Earls Court Gardens, Kensington, Sleeps 4
Additional Location Information
Kensington is frequently associated with the city’s best dressed and well-heeled. As such, it is no surprise that it is notable in particular for its main commercial artery, Kensington High Street, home of the Whole Foods Market flagship store and a vast selection of affordable brand names. Moving westwards takes you to Shepherd’s Bush, home of the behemoth Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban mall in Europe. Alighting at the South Kensington tube stop, you begin to understand the area’s reputation as the city’s heart of high-brow culture. Right next to the station you will find a tightly knit (and well signposted) corridor of museums and galleries, all of which date from the 1851 Great Exhibition, whose profits Prince Albert used to regenerate the area. This includes the V&A;, Science and Natural History Museums, as well as the Royal Albert Hall. The beauty of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park adds weight to London's title of most verdant city of its size in the world.

What Past Guests Are Saying
Wonderful location, excellent bathroom and kitchen, but the bedr
This flat was only a few minutes walk to Embankment underground station so had excellent access to all of London. It was within easy walking distance to the National Gallery, St. Martin's in the Fields and the theaters on St. Martin's Lane. The bathroom had an excellent large shower stall with adjustable shower head. The kitchen appliances were up to date and worked well.
The bedroom was very small and a person using the second twin bed would need to crawl over the first twin bed to get to it. I slept in the bed nearest the window and found it very uncomfortable because the mattress was completely broken down with springs easily felt on the surface. In addition, it was necessary to sleep in the center of the bed because if you rolled too much to one side there was considerable risk of rolling right off the bed because the edges of the mattress were completely deteriorated and offered no support.
Only 2 towels were provided for 1 person. One was a small hand towel and the other a slightly larger towel. I would expect at least one large bath towel per person (preferable 2) plus a hand towel.
I would recommend this flat only if I was assured that the mattresses in the bedroom had been replaced.

Dear Guest, thanks for your review. I'm sorry you found the beds uncomfortable. We have taken this feedback on board and I'm pleased to say the twins beds are being replaced by one double, making access easier and of course the mattress more comfortable! Kind regards, Guy (MD Ivy Lettings)
The location could not have been better - less than a block to the tube (Embankment) to Trafalgar Square, to the Strand where there are all kinds of busses. Oyster Pass was a great saving. Restaurants on Villiers St. ,parrallel to Craven have great restaurants reasonable priced with an ambience simialr to Paris. A real find in London. The flat was OK. well fitted kitchen, bathroom but the bedroom left much to be desired. Twins but my grand-daughter preferred the couch in the living room. Furniture and flat were dated but we enjoyed that part.
