A well maintained delightful one bedroom second floor apartment. This building, which is apart of Castletown House (check reviews on Trip Advisor) is well over a hundred years old and is is in an imposing converted Victorian building, .
The apartment is well apointed, and has a large spacious bedroom, with a cosy living and dining area in the next room, where you can also produce inexpensive meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We also provide some entertainment as well, a free DVD library, free Wi Fi, a few books to read, a iPod docking station as well, so don't forget your iPod.

I primi di dicembre sono stata con la mia famiglia (2 adulti ed una bimba) a Londra.
Avevo prenotato un appartamento a Kensigton, west Kensigton, a circa 100m dalla fermata omonima della metro District su segnalazione di altre due mie amiche che erano state lì negli scorsi anni.
Appartamento comodissimo, tra l'altro sulla strada principale dove si trova la fermata della metro, ci sono anche supermercati aperti sino all'1 di notte, farmacia e posti per mangiare.
La casa è carina, piccola, come si vede anche dal sito, ma in un contesto delizioso come quello di kensigton. Tipica strada residenziale, tranquillissima, ma non troppo isolata, si può girare tranquilli.
In 20 minuti arrivi al centro (covent garden...) e sei a sole due fermate dal National history museum + hyde Park
La casa era pulita e calda. Mark, il figlio del proprietario ci attendeva a casa al nostro arrivo per consegnarci le chiavi e per firmare il contratto.
Comodo anche il trasferimento dall'aeroposto di Stansted sino a casa.
Insomma quando tornerò a Londra, sicuramente alloggerò di nuvo lì!

London is tough for those who want to be able to fix some of their own meals, have some space and not spend a fortune. Castletown apartments was great. We got an upgrade to a two bedroom / livingroom / kitchen / bath for no extra money, just because it was available. The manager emailed with me, suggesting the best Underground route from the airport, there was some fruit and tea and basic supplies in the kitchen, laundry available, and it was easy to walk a few blocks to two different Underground stations with different lines. Cafes and small shops near-by. We'll go back.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The owners were inviting, extremely helpful, and host a stay that truly feels like a home away from home. The location is fantastic for easy tube access and all the sites that come with it. One of the unexpected pleasures was the interesting neighborhood and the engaging and helpful merchants and restaurant owners. Many knew Castletown House and when they found that we were guests our experience in the neighborhood became an extension of the comfortable and very interesting stay at Castletown.

Staying in London in this apartement was a real plesure. A kind, green-thinking owner, and a clean well equpped apertemnt in a quite street with groceries, restorants and the District Line underground minutes away. The beds are very confortable and the kichen very well fitted out. For coffee drinker a simple coffee machine would be an useful extra.
We´ll warmly recomand this apartemnt to our friends.
