LondonRelaxed and simple getaway
Left on 11/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We travelled in October so end of season and very quiet, just as we wanted. The island of Paxos is a little gem, Stone Cottages and the people of the village are all you could ask for in a holiday let. A basic but beautiful secluded cottage amongst olive groves, with 2 close beaches with crystal clear blue waters. It could easily sleep 6, but we didn't rattle around just the two of us. Spiros's mum is lovely and popped by a few times to check all was well. We had a wonderful holiday made all the more special by the people. If its a laid back chilled and friendly holiday you are after, look no further. And don't forget to hire a boat for the day! Which we did twice! Lots of lovely places to eat two just 5 mins stroll. Idyllic. Thank you Paxos!!

Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We went for a week in early October and the weather was perfect.
A taxi driver met us at the ferry and Soula met us at the cottage. It had everything you would want and is beautifully furnished and extremely quiet and peaceful , yet ideally loacated for Loggos village and Marmarmi beach.
We will definitely return. -

LondonHansel & Gretel Cottage
Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We spent two weeks in august in this cottage surrounded by olive trees and located very close to both Levrechio and Marmari beached and walking distance to Loggos. The cottage is very pretty, clean and nicely decorated inside. As there is no a/C in the house, only fans, it can get quite hot in the summer, and I would recommend lots of mosquitos repellents to enjoy the outdoor space!

TorontoA lovely and peaceful experience
Left on 08/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
My family and I ( 2 adults and 2 children 11yrs. & 12yrs) stayed here for two weeks. The cottage is situated in a fantastic location just a 2 minute walk from Marmari beach ( one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've ever been) and a 5 minute walk from the harbour of Loggos (great variety of local restaurants). Make sure and to visit Nikos grill.
We pretty much just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful beaches and great food. I would recommend hiring a boat and discovering the nearby ports of Gaios & Lakka. A visit to the island of anti-Paxos is also a must.
Overall, our vacation was fantastic and would recommend Nikolaki Cottage as it's location and comfort is spot on, a gem of the Mediterranean.
I'll be back next year.

Brighton, United KingdomDisappointing house
Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The house is set amongst tall olive trees and is very quiet and private. On arrival we were told that we had to pay the paypal charges of 45 euros.
We were constantly bitten by mosquitos due to the environment. The house is fairly basic and the kitchen equipment a bit grotty. We asked for another mozzie net which the owners mother supplied.
Its very close to 2 beaches (an easy 5 minute walk). Marmari beach is the nicest.
The village of Loggos is 10 minutes walk. All the supermarkets do free delivery. They are very expensive, for example the cheapest shampoo is 5 euros. We reckoned everything is double the price of England. The best supermarket is at the back of the village up the hill.
We hired a boat for the day which cost 100 euros.
I would recommend you really check that your flight to Corfu arrives well before the hydrofoil leaves Corfu. It generally leaves twice a day but when we arrived it had already left so we had to spend the night in Corfu. Book the hydrofoil before you go.
I would say 1 week is plenty on Paxos as all there is to do is lie on the beach. Expect loads of wealthy Italians!Response from Spiros Argyros - 09/06/2012
Owner
Dear Sarah,
I do have your email apologizing for the Pay-pal charges and offering to reimburse it back at your arrival in Paxos. We cannot control mosquitos and please understand you are in a natural niche...I would like you to read all past reviews that highlight the beauty of the cottage and furniture as well as the kitchen equipment. I am very disappointed too to read your review. Best wishes, Spiros

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and loved the peace and tranquility, the cottage is well equipped and has lots of character. There is an outside area to relax and it isn't overlooked which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. I would pack lots of mosquito protector though as I was eaten alive!
we definitely will be returning next year if we can. -

LondonSuper holiday cottage
Left on 07/04/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We had a very quiet, relaxing stay at Nikolaki Cottage.
The cottage sits at the back of an olive grove that runs down to the small but very pretty Levrechio Beach. Fronting onto the beach is the truly wonderful Bouloukos Taverna where we ate some of the best food of our holiday. From Levrechio beach, it is a short walk into Loggos where there are other excellent eateries. In May (as its low season), Bouloukos Taverna was only open for lunch so we went into Loggos for dinner each night and had a romantic walk back to the cottage through the fireflies!
The cottage is quite basic, but comfortable and spacious. Water is not overly plentiful and (we assume) for that reason there is no washing machine in the cottage; be prepared to bring plenty of clothes or to do a little hand washing! Spiros's parents (Nikos and Sulla) are very welcoming and made us feel very much at home in the cottage. Sulla would come to (discreetly) tend the garden, and once came to change the bedding and clean the cottage. We didn't have problems with mosquitos in May but it may be helpful to know that there are screens on all the windows.
You will have to make your own way from the ferry port to the cottage (no rep waiting) so if you are not hiring a car on arrival, we recommend that you pre-book a taxi before your arrival.
The cottage location is excellent and you will find all you need in Loggos. There are lots of good walks from the cottage to other bays and a local bus from Loggos that goes around the Island. We also hired a boat from Lefcothea & Panos (on the waterfront in Loggos) and had a wonderful day exploring the Island from the water.

Albairate (Mi)Briliant stay!
Left on 10/31/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This has been our first greek holiday with our son (two years old). The house lays in a beautiful spot in the middle of olive trees, just 5 min walk away from two of the most beautiful beaches in Paxos and 10 min. walk away from the small harbour of Loggos! The house has all conforts and is as cosy as a mountain cottage! Planty of room even for bigger families than ours!

We spent a pleasant summer holiday in Nikolaki Stone Cottage, along with our dog. The house is really comfortable and well-organized, nothing is missing and the presence of the stone on the walls makes it truly original. The garden is well looked after by Sulla, the mother of Spiros, discreet and constant. There are two beaches that can be reached in three minutes walking distance are stunning: enjoy the shade under the olive trees and dive in the crystal was really nice, as well as walking in Longos, just ten minutes walk from the house. We also recommend the tavern family in Longos, is one of the best places in town where we ate. Location highly recommended for anyone with a dog or children.

NorfolkA natural, uncommercialised and delightfully homelike place
Left on 07/12/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Nikolaki Stone Cottage is set in a wonderful old olive grove, private in the coolness of its surroundings. Yet it is a one minute walk from a lovely pebble beach with its own taverna. Its comfortable and homelike qualities are far more relaxing than the holiday homes of the fancy tour companies and the family who own it look after it as their own, rather than just as a commercial venture. We felt very comfortable and peaceful there, as if it were our own home rather than a rental property.

LondonWonderful holiday and excellent location
Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in May 2011
The Nikolaki Stone Cottage would probably be better described as a small villa with a large living area/kitchen on the lower floor and two bedrooms on the second storey.
The cottage is simply but tastefully furnished and the building and garden appears well maintained by Soula (Spiros' mother). There's a spa bath in the upstairs bedroom, if you like that kind of thing.
The house itself is quite cool, and shaded by the next door olive grove where, incidentally, there are fireflies. Its also about equidistant from two nearby white stone beaches (~300m) one of which has a taverna which I would very much recommend for the excellent dips and afternoon refreshing beers.
The island, of course, is not for night-clubbing or partying. If you would like a calming and peaceful holidays, away from crowds, with beautiful scenery, friendly locals and crystal water, I cannot think of a better place.
I hope to be back soon. -

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This beautiful country cottage is situated in a fantastic location just a 2 minute walk from Marmari beach and a 5 minute walk from the harbour of Loggos.
The cottage itself is spaciouse clean with everything you need and with the added bonus of a jacuzzi bath. The pictures do not give this the credit it deserves.
Overall fabulous accommodation, location and a beautiful island, definately on my list for a second visit.

The house is in very good condition: comfortable and spacious and well furnished. It is located a stone's throw from the sea but also very close to the village.
We did learn a different paxos full of peace and freedom.
we'll return as soon as possible. It remained in our hearts.
really good value for money (we were 4 adults and 2 children).
Highly recommended

Rome ItalyWonderfully Relaxing Holiday in Paradise
Left on 10/24/2010 for a stay in September 2010
A quiet, restful, beautiful cottage close to a lovely beach and a the town of loggos which is a wonderful small port town. The cottage is in a quiet location, hand-built with local stones, and the cost is very reasonable. It was a luxurious vacation for a great price! The people of loggos are kind and helpful, especially Sypro's family. They gave guidance on great restaurants and the best beaches. We rented a small, reasonably priced, motor boat and traveled around the island for two of our days in paradise - swimming in crystal waters, exploring caves, and stopping for picnics. We were at the cottage for week in September and will return very soon. We had such a lovely visit that we are considering purchasing a little place on the island. We will certainly recommend 'the stone cottage' to friends and family.

Our days at Nikolaki Stone cottage have been very relaxing and pleasant. The cottage is very charming, nicely decorated, with lots of space and an amazing location. It is in the middle of olive trees and 100 mt from two beautiful beaches in Loggos (Paxos). There is also a very good tavern in front of the beach.

Our holiday has been like a dream.
The house is very comfortable, clean.
In particular kitchen and the ground floor bathroom are really practical. All details are charming.
The two beaches next to home are very near and wonderful. The sea and the ancient olives on the beach are the mix of very special place.
