The Area
Chelsea & Battersea
Upmarket Chelsea forms a latticework of safe and quiet streets, peopled by monied Londoners, literary types and the native ‘Sloane Rangers’ who choose the area for its bustling cafes, independent businesses and artisan restaurants. The area’s main thoroughfare is the King’s Road, a delightful mix of chain stores and high-end boutiques. The area is home to the impressive exhibitions at the Saatchi Gallery, the horticultural displays of the Chelsea Physics Garden and the splendor of Sir Christopher Wren’s Royal Hospital, which plays annual host to the Chelsea Flower Show. You take a hop over to the river’s southern bank to reach charming Battersea, towered over by the decommissioned Power Station. Nearby sits Battersea Park, replete with fountains and boating lakes, delightful gardens, a small children’s zoo and the magnificent Peace Pagoda. Chelsea’s wealth has slowly spread to its more southerly cousin, and today the area is home to luxury riverside apartments and posh eateries.

Dunedin, New ZealandExcellent apartment in Covent Garden
Left on 10/08/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We stayed for 7 nights in September 2010. We found the whole experience excellent - from the first contact via the Internet when renting the apartment, to the pick up of the keys, and the duration of our stay. We couldn't have found a better located apartment in London in wonderful Covent Garden. The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated, lovely bathroom, really comfortable bed, lovely enclosed courtyard. It was a great base for our stay in London and we would definitely recommend to our friends, and also would not hesitate to book this place again when we return to London. Fantastic!!

Toronto, OntarioFlat, location, service = great
Left on 05/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010
I rented the Long Acre flat for a week in May and
opted to make my way via train/tube. I was a bit
late, but was graciously met by Alexa from Ivy
Lettings, who toured me around the apartment and
left detailed information about the area and
amenities.
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms
and their appointment. Fresh flowers waited in the
living area, along with an iPod and speaker with a
great selection of music. Nice touches!
The Covent Garden tube is just a block and a half
away, so it's literally a two minute walk. Marks &
Spencer and Tesco offer good food/alcohol
selection, so I managed to hose a small gathering
during my time there - taking full advantage of the
outdoor space.
As the rating suggests, I highly recommend Ivy
Lettings and the Long Acre flat. -

Adelaide, South AustraliaClassy digs in the heart of London
Left on 05/24/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We stayed at Long Acre for 6 nights in April, using the flat as a base for our sightseeing and catching up with London friends. Finding the flat and organising the rental was a breeze. The service was prompt, friendly and flexible. The location of the apartment is sensational, in the middle of everything but very quiet. It is well appointed and extremely roomy and comfortable. The heated outdoor area was a bonus. There is a M&S and a Piccadilly line Underground station just minutes away so we were able to easily get there from Heathrow. They even had a good coffee machine. Definitely one to return to time and time again.

AustraliaComfortable apartment in a great location with Ivy Lettings
Left on 04/12/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Ivy Lettings agency:
Guy was great to deal with - prompt and efficient in his replies and providing all information needed.
He kept us updated about where things were at through the inquiry and bookings process and helpfully met us at the property upon our arrival to greet and orient us.
Guy also pre-organised our taxi from Heathrow which was great for our evening arrival for the first time to London.
Useful instructions about appliances in the apartment and information about the local area were provided on arrival.
Long Acre letting:
The flat/apartment had plenty of room for two adults and was beautifully presented with modern, tasteful furnishings. Very clean with plenty of supplies of consumables (dishwahing powder, laundry powder, etc).
One flight of stairs from main doorway down to apartment door. Key for main door from the street was troublesome and required patience to open, which was was acknowledged by Guy on arrival.
Heating worked well and kept us comfortable during our early Spring stay.
Location:
Well situated in the heart of Covent Garden. Two minutes to Covent Garden underground station.
Easy walk to many central London sights (Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Westminster, Picadilly) with many sights/experiences right around the local area (Piazza, Opera House, Somerset House, The Strand, West End theatres).
Marks and Spencer grocery store opposite the underground station. Numerous cafes (including chains such as Pret a Manger and Starbucks - if that's your thing), pubs and restaurants all around.
We would recommend Guy and Ivy Lettings and the Long Acre apartment for a great London stay.
