Gouda, The NetherlandsOur girls loved it and we too!
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We spent 5 days in London with our daughters (20, 19) to celebrate our 25th anniversary.. We had perfect service from Danielle to match our needs in the jungle of opportunities in London.. The apartment was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed cooking, It was located in a nice and quiet street but only 100 metres from Oxford street where my youngest daughter could score her favourite shoes on the last day. We could walk to nearly everything or take the nearby subway for most of the time only 2-3 stops. And it almost seemed that Danielle even made the arrangement that when we visited the National Galery, we could enjoy the Irish festival at Trafalgar Square.

Left on 03/17/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Our party included seven people, two parents and five children aged 11-24. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything we ever needed. We booked an independent driver to bring us from the airport. On our arrival, the person that was suppose to wait for us was already there. The owner prepared two air mattresses but we preferred to use the two coaches at the living room. There are no keys for the rooms nor the toilet in the parents room. Only the main toilet/bathroom had a key.
As mentioned in other reviews, the location is excellent.
The flat manager was very quick to respond before making the deal but much slower afterwards. It made be a bit concerned but overall I am very happy with the results.
Thanks you.

The property was well equipped and clean. The cleaners were very nice and very helpful. The location was first class, convenient for shops, restaurants and the tube. The only down side was that we found the lounge chairs uncomfortable otherwise I would have given a 5 star review.

The location of this property is fantastic. it is very much in the heart of London. 5 minute walk to 3 different tube lines. Walking distance to West End plays , chinatown and Soho. Oxford st has a great diversity of shopping and Fitzrovia has a great diversity of places to eat that can accommodate all tastes and budgets.
The apartment itself matches the pictures on the website and easily accommodated our family of mum and dad and 2 teenage daughters. Another positive of the apartment is that although you are centrally located the street itself is not busy and noise is not an issue. It is a great base to experience London from.

Edina, MinnesotaGreat apartment, fabulous location
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We loved our stay on Newman Street! We traveled to London for Christmas with my husband, myself, our two teenage sons and my parents. The apartment was as pictured - modern, convenient and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the bedding and towels nice. The kitchen is small by american standards; but well enough equipped for cooking (we ate breakfast each day and several lunches there). The apartment is two blocks from bustling Oxford Street but Newman Street is very quiet. Right around the corner and down two blocks is the Goodge Street tube stop. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Easy access to all of the city.
Two less positive comments - the washer/dryer combo worked well to wash, but very poorly to dry. Sometimes we could get it to dry - but needed to leave time for several attempts and several hours. Worked fine to wash/dry just a couple of items but don't plan to wash/dry much. The van that picked us up at the airport met us promptly. However, we couldn't fit 6 people plus baggage (I has checked this before and thought we could) nor were the property managers there when we arrived. We stood outside in the rain for 30 minutes waiting for someone to arrive to let us in the apartment. The car was not paid for - it was 140 pounds for the car, luckily we brought pounds with us. I mistakenly thought it was included in the rental price. We used a different service back to the airport that all 6 of us and our luggage could fit in. The price was 80 pounds. I suggest taking the train or tube or hiring your own car rather than using the one arranged for by the property manager.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily stay in this unit again! -

Christchurch, New ZealandGreat flat but holiday let down with manager trouble
Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Really great flat in interesting location, somehow quiet even though right in the middle of town and surrounded by good restaurants. Good amount of living space, comfortable bedrooms and good showers. But big problems with our booking. The people at London Property were very quick to respond to our emails before our payment but much less on to it after. We never received any confirmation of our payment, the dates we booked or details of the location. When we called from New Zealand we would always get friendly reassurance but would have liked to have something in writing (as we requested). In the event, there was a double booking for the first night of our stay which we found out about less 48 hours before our arrival. We were offered a night in a Covent Garden flat and a refund for the night. The replacement flat was OK and in very central location but involved lots of stairs we had to drag up our huge family sized suitcases for just one night. To date we have not received the promised refund. When we arrived at the proper rental at the arranged time there was only the very nice cleaner there who had no idea we were going to be arriving but luckily believed us and let us in, as there was no answer to our calls to the flat manager. Once we left the managers nicely agreed that a broken plate would not be a problem and that we would get back our full deposit but it took over a month - and many emails - before it was returned. I 'm still hopefully that we will get the extra refund because my impression is that they are disorganized and frantic not intentionally dishonest.

It is hard to add anything new to previous recommandations:
- All in all the flat was perfect for our family (parents in the master bedroom, two girls in their room and the boy in his). Bedrooms are facing the quiet courtyard. One can say that the flat has just been renovated - at least it was in a better condition than our own appartment: )
- The flat has everyhing you need and in perfect condition - just to mention the most useful ones for us: wifi, washing machine with a dryier.
- Walking distance to Euston, St.Pancras and King´s Cross Stations, Theatres in Soho (Let It Be!) , British Museum and around 200 metres to Tottenham Court Road and Goodge underground stations. -

My husband and I were joined by our London family (son and two granddaughters, ages 13 and 9) for a Christmas/New Year Holiday. The five of us were delighted to have such a comfortable, well maintained rental with everything we could possibly want or need. The three-bedrooms and the location helped make a perfect setting for holiday adventures about the city. I really appreciated Danielle's helpfulness in securing just the right location for us throughout the entire process. I would look forward to working with her again for a London holiday.

The apartment is in a superb location, close to oxford street with lots of restaurant and pubs around but next to a very quiet street. 2 blocks to Tube (goodge st). The size is small but very well furnished. The bedrooms are small and you cannot do anything but sleep in them. The washer/dryer did not work. Over very bad experience with the property manage/neighbor (I am not sure) as she kept on barking at us for not closing the door even though half of our team was not even out of the place. Try to stay away from this lady. Also try not to get any service from the office as they surely will come with an excuse. Try talking to Danielle Green directly as she is very professional on dealing with all the issues. Cannot say the same about rest of her team.

The best thing about this flat is Danielle & Karen, who manage it. We were contacted about a plumbing "issue" as we were leaving for the airport to London. We actually spent the 1st few days of our trip in a second flat on South Bank & then moved to this one. It all worked out well because of the effort Danielle, especially did for us.
Our family of 3 teen girls, my husband & me fit in well to the 3 BR (1 w/2 twins, 1 w/1 twin & the double master suite w/bath) flat.
This flat is in a great location with lots to do within walking distance. Tube stations are nearby as is a Tesco groc store. There are a lot of nearby restaurants & our girls liked the cupcake shop (take away).
The apartment was clean, well decorated & others had left London travel books there for reference, too. The internet (wireless), TV and phone all worked well and made our stay easier.
The only negative was that many of the windows in this Victorian were painted shut & the week we were there was hot. The living room was pretty stuffy. 90% of the time in London this wouldn't be a problem; the fireplace would have been handy I suspect. We spent a lot of time in the comfortable kitchen eating ice cream.
Danielle & Karen were immediately responsive to our questions regarding mechanical functions of appliances or plumbing, for example.
This was a really fun vacation for us in spite of an unexpected "issue". Spending time on the South Bank turned out to be an unexpected opportunity to wander in a 2nd neighborhood. Ask Danielle about the "Loft on Waterloo" that is good for teens if this one isn't available.

Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We are a family of four, with two high school age children. This flat allowed us to give both children their own rooms, a real luxury during our two week European vacation. The flat is well maintained and came with many extra features and was well stocked with sundries upon our arrival. Bedrooms are quiet and face away from Newman Street, which is a less travelled side street with minimal traffic. We were very surprised with the location of the flat. The Goodge tube station is very close and there are a variety of good, inexpensive restaurants (English, French, Indian and Italian) within a few blocks. The streets around the flat were filled with people in the evenings enjoying dinner and drinks outdoors. Our visit came just after the London riots in early august, so the restaurant activity in the evenings shows the safety of the area. Grocery stores are a few blocks away and Oxford Street with its shops is also around the corner. Danielle was also very helpful arranging a late checkin and early morning private car service to Heathrow upon our departure. We will return to this flat on our next visit to London.

Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in June 2011
There was construction going on next store throughout our stay. Jackhammers started at 8 am and went until 6 o'clock pm. Question is: Is that just bad luck? We certainly would not have stayed there if we had been duly informed about this. Washer and dryer were advertised but unusable. Even though we were given some money compensation for this, it was very inconvenient. It took many e-mails before everything was finally settled.
Response from London Property Rentals - 08/28/2011
Manager
As guest states they were given compensation for washer/dryer and other reviews state it is useable, noise was a one off due to a shop being redecorated, nothing we could do about this, and had we been aware would have told guest happily, last guest and guest after these clients had no complaints.

My family (2 parents and our three children, ages 18, 16 and 12) stayed in this flat for 4 nights in July. It was in a residential building btween Oxfoard and Goodge Streets. The location was great. We could walk to many restaurants, grocery stores, the underground, taxis - which as a family of five we found to be less expensive than taking the underground. The aprtment was well appointed and clean and, although small, offered a good sized living room and three bedrooms. We also had two bathrooms with two toilets, which was great since we had so many people. The flat is located on the second floor (third to americans), but there is a small lift. our contact (Danielle) was very prompt answering any questions we had. I would recommend staying in this flat and, if we travel to London in the future, would not hesitate to stay here.

Left on 06/29/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in London and this apartment was definitely part of the whole experience.
Although having never stayed in the Fitzrovia / Bloomsbury area, we selected the apartment based on the numerous food and dining options, particularly excellent coffee, that were in easy walking distance. We managed to get to quite a few of these and were not disappointed, it was great to be in easy such easy striking distance !
The apartment is comfortable with each room having good beds and cupboard space. The kitchen has the basic utensils and is set up for dining in should you want to. The lounge room was nice, particularly the bay window which our daughter liked to sit in and look out at what was happening on the street.
There are a couple of tube stations nearby and the buses are close also.
Our only gripe was a minor one with the apartment not ready for us when we checked in although that gave us the excuse to head out for basic supplies so it wasn’t all that bad.
Danielle (the manager) was able to organise transfers to Heathrow for us which was very handy. -

My wife and I have been to London a few times before. Our last stay was in Mayfair, which we loved for its convenience. This time, however, we found this apartment on Newman Street. Though we knew nothing about this area North of Oxford Street, we liked the look of the place, especially three bedrooms, even though there were only the two of us. As it turns out, we invited friends who live outside London to stay a night with us, which they did, without any problems or squeezing.
The apartment looked just as it does in the listings photographs, though the living room is a little smaller than it appears. Still, there was no sense of crowding. Btw, this apartment has more than enough closet space, an important consideration for most travelers. When we arrived, we were greeted and given a tour, and shown how to operate appliances, TV etc. There was a problem with the washer/dryer that developed late in our stay. But, I was told it would be taken care of. It proved to be no issue.
I titled this piece Getting to Know Fitzrovia. What a wonderful surprise. We felt much more a part of the neighborhood than we did in Mayfair. There is a wealth of restaurants a block or two away. We loved de Paolo, a charming Italian restaurant. For French, Chez Gerard is our recommendation. There are numerous pubs, etc.
Transportation is a breeze with frequent cabs. The Goodge Street Tube station is two blocks to the West...or there is bus transit, as well.
In summary, its easy to fit into the neighborhood when out, and easy to enjoy your apartment when in. -

When I saw the flat on line I knew it looked perfect, I just didn't realize how perfect it would be. The location was outstanding. You are literally with in walking distance to two different tube stops, Goodge and Tottenham. There was a local pub right around the corner where the two 18 year olds made their home away from home - The One Tun. The grocery store was about a block away as well as were some other great restaurants. We dined at three different places over the week; we even walked all the way to Picadilly Circus one evening. The only comment is that while there is a washer/dryer combo, it's a bit odd and I did have some trouble getting my clothes dry, but it could have been me not knowing how to use it correctly. Anyone who is looking for a place to stay in London should definitely consider this flat!!!

Danielle contacted me by email on the morning of our departure from the us to advise of "plumbing problems" in the property we had reserved. We ended up in this flat. I should have been prepared by the photos taken with a fish-eye lens. Forget the fact that the bedrooms are shoe-box size by american standards - but for what we paid I expect a comfortable bed (not springs poking me in the back), more than one bath towel each for 9 nights, a bar of bath soap, a functional washer/dryer, and if the place sleeps 6, how about a dining table that seats 6? Very disappointed - I will not stray from Vrbo in the future. When the owner does the renting, they have an interest in the client, not just their money.

My husband and I used it as a base for our trip to Greece while my parents and 12 yr old son stayed there for 15 days. It was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Everyone was helpful and professional. The living room and kitchen are spacious. The beds are so comfortable and the bathrooms very functional. Not sure what all the fuss is about the noise. Compared to other cities I found it very quiet. We were there when the buses were being diverted as well and there was construction going on the front of the building but not once did it seem loud or intrusive. First impressions of the building interior: disappointing and old. But once you open up that apartment door wow! The building is very secure and it really does feel like home away from home. I was sorry to leave it and would love to stay there again! Ps...the cleaning staff will tell you there is a groccery store around the corner to the left. It is really just a mini mart and quite expensive. I recommend heading out the building, turn right, turn right again and then you are on Tottenham. Great groccery store to your left. Nice neighbourhood here as well with lots of restaurants and cafes. Also, it only costs roughly 10 GBP to cab it from Victoria Station to the front door of your apartment building and the numbers 73 and 7 buses will take you anywhere thats worth going to in London. Leave the building, turn left and head to Oxford - its about a 3 min walk. Turn right, cross the road and up a bit is your bus stop to all the great sites. Great location!

It was great. The flat was clean, modern, comfortable, and spacious -- not cute/charming/colorful, but absolutely functional. Everything we needed was there, and everything worked just as it should, no problems of any kind. Four of us stayed the whole week, with an additional adult for two nights, and there was ample room for everyone. I guess I don't have to comment on the location, but I will anyway: it's slap bang in the center of the city, within walking distance of just about everything, including easy transport to anywhere. As to the service, Danielle and her people were very much on the ball -- attentive, responsive, efficient, and pleasant. Just so you don't think I'm full of it, I'll complain about something -- loud buses on the narrow street outside, diverted from Oxford Street during work on the Tottenham Court Road tube station -- but the bedrooms are in the back anyway, so it's no big deal. I'd go back tomorrow if I could.

Very happy with this apartment. Obviously newly refurbished throughout, new everything: bathrooms, kitchen, wardrobes. Very close to good restaurants in Charlotte St and tube stations. Little bit of traffic noise on the street due to temporary roadworks on Oxford Street, but the bedrooms are at the back so no problem. Used to holiday rent places in Kensington but this is better because it's so bang in the middle. Walked to the theatre for a show! Internet and cable tv all as advertised. Added extra of people-watching the office workers in the block office opposite. Definitely come back. Two bed places further out are cheaper, but this is worth the extra.

In June my two teenage sons stayed in London for a week at this fabulous apartment. The apartment is modern, clean, comfortable and efficient. It had every convenience we could possibly need. The kitchen was great, and I used the washer/dryer combo nearly eavery day. I have two tall sons, and they could stretch out comfortably on the sofa and the windowseat.
The street was fairly busy, but there was very little noise at night. It was convenient to two Tube stops and many shops, stores and restaurants. A short walk took us to Chinatown and Trafalgar Square. Wonderful.
The only downside was that it would have been nice to have some info about the area in the apartment. I had to look up grocery stores on the internet, and I chose a soso store, not realizing a much nicer one was actually closer to the apartment. It was not a big deal, really, but it would have been nice. I could, however, use the great, free wireless in the apartment to check my emails and map out our sightseeing. -

After landing in London and finding out the place we thought we had rented was double booked...I thought our trip was going to be a disaster...but after staying in this wonderful place...I realize it was a blessing in Disguise, the location was perfect...we did have a bit of street noise but this was only because they were doing construction on Oxford Circus and things were being rerouted...the bedrooms are all on the back and overlook a little garden area...very nice...made the place feel so open with windows off every bedroom. The bathrooms were very modern, had excellent water pressure and heated quickly...the heated towel racks were a nice touch as well. I also want to add that Danielle worked very hard to make things right for us...I would recommend them and use them again and may even stay here again...As a family with 4 children the one issue we had was the lack of a washer and Dryer...they offered a washer that can also be used as a dryer and doing laundry became a bit time consuming...I'm sure this is a space issue but I really needed both.
