We enjoyed our stay at the Settler. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the deer over the hill in front of the cabin. The hot tub was great and the log style of the cabin and the size of the home made the stay very enjoyable. The cabin was clean and very inviting when we arrived.
Cannot think of anything we liked least. The only minor problem was the sink in the bathroom was slow to drain, but that was it. -

What a wonderful getaway location! Perfect for our family of four plus our dog. The cabin was very clean and the view was incredible. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. It was close to the local parks and convenient to a grocery for cooking in the cabin.

As always the Old Man's Cave Chalets staff were friendly and helpful. When we drove down a nice snow storm hit, I was happy the cabin stayed warm and cozy. The next day some staff members plowed the drive way and parking area and even cleared the snow from around my truck! The cabin was clean, very nice! We had a great time minus the check out day - we didn't want to leave. I know we will be renting from OMCC again soon! -

Relaxing, calming peaceful
The Settler happened to be what we were looking for and much more.
The first snowfall happened the night before we arrived, the snow holding on to the trees…shining under the bright sun, needless to say it was very whimsical.
It was a very enjoyable stay for my boyfriend and me, just the two of us before all of the holidays.
The Settler was perfect, it allowed us to unwind and stop thinking about the city.
Did I mention we drove 8 hours to get to the Settler? It was all worth it and we wouldn’t change anything.
Actually, we are already talking about going back…for a longer stay this time.

Service renting the cabin was excellent, everybody was kind and helpful. the home was warm, secluded and of course the tub was great.The house had everything we needed and our little dog also. Overall a great experience. Things to improve on are Gas grill on the deck, fix heat pump startup squeal, very loud and long, and also think about a house filter and water softner, as the water is from a well and is fetid. We of course would rent it again especially with a $15 discount per night, Let me know

With a storybook lantern to greet you at the front door you know your experience will be enchanting in this sweet little cottage. It is 'just right', as goldilocks would say, for two! Just keep in mind that an unattractive odor from the water source (sulphur) will waft through from time to time. Keep the fire burning, bring bottled water, make something tasty in the cute kitchen and you'll be set! Also, love how easy it is to get to the shops near Cedar Falls. We'll be back and next time we'll visit in the Spring!

Everything was just wonderful. The cabin was even more lovely in person than on online and had was up to date and just a cozy as can be. The view from the front porch could not have been more beautiful and the hot tub very relaxing. Perfect fall getaway :)

Cabin is very clean and secluded...hottub was awesome!!!....the staff at the old mans cave chalets could not have been more helpful and polite...the hocking hills area is BEAUTIFUL and a must see!!!....I would definately return to the settlers cabin.....

As a resident of Ohio already I was wary of making reservations in Hocking Hills b/c it seemed a bit pricey per night to only vacation 2 hours from my home but it was well worth it! My husband is active duty military and old Man's Cave was great and gave us a discount which ended up paying for the dog fee. Our yellow lab Samantha loved going hiking in the cave areas and it we liked it as well. The cabin was very comfortable and we had a great time cooking there, playing board games (that we brought) by the fire, and relaxing our aching muscles in the hot tub. We weren't paying attention lke we should have during the drive to Logan, Ohio and got lost but the friendly owners of old Man's Cave Chalets helped us find our way there and then find out way back home when the time came. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. The next time we come we might try to go out and eat and shop at some of the nearby places but this time around enjoyed staying in the cabin and away from the markets and restaurants for a couple days.

The cabin was really beautiful with an outstanding fireplace and great porch with a swing and hottub with a nice view of the sunset.
My only complaints was the lack of a King size bed and a couple small broken fixtures. Otherwise, I highly recommend the settler for a romantic getaway.
