This cabin was the perfect choice for us. Very clean, nicely furnished, and the view was beautiful. Although chalets are relatively close together, they are oriented to make you feel like you are isolated... the only view is the woods and the deck is very private. The hot tub was great. We are already planning a return trip and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

The chalet was quaint and very clean. Staff was very nice and accomodating. Hot tub was clean and in good condition. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay, and will definitely come back in the future.

For a little over $500 for two nights (4 adults) we found this to be overpriced. The kitchen facilities are minimal (not even a pair of scissors)and some are worn & old. A full size fridge/freezer would have been better though we understand you cannot fit one in the kitchen of an A Frame. For safety reasons a sturdy plastic step-stool should be provided next to the hot tub & all jets in the hot tub should work. Blinds on the bedroom windows (especially ground floor) would help and a Noon check out would have been kinder than 11 a.m. The pictures on the website are extremely misleading. We thought we would be more isolated in the "Nature Lover's Hideaway" (#117) but all 18 Chalets are the same & VERY close together.

I'm not a sucker for Valentine's Day, but this trip made this my best Valentine's Day experience to date.
The cabin we stayed in was adorable! Everything was new, clean and meticulously decorated. The high ceilings of the dining/living room were beautiful and our own hot tub awaited us! We relaxed by the fireplace and watched movies on our satellite TV!
Our main priority was to hike in Hocking Hills. The location of the chalets were perfect for this as it was only a few miles away from the state park. We were also close to general stores but far enough away from civilization!
Every person we met at Old Man's Cave Chalets were extremely friendly and helpful. Our check in and check out were smooth and hassel-free. Everything about this place was charming and wonderful. I really can't wait to go back!Response from Old Man's Cave Chalets - 02/22/2010
