renowned for its meat restaurants, Martina Franca (6.0 km) with its Baroque architecture and Alberbello (8.0 km) designated an International Heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its concentration of more than 1000 trulli. All these medieval towns are unique in their own way, as is Ostuni (The White City) perched on top of a hill overlooking the coastal plain to the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic with sandy and rocky beaches (20 km). Further afield there is Bari, the capital of the region of Puglia and, driving south, the beautiful Baroque town of Lecce. From the early colonisation of the Greeks there followed many others enabling one to experience history throughout the ages. The Roman town of Egnazia, the famous Appian way that starts in Rome and ends in Brindisi, The Archeological Museum of Taranto and the medieval Castles of Frederick II, with the most important in Puglia, Castel del Monte (Andria 120 Km).

Extensive gardens and a common pool area will allow you to relax and have a perfect break from the busy city life. The natural beauty can be enjoyed by visiting the Nature Reserve at Torre Guaceto (30Kms) or some of the most spectacular caves in the world at Castellana Grotte (23kms). Driving through the countryside, the warm earth, the ancient olive trees and numerous vineyards, cherry and fig orchards, all add to the experience of Puglia. The quality of restaurants is excellent with most of the produce served locally sourced.   We had an excellent week in a dinky little trulo – Trullo de Leccio , it was just perfect for two. It had all home comforts, including heating as mid april nights are still cool. Airy and surprising light, it had been really beautifully restored, and was set in spacious gardens, just a short way from the town of Locorotondo.
  Rosanna runs Trulli angela and she is happy to give advice on the area and recommend good places to eat – her English is admirable too, as were her directions from Bari airport.
  There are lots of trullis to choose from, I think we were fortunate to find one so very pleasant.
